We are running an academic research project and need a developer for a short technical task (likely 3–6 hours total).

1. Who We Are
We are Synrfy, a small Dutch company that builds integration and AI software for the hospitality industry. We connect hotel systems — property management, meetings & events, finance — so hotels don't have to do that manually.

This assignment is a first step. If it clicks, there is a realistic chance of follow-up work: we have multiple active integration projects and we're looking for a developer we can work with structurally. We're not promising anything, but we don't run test assignments for fun either.


2. What This Is About
Hotels report revenue on an accrual basis — revenue is recognised on the day it is consumed, not when it is invoiced. When a hotel hosts a conference through VenueSuite (their Meetings & Events platform), the daily transactions — room hire, F&B, AV equipment — need to end up in the correct account in MEWS (their Property Management System) before the night audit runs.

That sync doesn't happen automatically. Your job is to build the service that makes it happen.

The data flow is:

VenueSuite (staging) → your sync service → MEWS account

→
Revenue must be posted per event per day — not aggregated. A hotel with three events on Tuesday expects three separate account postings in MEWS for Tuesday, not one lump sum.



3. The Assignment
Build a Python service that runs daily and syncs event transactions from VenueSuite into MEWS. The service has three steps:

Step 1 — Fetch daily transactions from VenueSuite
Call the VenueSuite staging API to retrieve all event transactions for a given date.
Each transaction belongs to an event, which is linked to a booking. A booking has a reference number that ties it to a MEWS reservation.
Credentials for the VenueSuite staging environment will be shared with you separately after agreement.
Relevant data per transaction: event_id, booking_reference, date, category (e.g. F&B, AV, Room), description, quantity, unit_price.

Step 2 — Resolve or create the MEWS account
Use the booking_reference to look up the corresponding reservation in MEWS via the Connector API.
Check whether a billing account already exists for that reservation.
If no account exists yet, create one before posting transactions.

Step 3 — Post transactions to MEWS
Map each VenueSuite transaction category to a MEWS service or accounting category. Define this mapping in a config file — not hardcoded in business logic.
Post each transaction as a charge on the resolved MEWS account.
If a category is not in the mapping, use a configurable fallback and log a warning. Never fail silently.
Once a transaction is successfully posted, mark it as such locally. Re-running the sync must never double-post.
If a single post fails, log the error and continue with the remaining transactions — do not abort the run.

Scheduling
The sync must run on a daily schedule, timed to run just before the night audit (configurable time).
Use APScheduler, Celery Beat, or Django management command with cron — your choice. Briefly explain it in the README.
Also expose a POST /sync/run endpoint to trigger the sync manually for a given date (for testing).


4. Technical Requirements

FastAPI or Django REST Framework — your choice. Explain briefly in the README.
SQLite is fine for local state (posted transactions, sync logs).
Use an ORM — no raw SQL.
Category mapping in a config file (YAML or JSON), not in application code.

5. Access & Credentials
VenueSuite staging API: credentials shared separately after we agree. You will receive a base URL, API token, and a property ID to work with.
MEWS demo: use the public demo credentials from the MEWS Connector API documentation. No setup needed.

What happens when a category is unmapped? When MEWS returns a 429? When a VenueSuite call times out? We want to see you thought about it.
Code clarity
Readable structure, sensible naming, logic not living in route handlers. Someone else should be able to read it without asking you to explain it.

I need a developer who is fully comfortable building a brand-new website on Odoo 19 Enterprise Edition. The site will present and sell our IT Services, so the look and feel must project technical reliability while remaining clean and easy to navigate.

You will work directly on Odoo’s website framework—QWeb templates, XML, SCSS and JavaScript—rather than relying on page-builder shortcuts. That means creating a custom theme, tweaking views, and wiring the front end to the native Odoo 19 EE backend so that service catalogues, quotations and customer interactions flow seamlessly.

Although I have not locked in the exact feature mix, the build should be flexible enough to accommodate e-commerce, CMS pages or a customer portal if we decide to enable them later. I have an existing web-based app connected to a physical board game. When a player scans a QR code on a physical card, a virtual card loads on their phone displaying a game action, an AI-generated financial "truth," and an AI-generated "fact" — both powered by the OpenAI API. There are 200 cards, each with a unique prompt.

What's Already Built:

- Physical cards with QR codes (complete)
- Virtual card frontend (complete)
- OpenAI/ChatGPT API integration (partially complete — needs fixes)
- ElevenLabs voice account set up for an AI character named Harriett (complete — backend connection not built)
- Existing Python backend hosted on a VPS

What Needs to Be Completed:

- Review and fix the existing ChatGPT API integration so it generates the correct truth and fact for each of the 200 cards when scanned
- Connect the ElevenLabs API to the backend so Harriett's voice reads the AI-generated truth and fact aloud
- Ensure audio plays reliably on mobile browsers (both iOS and Android) after a QR code is scanned
- Test the full end-to-end flow — scan QR code → card loads → AI generates content → Harriett reads it aloud

- You will be working in an existing codebase, not starting from scratch
- Backend is Python-based and hosted on a VPS (SSH access will be provided)
