The people I worked with were Kenna Williams, Nuria Rodriguez, and Kirk Lee. They seemed to be very happy with my work and had me create brochures, business cards, flyers, notepad designs, mousepad calendars, customer scripts and intake forms, and custom designed invitations to their baseball tailgate. Some of the existing files they sent were chaotic, but I managed to organize design and deliver successfully what they needed.
Trendi Marketing kept sending me work because it seemed they had too much to do and I thought it was a good fit so I worked overtime for them all through the holidays after hours and all of the work was rush.
After weeks of waiting for the money to post from working for them all of those hours, Kirk Lee paused the contact resulting that I would not be paid over 500 dollars of work that I had done over the holidays. Then he started the contract again like nothing happened. Then UpWork told me the contract is automatically paused when the funds are not available to pay the freelancer. Then almost every month now I have gotten notices that the contract is paused again until contract ended yesterday. I would not recommend going through what I have gone through with this client on anyone. It was the first time I realized that payment is not guaranteed.

The work initially agreed upon was 30 hours, but the recorded time was 18-19. So I didn't even use up 30 hours in the first week, so I didn't record time on assessing their code, setting my environment up, etc. I fixed the code and did the first task faster than the agreed time.
The client claims that there is a communication issue, but the reality is that his expectations are unreasonable. At the beginning of the task, it was agreed that the deadline for the first task was in 1 week, yet he expects that you'll have something done in 1 to 2 days for him to avoid wasting money; that is understandable, but in reality, every task is unique, you need at least 1-2 days before you can provide some results.
Also, people are not technical enough to understand what is going on. His "lead" developer pretty much copied and pasted code from somewhere, meaning I had to start working from scratch.
The client and the other person he works with, the "lead developer," asked to upload the results of the model to S3 without providing the information on which bucket I should upload it to; a few days later, another contractor he hired from another part of the world provided the information so I was able to upload the model results, but the client and his team make it seems like there is something wrong with me all the time, trying to prove a point that there is a communication issue and other issues to ask for refund probably.
I was hired as a freelancer, not a full-time employee, on an hour-to-hour basis. We agreed to work on a task with a one-week deadline, and I delivered that in less than 30 hours and less than 7 days, which was the original agreement. Yet the client expects me to be responsive at 4 a.m., 10 p.m., or 7 p.m.- pretty much when convenient. This is highly unreasonable.
Another part of this was that the total time recorded for training and improving the code, which was around 30 hours, increased the code's accuracy from 0% to 74%.
The client expects that accuracy in 20-30 hours should be 90-100%, which is unrealistic since the data is not clean. Anyone who has done ML work knows it requires more time to get good results, especially if the data is not clean.
Less than 30 hours of work, from 0 to 74%, is reasonable, and this is the first try.
Then suddenly, when I was trying to make a point that I didn't know which bucket I should upload it to because his contractors are working from different sides of the world, he just ended the contract, so I won't have access to the Slack messages.
It was my first bad client on Upwork, and I was highly disappointed. I worked hard and late, even with a flu, to keep up with this client.

We will assign a paid trial task ($50–$80) to assess quality and turnaround time.
The trial task will involve creating a simple landing page section or layout based on our brand and product.
Must be completed within 24 hours.

Looking for freelancer to go through a list of websites and help categorize them based on KEYWORDS present on website. Want to put websites into one of four categories. Can show list and explain more for the right candidate. Have several lists like this. Can use AI to assist but must visit each website to ensure accuracy. Can adjust price of project. $35 is estimate of each list.
