More Info:
The client explained the project as "nearly complete" and we had agreed upon a monthly fee for a fixed amount of work hours per month. In reality the project was far from complete.
The client constantly complained and demanded more, refusing to release payment even though I had worked extra just to help push the project forward.
Not only that, the client constantly implied that he wanted even more, that I must not be adept at the work or that I might be cutting corners or working less hours than agreed. Yet he would not agree to a hourly payment system with the Upwork APP.
He ignored all my recommendations and concerns throughout the project, always acting and talking like he knew better.
He also insisted upon SCRUM development, with daily "stand up" meetings, yet he constantly talked for hours on Skype not even understanding what SCRUM or "stand up meeting" is apparently.
The last straw was that he had set up the contract as a single milestone which had items like "continuous support and future updates and changes" - and all this for a fixed fee.
This all led to a dispute which required Upwork mediation. I can not in good conscience recommend this client to anyone. The whole work relationship was very stressful and I always felt extremely underappreciated and even insulted at times.
Worst client I have had the displeasure to work for on Upwork thus far.

- Missing and Irrelevant Data: Many entries were incomplete, and a significant portion of the data was irrelevant, requiring additional effort on our part to parse through.
- Poor Communication: Updates were infrequent and often focused on justifying delays rather than addressing progress or solutions. While we understand that scraping data can take time, the delays and lack of transparency were unacceptable.
- Quality Issues: One glaring example was finding only a single car dealer in an entire U.S. state, which is clearly incorrect given the scope of the task (to gather as many car dealers as possible).
This experience was especially frustrating because we needed the data urgently. Despite giving the freelancer multiple chances and a lot of flexibility, the outcome failed to meet our expectations. Ultimately, we had to abandon the project.

I am looking for an Full Stack Dev (Next.js focus) to migrate an existing React (Vite) Single Page Application to Next.js 14 (App Router) and connect it to a Strapi/PostgreSQL backend.
The Project:
I have an automated content news website. The frontend is already built and styled (Tailwind CSS) deployed on Vercel. My current issue is mobile latency (CSR lag), so I need to move to next.js.
Server-Side Rendering (SSR).
I have a comprehensive 12-page technical brief ready for you, detailing every API endpoint, database schema, and logic requirement. There is no guessing game here.
Core Objectives (Estimated ~30 Hours Work):
1. Migration & Architecture (React to Next.js 14)
Migrate the current Vite repo to Next.js 14 using App Router.
Design Integrity: Maintain the existing UI/Tailwind config 1:1. This is a logic refactor, not a redesign.
Implement SSR to fix mobile load speeds and ISR (Incremental Static Regeneration) with a 1-hour revalidation window to minimise DB costs.
2. Backend Setup (Strapi + Postgres)
Deploy Strapi & PostgreSQL on Railway (or Hostinger).
Create specific Content Types (Articles, Subscribers) as per my documentation.
Implement regex logic to parse incoming AI text blocks into Title/Body fields.
3. Feature Implementation
AdSense Logic: Implement "Smart Containers" that collapse (display: none) if no ad is served to avoid white space.
Hybrid Stats: Refactor the header stats to show a mix of "Base Vanity Numbers" + "Real-Time Data" (via GA4 API & Strapi).
Notification System: Update the frontend notification logic to batch alerts based on publishing tranches.
4. Newsletter Integration
Connect the "Subscribe" component to Brevo for Double Opt-In (DOI).
Set up a webhook to sync verified emails to Google Sheets.
Requirements:
Expertise in Next.js 14 (App Router), SSR, and ISR.
Experience configuring Strapi and PostgreSQL.

This project is well-defined. I already have all of the campaigns written and ready to use — I’m looking for someone who knows how to build, wire, and optimize these journeys correctly inside

Journeys run approximately 90–100 days
Heavy focus on automation logic, sequencing, and event based triggers (not basic drip campaigns). Triggers come from shopify and Quickbooks data which is integrated.
Campaigns & Content
Most campaigns already exist and are written (text/email style content). I have the HTML already where needed. Minimal to no graphic design required. You will primarily be implementing existing campaigns into workflows.
There are a couple campaigns where I will also want help to dynamically pull products from Shopify and display in email body. I need to ensure you have the skills to do this.

After a number of follow-ups and promises she finally delivered a subpar render that was not in accordance to the provided blueprints. We gave her numerous chances and she kept promising that she will deliver and the renders provided are just samples. After buying some more time from our clients, she again miss her deadlines and health files hostage demanding release of milestones without delivering the work. Being pressed for time We ended up providing payment to receive at least some of the files but again the files lacked quality design skills and more delays.
In some of our calls hair inbox was blowing up with messages from various clients demanding their work which clearly could not adhere to. It is clear that this contractor promises the world gets people hooked and demands payment without delivering results.
We ended up going back to our original designers and got the entire project done within 30 hours as opposed to 2 and 1/2 weeks.
