About the Project

The project involves developing a mobile application and website for readers, along with a web-based administrative portal that enables newspaper and magazine publishers to upload and distribute their publications.

The mobile application’s most important and distinctive capability will be the Smart Scroll feature. Smart Scroll will allow readers to browse an entire newspaper seamlessly, without interruptions or the need to navigate to separate pages.

The Smart Scroll interface will initially display headlines stacked and organized by section. As a reader scrolls through the headlines, pausing at any point will open a small slit that reveals additional article details, such as the author’s name, publication date, headline summary, images, videos, GIFs, and a preview of the article text.

Publishers will also have the option to create visual-first content that primarily displays media assets—such as images, videos, GIFs, and charts—accompanied by brief text descriptions.

A mobile app for readers

A web-based admin portal for newspaper and magazine publishers to upload content

Scope of Work (7–8 Mobile Screens):

We’re hiring a startup designer - someone who can move fast, wear multiple hats, and take real ownership of outcomes.

I’m developing a new nutrition and health-coaching mobile app called Ameligora and am looking for an experienced senior product designer to turn an already well-developed product concept into a polished, high-fidelity interactive mobile prototype.

The product architecture is considerably further developed than a typical early-stage idea. Detailed user journeys, screen architecture, coaching behaviour and a comprehensive prototype build specification already exist.

I’m not looking for someone to invent the product from scratch. I need someone who can understand sophisticated product logic, challenge genuine UX problems where appropriate, and translate that logic into an exceptionally simple and compelling mobile experience.

One of the central design challenges is that Ameligora is intended to go beyond conventional food logging and nutrition dashboards. Immediate deliverable

The immediate objective is a high-fidelity clickable prototype for investor presentation and user testing.

We are looking for someone who can build this properly from the beginning and potentially continue working with us as the website and business grow.

We built a web app for building rosters for tabletop wargames, players pick a faction, add units, and watch the point total update as they go. It works, but the interface was thrown together during development and never really designed, so we're looking for a full stack developer who can also own the UI/UX side, starting with an audit of the UX & UI across the whole tool.

The core of the work is a full user experience design pass: go through the roster builder screen by screen, note where new users get stuck picking units or reading point costs, and flag anything that breaks on smaller phone screens, since a good number of players use it at the table. From there we need wireframing and a round of UI/UX prototyping for a cleaner unit picker and a print-friendly export view, something we can test before touching code. Real user interface design and mobile UI design experience matters here. Template know-how doesn't cut it.
