We are an established art and home decor business looking for an experienced e-commerce web developer to help migrate and redesign our online store from Web.com to Shopify.
Our current site is hosted on Web.com’s store builder, but we have reached the platform’s 500-product limit. We are expanding our inventory to include collections of greeting cards, smaller art prints, and original artwork, and we need a flexible, scalable Shopify setup that can handle catalog growth smoothly. Scope of Work: Catalog & Data Migration: Safely export and migrate all existing product listings, high-resolution imagery, descriptions, and variants from Web.com to Shopify. Store Design & Theme Customization: Select and customize a clean, visually compelling, mobile-responsive Shopify theme that complements an artisanal, fine art brand aesthetic. Navigation & Collection Architecture: Build an intuitive catalog structure (e.g., categories for original paintings, prints, greeting cards, and gift items) with effective search and filtering. Integrations & Checkout: Configure payments, shipping tiers, basic SEO (including 301 redirects to protect existing search visibility), and automated transaction emails. Domain & Launch: Connect our custom domain and ensure a smooth go-live transition with minimal downtime. Handoff & Training: Provide a brief walkthrough or loom video showing how our team can easily add new inventory, manage collections, and fulfill orders going forward. Required Experience: Proven track record building and launching successful Shopify stores (please provide portfolio links). Experience with platform migrations, CSV product structuring, and managing 301 redirects. Strong eye for typography, layout, and visual presentation suited for art and lifestyle brands. Clear, proactive communication and adherence to timelines. To Apply, Please Include: 1. Links to 2–3 Shopify stores you have designed, built, or migrated (bonus if art, handmade goods, or specialty retail). 2. A brief overview of your process and estimated timeline for moving off Web.com to Shopify. 3. Your proposed rate (fixed-price preferred, or hourly estimate).

We have a fully built, high-converting website currently hosted on chariot-ai.com, and we need an experienced developer to handle the cutover from our old Shopify-hosted site.
To be clear: this is not a page-by-page manual rebuild. The new site is already fully designed and built. We need someone who understands modern platform deployment and how to execute a clean domain cutover. Scope of Work: 1. Domain & DNS Cutover: Configure and update the DNS records (A and CNAME records) at our domain registrar to point our main domain from Shopify to the new site hosted on Chariot. 2. Platform Transition Check: Safely transition our web presence over while ensuring proper propagation, zero unnecessary downtime, and verifying that everything loads correctly. 3. Audit & Verification: Confirm that SSL certificates, domain routing, and mobile responsiveness are functioning seamlessly on the live domain. Requirements: Proven experience managing DNS settings, domain registrars, and pointing custom domains to modern web platforms. Clear understanding of Shopify infrastructure versus external front-end platforms. Direct, no-fluff communicator who can get this done quickly and correctly without making up imaginary manual roadblocks. To Apply: Please start your proposal with the word "CHARIOT" so I know you actually read the description. Briefly mention your experience with DNS routing and platform cutovers.

I need a UK-based health testing website (WordPress) updated with a new locations system, completed within 10 days. The hard part — a postcode search connected to our partner clinic network (API) — is already built and working on our Services booking page. This job is about reusing that existing, functioning integration to build a new standalone locator page and a set of regional location hub pages.
Critical requirement: no loss of existing rankings or traffic. Brentwood, Basildon, Billericay, and Chelmsford currently have live pages that are indexed and ranking in Google, some receiving real organic traffic. These pages must NOT be deleted, rebuilt, or have their URLs changed. The new Essex regional hub simply links out to these existing pages — it does not replace, merge, or absorb them. The only exception is the current Surrey page, which is being intentionally replaced (see below, with a required 301 redirect). What's needed: 1. New "Find Your Nearest Clinic" page • Duplicate the existing postcode search widget (already live and functional elsewhere on the site) onto a new standalone page • Strip out booking-only elements (visit type, appointment slot, add to basket) — this page is for discovery, not booking • Each result should show: clinic name, host location name/address, distance, and a "Book Here" button • Include a "browse by region" section with links to the regional hub pages below • Must match existing site styling exactly (header, footer, fonts, colours) • Must be indexable/crawlable by Google (not purely client-side rendered with no content in page source) 2. Seven regional location hub pages, each listing partner clinics in that region (data supplied on day 1): • Essex — links out to the existing Brentwood, Basildon, Billericay, and Chelmsford pages (does not rebuild or replace them) • Surrey — replaces the current outdated Surrey page; requires a 301 redirect from the old URL to the new one • London • Manchester • Birmingham • Bristol • Bromley 3. Navigation update: add all new pages under the existing "Locations" dropdown menu, with existing town pages remaining accessible as they are now (nested under Essex) 4. Staggered publishing: pages should be built together but published in two batches roughly a week apart — please set this up so it's easy to schedule/publish in stages rather than all at once What I'll provide, ready on day 1: • Full location dataset (spreadsheet: clinic name, address, postcode, per region) • Access to the existing API integration/codebase • Brand styling reference (existing site pages) • Content/copy for each regional hub page Requirements: • Experience with WordPress, API integrations, and basic on-page SEO (page titles, meta descriptions, indexability) • Please confirm in your proposal that you understand: existing location pages (Brentwood, Basildon, Billericay, Chelmsford) are to be preserved and linked to, not merged, replaced, or restructured. Any changes to these live, ranking pages must be discussed and approved before being made. • Please confirm 10 days is realistic for this scope given everything will be supplied on day 1 — or let me know what you'd need to hit it • Please confirm: can this data source be set up to pull live from an API going forward (so it stays current automatically), or would that require additional scope? Timeline: 10 days from project start, assuming all data/content is provided on day 1 as outlined above.

The project will include: • Adjusting the existing videos specifically for the mobile version of the website • Making sure videos are properly sized and positioned on phone screens • Ensuring videos crop correctly and don’t look stretched or awkward • Optimizing video loading and performance for mobile • Setting up autoplay, mute, looping, or other settings where appropriate • Making sure the videos work properly on iPhone and Android • Checking how the videos appear across different mobile screen sizes • Making any small responsive design adjustments needed around the videos • Testing the finished mobile experience to make sure everything looks polished and seamless • Ensuring the desktop version remains unchanged and continues to function properly The videos and website are already built and live. We’re a skincare e-commerce brand with a paid ads issue: our link click to page view ratio is only about 20%, and we’re losing traffic between the click and page load. Tracking is working correctly, so this is not a data or attribution problem. We need someone who can diagnose what’s causing the drop and fix it. This could involve page speed, redirects, mobile load issues, or server-side problems. Hi. I am looking for an experienced web developer to set up a professional dating website for a broad audience. The project will be run under our US LLC. All communication will be in writing via Upwork.
We are purchasing the Dating Pro (Basic Source Code Package). You will be responsible for the full installation, frontend design, and setting up the backend panels. Note: We are NOT building an app. This is 100% a website only. We want to use as much of the existing chat operator functionality as possible. We are not looking for someone to build a chat queue from scratch Your Technical Tasks & Requirements: 1. Design & Website Setup • Set up a high-risk-friendly VPS hosting account (e.g., Hostinger) and connect our .dk domain with full SSL. • Customize the frontend design to look clean, attractive, and highly professional. • The platform must be a fully responsive website: It needs to work flawlessly on all smartphones via web browsers (Safari, Chrome) and adapt perfectly to desktop computers. 2. Custom Chat Operator & Admin Panels (Main Focus) We need the hidden Chat Operator Panel and Admin Panel configured to function as a professional chat agency backend: • The Live Queue: All incoming messages must land in a centralized, chronological queue. • Auto-Forward / Sluse System: Operators must log in and click a single "Get Next Message" button to automatically enter the queue. When the operator hits "Send", the reply is saved, and the system instantly and automatically forwards the operator to the next available message in the queue. Operators should never browse or select users manually. • The Workspace Layout (Logs): o Center/Top Log: Displays the full chat history. It must include a "Pinning Feature" where operators can pin the most important facts (e.g., age, hobbies) so they are always visible at the very top. o Side Logs: Left side must display the male customer’s log/data, and the right side must display the female profile's log/data and internal notes. 3. Optional AI Integration (Nice-to-Have Bonus Feature) • If possible, we would like the option to connect an external LLM API for night shifts (01:00 - 06:00). • This must be 100% flexible: In the Admin Panel, I must be able to turn this feature ON or OFF completely, and I must be able to choose specific profiles that use it, while keeping all other profiles 100% manual. • Note: We are purchasing the Dating Pro Basic Package, which comes out-of-the-box with native AI-agent documentation files (AGENTS.md and CLAUDE.md). The codebase is already optimized and structured for AI tools, meaning you do not have to build the AI infrastructure from an empty folder. 4. Payment Gateway • Integrate CCBill API securely so users can purchase credit packages on the website. 5. Future Server Migration Requirement: • We will initially launch the website using the 3 months of free hosting included with the Dating Pro license. However, it is a strict requirement that after these 3 months, you will assist us in fully migrating the entire website, the database, and the Live Queue setup over to our own adult-friendly VPS hosting account (such as Hostinger). This migration must be done smoothly with zero downtime for our active users. 6. Long-Term Partnership & Monthly Support Model (After the 3-month free support from Dating Pro) We are looking for a reliable, long-term technical partner. After the initial website setup, and the 3 months of free support from Dating Pro, we will transition to a Monthly Retention Fee model to secure your 24/7 emergency availability. Our terms for the monthly support are: • Fixed Monthly Fee: You will receive a fixed budget every month just for being on-call and standing by. • Guaranteed Response Time: You must respond and start working on critical server or script crashes within 10 to 30 minutes via WhatsApp/Telegram. • Included Hours: The monthly fee must include 3-4 hours of maintenance work for small bugs or updates. Please apply only if you have prior experience with Dating Pro architectures. Please state your expected Fixed Price for the initial website setup, your expected Monthly Fee for this standby support, and your hourly rate for any extra work beyond the included hours.

## Website Navigation & Footer Rebuild – Must Be Fully CMS Editable
We are looking for an experienced web developer to rebuild and improve the main navigation menu and footer navigation on an existing client website: **ATA Carnet Express** We will provide a detailed Excel spreadsheet showing the required navigation structure, menu groups, link text, URLs and footer changes. ### Background The website's current main navigation was created by a previous developer and appears to rely heavily on custom JavaScript/code. The problem is that the client cannot properly maintain or amend the navigation themselves. Changes currently require developer involvement. **We do not want to reproduce this problem.** The new navigation must be implemented so that, once this project is complete, the client can manage normal menu changes themselves through the website's CMS/admin area. This is a key requirement of the project. ### Main Navigation The supplied spreadsheet defines the required new structure. The principal navigation will include: * Home * ATA Carnets * How To Use * Countries & Industries * Insights & Guides * Get A Quote * About Us Several of these contain dropdown menus with multiple pages. The developer will need to implement the supplied structure and format the navigation professionally so that it is visually clear, attractive and easy to use. The navigation must work correctly across desktop, tablet and mobile devices. ### Footer The footer navigation also needs to be updated in accordance with the supplied spreadsheet. This includes: * Correcting existing links * Changing some link labels * Adding/reorganising links * Removing links identified for removal * Correcting links which currently point to the wrong page/domain * Maintaining a clean and well-formatted footer layout ### CRITICAL REQUIREMENT – Client Must Be Able to Edit the Navigation We do **not** want a solution where menu content is hard-coded into JavaScript, templates or other source files and a developer is required every time the client wants to make a normal menu change. After completion, an authorised website administrator must be able to manage the menu through the CMS/admin interface. They must be able to: * Add a new menu item * Remove a menu item * Change menu text * Change the destination URL * Reorder menu items * Add an item to a dropdown * Remove an item from a dropdown * Move items between appropriate menu groups * Make equivalent routine changes to footer links Normal content/navigation changes must **not require editing JavaScript, PHP, CSS, templates or other source code**. Custom development may of course be used for the presentation and behaviour of the navigation where necessary, but the **menu content and structure must remain manageable through the CMS**. ### Design / UX We do not simply want the spreadsheet reproduced as a basic list. The developer should use their front-end experience to make the navigation: * Professional * Modern * Well spaced * Easy to scan * Clear when dropdowns contain a larger number of links * Consistent with the existing ATA Carnet Express website design * Fully responsive * Touch friendly on mobile/tablet * Accessible, including sensible keyboard navigation and focus states Where a dropdown contains many links, we expect the developer to consider the most appropriate presentation rather than creating an unwieldy menu. ### Existing Website / Code Before changing the navigation, the successful freelancer should review the existing implementation and identify how the current menu has been constructed. We do not want unnecessary changes to unrelated areas of the website. Any existing custom JavaScript or code which is made redundant by the new navigation implementation should be identified and, where safe and appropriate, removed rather than leaving conflicting/obsolete code behind. ### Testing The completed work must be tested for: * Desktop navigation * Tablet navigation * Mobile navigation * Dropdown behaviour * Touch behaviour * Links and destinations * Header layout * Footer layout * Reasonable cross-browser compatibility * No adverse effect on the rest of the website All links in the supplied navigation map should be checked against the implemented version. ### Handover Before final sign-off, we require a short handover. The freelancer must demonstrate how the client can: 1. Add a menu item 2. Remove a menu item 3. Reorder menu items 4. Change a menu item's text and URL 5. Add/remove an item from a dropdown 6. Update the footer navigation A short written guide or screen-recorded walkthrough should also be supplied. ### Deliverables The project will be considered complete when: * The new header navigation has been implemented * The footer navigation has been updated * The supplied link map has been followed * Navigation is professionally formatted and responsive * All relevant links have been tested * Client administrators can maintain routine navigation changes through the CMS * No developer/code changes are required for normal future menu updates * Redundant menu code has been identified and appropriately dealt with * Handover/documentation has been provided ### When Applying Please do not send a generic application. Please confirm: 1. That you understand the requirement for the navigation to be **client/CMS editable after completion**. 2. How you propose to achieve this. 3. Whether you have experience replacing hard-coded/custom JavaScript navigation with CMS-managed navigation. 4. Examples of responsive dropdown/mega-menu navigation you have previously built. 5. Your estimated timescale for completing and testing the work. The detailed navigation and footer link map will be supplied to the successful freelancer.

We're an emerging DTC brand selling premium natural wellness products to the
US market. Our website is live, email automation is built, and we're now scaling paid acquisition. We're looking for ONE experienced performance marketer to own Meta Ads (primary) and Google Merchant Center + Shopping (secondary). THIS IS A TWO-STAGE ENGAGEMENT: Stage 1 — Fixed-price setup project (USD 400–600): scope below. Stage 2 — Monthly retainer (~1,000–1,500/mo depending on seniority) if Stage 1 succeeds. Not guaranteed — Stage 2 commencement is contingent on Stage 1 KPIs being met and mutual agreement on strategy fit. You'll be evaluated on defined KPIs. === CONTEXT === • Products: premium consumable wellness products, 25–90 USD per unit • Market: US only. Audience: health-conscious Americans aged 35–65. • Fulfillment: US orders fulfilled via Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment (fast, reliable US delivery — a conversion asset, not just logistics). Our website also offers product subscriptions — repeat purchase and subscriber LTV are core to the business model; factor into CAC math. • Existing Amazon US presence in parallel — you'll advise on DTC/Amazon channel coexistence (pricing, message consistency), not manage Amazon. • Stack: Headless Next.js frontend + WooCommerce backend (NOT standard Shopify — if you've only installed Shopify apps, read carefully before applying) • Email automation already live in Klaviyo (welcome, abandoned cart, post-purchase). You'll coordinate with our email specialist. • Ad budget: ~3,000 USD/month to start, scaling if performance proves out. • Free shipping threshold: 60 USD on all US orders — factor into AOV/CPA math. • Conversion funnel includes a product-fit quiz landing page — experience driving paid traffic to quiz funnels is a plus. • Brand site, product details, and audience data shared with shortlisted candidates under standard confidentiality. === WHERE WE ALREADY ARE (IMPORTANT — READ) === • Meta Business Manager, ad account, and FB/IG pages are ESTABLISHED and verified. • We have run FB and IG ads for ~6 months — historical campaign data and a content creator producing 3 posts/reels per week throughout that period (a library of existing creative to mine and repurpose for paid). • NO PIXEL has ever been implemented on our website. Website conversion tracking starts from zero with you. === STAGE 1 SCOPE (FIXED PRICE) === 1. AUDIT FIRST: review our 6 months of Meta ad history — what creative, audiences, and placements performed; produce a written findings summary and a creative testing matrix (6–10 ad concepts) derived from what already works, ready for briefs. 2. Meta tracking: implement and configure Pixel + Conversions API (CAPI) — server-side events via our WooCommerce REST API. Verify Purchase events fire correctly, correct event deduplication, and set an appropriate event match quality score target. 3. Verify GA4 e-commerce event alignment with Meta tracking — flag any double-counting or mismatches between the two. 4. Set up Google Merchant Center: product feed from WooCommerce, full catalog approved, free listings live in the US. Keyword-led product title/attribute optimization in the feed. 5. Build Meta campaign structure: Advantage+ Shopping campaign informed by your history audit, retargeting campaign (site visitors, ATC, quiz completers), correct conversion event prioritization. No existing customer/email list yet — structure accordingly. 6. Deliver a tracking checklist doc: every event, where it fires, how to verify — including UTM and coupon-attribution conventions agreed with our team — so we can QA independently. === STAGE 2 (MONTHLY RETAINER) === • Meta campaign management: daily monitoring, creative testing roadmap, budget scaling (+20% per week rule) • Google Shopping: feed optimization, later a Performance Max campaign • Weekly report: spend, ROAS, CPA, MER — in plain English • Creative direction: you brief static ad assets (made by our in-house designer) and video/UGC assets (new video creator to be hired in parallel — you set the creative direction and briefs they work from). You direct briefs — you don't need to produce creative yourself. === TRACKING & INTEGRATION PARTNERSHIP (IMPORTANT) === Our website is headless Next.js + WooCommerce. YOU will implement and configure the marketing-platform side: Meta Pixel, CAPI, event schema, Merchant Center feed. Our in-house web developer will ADVISE on how best to integrate with our headless architecture — you collaborate with him; he does not write the tracking code for you. You should be comfortable driving an implementation end-to-end with dev consultation rather than dev execution. === MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS (non-negotiable) === • 3+ years managing Meta ads for DTC ECOMMERCE brands (product sales, not local services or lead gen) • Hands-on experience implementing Conversions API on a custom/headless stack — describe a CAPI setup you personally built • Google Merchant Center experience — describe a feed issue you diagnosed and fixed • Portfolio of DTC brands you grew from under 5k/mo to meaningful scale • Comfortable with strict compliance: this is an FDA-regulated food product and we reject all health/disease claims in ad copy. You must know what passes Meta review in 2026 for wellness products. === WORKING RELATIONSHIP === • Weekly sync call (video) + async updates between; we're NZ-based, our audience is US — candidates covering both time windows preferred • Agreed response-time expectations for urgent items (account flags, tracking failures) • Fixed reporting day each week === ACCESS & SECURITY (NON-NEGOTIABLE) === All pixels, audiences, and campaigns stay under OUR owned Meta Business Manager and ad account. You'll receive partner access — never ownership transfer. Same for Merchant Center. On any future offboarding: full handover documentation and transfer of any custom audiences created is expected. All Stage 1 work product (tracking setup, feed, audit documents, campaign architecture) is our property under Upwork's standard contract terms. === HOW TO APPLY === Answer these 3 questions (applications without them will be declined): 1. Our website is headless Next.js + WooCommerce. You'll implement the Meta Pixel + CAPI yourself (server-side events via our WooCommerce REST API), with our developer ADVISING on integration architecture — he won't write the tracking code for you. Describe a CAPI implementation you personally built on a custom/headless stack: which events fired server-side vs browser, what challenges came up, and how you verified accuracy. 2. Given 6 months of historical ad data but ZERO website pixel history, what's your first-month campaign and creative testing structure? 3. What's the single biggest mistake brands make with Google Merchant Center feeds? Bonus: anonymized screenshots of past account results (spend + ROAS/CPA). Client's questions:

Job description
I am looking for an experienced web developer to help complete an existing custom-designed website for my consumer product brand. The website has already been designed and built in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I am not looking for a redesign or a new website from scratch. I need someone who can work carefully with what already exists, preserve the established visual design, correct remaining issues, and help turn it into a polished, fully functional website. The work will include: * Correcting layout, spacing, alignment, and responsive-display issues * Making sure existing buttons, navigation, overlays, animations, and interactive elements function correctly * Testing and correcting the website for desktop, tablet/iPad, and mobile * Preserving the existing artwork and visual design rather than recreating or redesigning it * Working with an existing custom shopping-cart experience * Connecting/integrating the custom front end with Shopify for e-commerce functionality * Making sure products, cart functionality, checkout, and related commerce functions work properly * Troubleshooting HTML/CSS/JavaScript issues * Final testing and launch preparation Important: I already have a very specific finished visual direction. I need a developer who is comfortable following an existing design closely. I am not looking for someone to replace the site with a generic Shopify theme or make creative changes without approval. I will provide the website files, artwork, detailed requirements, and specific corrections privately to the selected developer. Please include examples of previous work involving custom HTML/CSS/JavaScript websites and Shopify integration. I am open to a fixed-price project with milestones and would like to discuss the scope and cost before beginning.

Hi, I’m looking for an experienced WooCommerce developer with custom workflow/API automation experience to build a premium ecommerce website for a smart-ring brand.
This is more than a standard WooCommerce store. The main requirement is an automated, event-driven order workflow where approximately 95% of normal orders can process without staff intervention. The normal customer journey is: Purchase → Sizing Kit → Size Confirmation → Manufacturing → DHL Express → Delivery The intended workflow is: 1. Customer purchases the smart ring on the website. 2. If they need a sizing kit, the system automatically sends the necessary order/shipping information to our sizing-kit provider. 3. Sizing-kit tracking returns to the website and the customer automatically receives a tracking link/status update. 4. Customer receives the kit and confirms their final ring size through a secure page on our website. 5. Size confirmation automatically authorizes and sends the production order to our manufacturer in China. 6. The manufacturer needs a simple way to accept the order, indicate production has started, and indicate production is complete. These events should automatically update the order without our staff manually changing statuses. 7. Once production is complete, the finished ring is shipped directly from the manufacturer to the U.S. customer using DHL Express. Ideally, DHL shipment creation, labels, tracking, and status updates should be integrated automatically where the available APIs allow it. 8. The customer sees a simple branded order-progress page and automatically receives transactional emails and customer-specific carrier tracking links. 9. Normal orders should run automatically. Human intervention should primarily be required for exceptions such as failed integrations, shipping problems, returns, customer-support requests, etc. The website itself also needs to have a premium, modern consumer-technology design and be highly polished on desktop and mobile. I do not want it to look like a generic WooCommerce or dropshipping template. I prefer using WooCommerce + reliable existing plugins/APIs/webhooks/automation tools + custom development only where necessary, rather than unnecessarily building everything from scratch. Before discussing a quote, could you please tell me: Have you built custom WooCommerce order workflows like this before? Have you worked with REST APIs and webhooks? Have you integrated third-party fulfillment/shipping providers? How would you architect this so normal orders can operate without staff intervention? How would you handle a manufacturer that may not have a full API? What parts would you use existing plugins/services for, and what would require custom code? Can you show me examples of relevant WooCommerce/API automation projects you have completed? I have a much more detailed technical specification that I can send after we determine whether the project fits your experience. Please provide your proposed approach, estimated development timeline, development quote, and any expected recurring software/plugin/API costs separately.

We're an early-stage Silicon Valley startup building simulation tooling for user experience. We're talking to web developers about how QA and user testing actually fit into their workflow today: what you do, what you skip, and why.
This is a paid interview, not a development job. No prep required, no take-home, no code review. We just want an honest picture of how you work. Scope: a 30-minute paid call: - How you currently test what you build, especially user testing - Roughly how much of a project goes to QA vs. building - What happens when a client reports a bug you didn't catch - Whether you've ever offered testing or QA as a paid service, or been asked to What we're looking for, and what to include in your proposal: - 2+ years building web apps for clients - You ship real client projects: solo devs and small-agency devs both welcome - How many clients you're currently managing - A sentence or two on your current stack and typical project size - Your fee for a 30-minute session
