Role Overview
We seek a Freelance Graphic Designer with expertise in traditional ink-style art to craft evocative storyboards that guide the visual and emotional flow of our interactive novel. You’ll translate scripts into dynamic, atmospheric 1x1 panels that balance minimalist ink aesthetics with the complexity of interactive narratives. Your work will lay the foundation for animators, UI designers, and programmers to bring this world to life.
Key Responsibilities
Design ink-style storyboards that capture the project’s tone, from serene landscapes to dramatic character moments.
Collaborate with writers to visualize interactive story branches, ensuring art aligns with narrative choices (e.g., "ink bleeds" to signal consequences).
Integrate traditional ink techniques (wash painting, splatter effects, calligraphic linework) into modern sequential art.

Hey! I have a 2D-ish background image that’s designed to look like pixel art. It's a nostalgic sci-fi scene with a cozy spaceship vibe. The image isn’t built from tiles or sprites, just a detailed static artwork that mimics a retro pixel style.

So far, I’ve managed to animate a few simple looping effects on top like steam etc, but I’d love to take it further by animating parts of the actual image. Things like charachter breathing, blinking monitors, twinkling stars, or subtle ambient movement.

The footprint of this will be 26'x26'
- no dormers coming out of the loft area.
- 1 laundry nook/room in the loft.
