We’re building a product that uses OpenAI image generation to create visual content that users can then edit as native components on a canvas. The key challenge — and what this role is primarily focused on — is not just generating images, but structuring the output in a way that allows post-generation editing of individual elements. We need someone who can integrate OpenAI for image generation and design a system where generated content can be transformed into editable components (including text and visual elements) that can be moved, resized, duplicated, reordered, and removed within an editor. Text should be editable at the content level (not typography), and all components should behave like native design elements rather than flattened images. From a feature standpoint, components should support basic transformations such as positioning, resizing, rotation, alignment, grouping, layering, opacity adjustments, and undo/redo. Progress so far: We are not starting from scratch. Most of the UI is already built, a credit/usage system is implemented, and OpenAI is already integrated into the product. The core application framework is in place. What we’re looking for now is someone who can take this existing foundation and focus on the AI-to-editable-components pipeline and the canvas editing behavior needed to support it. This role is ideal for someone with experience in AI-powered creative tools, visual editors, or design-focused web applications who can work within an existing codebase and push the product to the next stage. Pressing the button must trigger a vanilla-JS confirm dialog (“Are you sure?”). If the user accepts, the script should send a POST request—still with plain, framework-free JavaScript—directly to https://mysite.com, passing only two fields: 1. server hostname (as seen by DirectAdmin) 2. the user’s currently selected domain name After the request returns, whatever response comes back from mysite.com should be written straight into the same HTML area on that page so the user sees the result immediately. I am fine with the plugin being coded purely with HTML and vanilla JavaScript for the front-end bits; just wrap it in whatever minimal PHP is necessary for DirectAdmin’s plugin framework so it loads cleanly under every skin.
