# Wix Developer Needed — Private Membership & Investor Portal
## Project Overview We are seeking an experienced **Wix / Wix Studio developer with strong Wix CMS, Members Area, permissions, database architecture, automations, and Velo experience** to build a private membership portal for **The Consortium**, a professional investment network. The Consortium is a private investor network connecting family offices, institutional allocators, investment managers, and industry leaders through curated events and a growing member platform. We have hosted approximately 1,000 attendees, including roughly 450 family offices, allocators, and investors. We currently have a public website and want to build a clean, sophisticated **members-only portal** providing different levels of access to Members, Event Attendees, and approved Investors. This is **not a social-media or community platform**. We do not need discussion boards, feeds, gamification, courses, or similar functionality. The desired experience is closer to a **private banking or institutional investor portal**: simple, elegant, intuitive, and highly permissioned. --- # 1. CORE USER TYPES & PERMISSIONS The architecture must support three principal user categories: ### Full Member Full Members receive access to: * All past events * All event materials * Full attendee/member directory * General resources * Upcoming events * Complimentary event registration * Investment opportunities only when separately permissioned ### Attendee Attendees receive more limited access: * Upcoming events * Registration for upcoming events * Past events they personally attended * Materials from those events * Attendee directories for those specific events * Investment opportunities only when separately permissioned Attendees **cannot access events they did not attend** and do not receive access to the complete Consortium directory. ### Investor / Investment Access Investment permissions must operate independently from Member or Attendee status. An individual can therefore be: * Member only * Attendee only * Member + Investment Access * Attendee + Investment Access * Investor without broader Member access Investment access must also be **opportunity-specific**. Someone authorized for Investment A must not automatically receive access to Investment B. --- # 2. LOGIN & REGISTRATION We want a very simple login experience. From the public Home page, the user clicks: **Login / Register** Our strong preference is **passwordless email authentication**: 1. User enters email address. 2. User receives an email verification/code. 3. User enters the code. 4. Wix identifies the user based on email. 5. User is directed to the Portal Landing Page. 6. The portal determines what that person can access based on their database record and permissions. Existing Members, Attendees and Investors will already be identified in our database by email address. ### New Registrations A new person should be permitted to register, but registration should **not automatically grant private access**. New registrations should enter a pending status and require administrator approval before receiving Member, Attendee or Investment permissions. If Wix has limitations regarding the exact passwordless/code authentication workflow described above, please identify them in your proposal and recommend the best native or third-party solution. --- # 3. PORTAL LANDING PAGE All authenticated users should arrive at the same **Portal Landing Page**. The Landing Page will function as the primary portal dashboard. It should display major sections such as: * Upcoming Events * Past Events * Attendee Directory * Resources * Investment Opportunities * Profile / Account What the user can actually access will depend upon permissions. For example: **Full Member** Can access all past events and the full directory. **Attendee** Can see the event interface but can open only events he or she attended. **Approved Investor** Can access only specifically authorized investment opportunities. We are open to whether unauthorized items should be hidden, disabled/locked, or otherwise visually identified. The objective is a clean and intuitive user experience. --- # 4. EVENTS Events are a central component of the portal. ## Upcoming Events The Landing Page should prominently display upcoming events. Each upcoming event may include: * Event name * Date * Location * Venue * Description * Speakers * Agenda * Registration button ### Registration & Payment Full Members should be able to register for Consortium events **without payment**. Attendees/non-members should be able to register and **pay the applicable event fee**. We would like this handled as seamlessly as possible within Wix. ## Past Events Past events should be driven by the Wix CMS rather than manually creating individual static pages. Each event record may contain: * Event name * Date * Location * Venue * Description * Speakers * Agenda * Presentations * Supporting documents * Event notes * Photographs * Event-specific attendee directory We would ideally like the event detail experience to appear within or from the primary portal interface rather than forcing the user through unnecessary navigation. We are open to the developer recommending the cleanest Wix UX for this. --- # 5. EVENT-LEVEL PERMISSIONS This is one of the **most important technical requirements of the project**. An Attendee should only be able to access past events that person actually attended. For example: **John** Attended Event A. John can access: * Event A John cannot access: * Event B * Event C **Mary** Attended Events B and C. Mary can access: * Event B * Event C Mary cannot access: * Event A **Full Member** Can access: * Event A * Event B * Event C * All future and historical events We specifically **do not want to create a separate Wix Member Role for every event**. We expect the developer to implement a scalable CMS/database architecture, potentially using: ### Members User and membership information. ### Events Individual Consortium events. ### Event Attendance A relational collection linking Members/Attendees with the events they attended. For example: | Member | Event | | ---------- | ------- | | John Smith | Event A | | Mary Jones | Event B | | Mary Jones | Event C | The system should use this relationship to determine what event content the logged-in user can access. Full Members should bypass the individual attendance restriction. We are open to a superior architecture if recommended by the developer. --- # 6. ATTENDEE DIRECTORY We need a professional, searchable attendee directory. Potential fields include: * Name * Organization * Title * Organization Type * Location * Business summary * Website * Sector * Attendee Type ### Directory Permissions **Full Members:** access the complete directory. **Attendees:** access only the attendee directory associated with events they attended. This information should be CMS/database-driven and easy for administrators to maintain. --- # 7. ABOUT The portal/site should include an About section containing: * About the Consortium * Past Speakers * Founder profiles These pages can be accessible to all users and do not require sophisticated permissions. --- # 8. PRIVATE INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES The Consortium is beginning to provide selected investors with access to private investment opportunities. We want the architecture to accommodate this from the beginning. There should be an **Investment Opportunities** area. However, investment access must be separately permissioned. Example: John → Investment A Mary → Investment B Bill → Investment A + Investment B John cannot access Investment B. Mary cannot access Investment A. A person without Investment Access should not be able to access confidential investment information. --- # 9. INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITY PAGES Each investment opportunity may eventually contain: * Overview * Investment thesis * Teaser * Management information * Presentation * Investment memorandum * Financial information * Updates * Documents * NDA link/status * Data room link * Scheduling link * Subscription documents We do **not** need every investment workflow automated during Phase I. The priority is establishing the correct architecture and permissions framework so additional opportunities can easily be added later. --- # 10. INVESTMENT PERMISSIONS ARCHITECTURE We anticipate something similar to: ### Investment Opportunities Database of individual opportunities. ### Investment Access Relational database linking individual users to authorized opportunities. For example: | User | Opportunity | | ---------- | ------------ | | John Smith | Investment A | | Bill Jones | Investment A | | Bill Jones | Investment B | The logged-in user should only be able to access opportunities associated with that user's account. Routine permission changes must be manageable by an administrator without changing Velo code. --- # 11. ADMINISTRATION This is critical. Once the portal is built, a **nontechnical administrator** must be able to perform routine operations. These include: * Add/import users * Approve new users * Change Member/Attendee status * Add events * Upload event materials * Associate attendees with events * Add investment opportunities * Grant investment access * Remove investment access * Update directory information * Update content Routine administration should **not require a developer or Velo changes**. --- # 12. DESIGN The design should be: * Professional * Institutional * Minimal * Clean * Sophisticated * Intuitive * Desktop and mobile responsive Our audience includes family offices, institutional investors, private-equity executives, asset managers, CEOs, and other senior investment professionals. We are **not looking for a social/community-platform aesthetic**. Think: **Private banking + private equity + institutional investor portal.** We will provide branding, logos, existing website references, event information, and content. --- # 13. TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED The developer should have demonstrated experience with: * Wix Studio * Wix Members Area * Wix CMS * Dynamic pages * Wix member roles and permissions * CMS collection permissions * Wix Automations * Wix Events * Wix payments * Wix Velo * Relational/reference fields * Filtering CMS content based on logged-in users * Secure handling of restricted content * Responsive Wix design **Velo and custom permissions experience are particularly important.** We are not looking for someone whose Wix experience consists primarily of building standard brochure websites. --- # 14. PHASE I DELIVERABLE Our immediate priority is **architecture and functionality before content population and extensive design work**. Phase I should establish: 1. Login/authentication 2. Registration and administrator approval 3. Member categories 4. Portal Landing Page 5. Core navigation 6. Member/user database architecture 7. Events database 8. Event Attendance relationships 9. Event-level permissions 10. Attendee Directory 11. Directory-level permissions 12. Upcoming-event registration 13. Member vs. Attendee event pricing 14. Investment Opportunities database 15. Investment Access relationships 16. Opportunity-level permissions 17. Basic dynamic event pages/views 18. Basic dynamic investment pages/views 19. Administrator workflow 20. Testing Once the architecture is working correctly, we will proceed to content population and final design. --- # 15. FIRST MILESTONE — PERMISSIONS PROOF OF CONCEPT **We do not intend to begin with the entire build.** The first milestone will be a **Portal Architecture & Permissions Proof of Concept**. Before proceeding to full development, the developer must demonstrate several sample users: ### User 1 — Full Member Can access all events and the complete directory. ### User 2 — Event A Attendee Can access Event A and its attendee directory/materials, but cannot access Events B or C. ### User 3 — Events B & C Attendee Can access Events B and C but cannot access Event A. ### User 4 — Investment User Can access Investment A but cannot access Investment B. ### User 5 — Full Member + Investment Access Can access all standard Member content plus the specific investment opportunity assigned to that user. We will proceed with the full project once this architecture and permissions model has been successfully demonstrated. --- # APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS Please begin your response with: **“I have built custom permission-based Wix member portals.”** Then briefly answer the following: 1. Provide examples of relevant Wix membership portals you have built. 2. Describe your Wix CMS and Velo experience. 3. Explain how you would architect our Event Attendance permissions. 4. Explain how you would architect our Investment Opportunity permissions. 5. Explain how you would implement passwordless/email-code authentication. 6. Explain how you would handle free event registration for Members versus paid registration for Attendees. 7. Identify any requested functionality that Wix cannot handle cleanly or securely. 8. Estimate the hours required for the initial Permissions Proof of Concept. 9. Estimate the hours and timeline for the complete Phase I build. **Please do not send a generic Wix/web-development proposal.** We are specifically looking for a developer with **Wix CMS + Velo + membership permissions experience** who can establish the correct scalable architecture before focusing on design.

We are an established interior design firm looking for an experienced web designer/developer to redesign our existing website.
We are looking for someone to work within a website template and use our current website content and imagery to create a refreshed, polished, visually compelling site. We are not looking for new copy, branding, or content creation. The project will include customizing the selected template, laying out and migrating our existing content, ensuring the site is responsive across desktop and mobile, and preparing the completed site for launch. Because our website is highly visual, we are especially interested in candidates with a strong design portfolio and experience with interior design, architecture, luxury, hospitality, or other visually driven brands. Our aesthetic is clean, elegant, and timeless, with sophisticated neutrals, strong imagery, and crisp, classic typography. (For example, in researching other sites, we have been drawn to the refined yet functional/livable look of Montecito-based design firms, but we're based in Houston.) Please include 2–3 relevant live website examples, your role on each project, your estimated timeline, and your proposed fixed project fee. Client's questions:

I’m looking for help customizing the Endless Storage website, which is currently built on Webflow. I want to improve the design, layout, SEO, and rental flow so the site looks more professional and helps more visitors rent online.
I need help with Webflow page design, CMS/location pages, mobile layout, SEO settings, custom code embeds, schema markup, and promotional banners or popups. Main items I want added or improved and able to edit in the future: A promotional banner or popup for offers like “50% off your second month” or “Rent online today.” It should be easy to update in Webflow. A storage unit size section with size tabs or cards showing unit size, square footage, what fits, starting price, image/icon, Rent Now button, and Unit Details button. Stronger location pages for Corpus Christi and Punta Gorda with local SEO wording, areas served, storage types, access hours, customer service hours, facility features, FAQs, map, directions, and rent online buttons. Clean feature cards for drive-up storage, online rentals, month-to-month leases, cameras, lighting, gated access at Corpus Christi, select units with power at Punta Gorda, limited parking at Punta Gorda, and small business support. Facility details must stay separate. Corpus Christi is gated and has no parking or power units. Punta Gorda is not gated, has limited parking, and some units have electricity. SEO improvements including SEO titles, meta descriptions, FAQ schema, local business schema, image alt text, headings, internal links, and keywords. Mobile improvements with sticky call/text/rent buttons, fast load speed, easy unit browsing, and a promo banner that does not block the screen. Systeme.io Expert Needed to Complete & Professionally Design Digital Product Funnel
Applied

$150

|
I am looking for an experienced Systeme.io funnel specialist to complete the technical setup and professional design of a digital-product funnel that I have already started building.
My products, prices, funnel structure and copy are already complete. I am not looking for funnel strategy, product creation or copywriting. My main sales page is already finished and hosted separately on Netlify. It does not need to be redesigned. Funnel Structure The funnel has three products: Main Product: The Home Alone Method™ — $47 Customers visit my existing Netlify sales page and click through to the Systeme.io checkout to purchase The Home Alone Method™ for $47. Order Bump: The Home Alone Companion™ — $17 On the checkout page, customers can optionally add The Home Alone Companion™ for an additional $17 before completing payment. The Companion is optional. Customers must be able to purchase the main product without purchasing the Companion. Post-Purchase Upsell: The Crate Confidence Protocol™ — $37 After completing their initial payment, customers are shown a separate upsell page offering The Crate Confidence Protocol™ for $37. They can either accept or decline this offer. After accepting or declining the upsell, they continue to the Thank You/Access page. Customers should automatically receive the appropriate access email(s) for only the products they purchased. What I Have Already Set Up I am not starting with an empty Systeme.io account. I have already: Upgraded to the Systeme.io Startup plan Created the funnel and Order Form Added The Home Alone Method™ as the $47 main product Added The Home Alone Companion™ as the $17 order bump Connected Stripe and PayPal Created purchase tags for the main product and Companion Attached the main-product purchase tag Created a basic Thank You page Added an access button to the Thank You page Started designing the checkout and order bump myself The Companion purchase tag has been created but still needs to be correctly configured with the order bump. The current pages are basic and I am not happy with their visual design. I stopped trying to perfect the design myself because I would prefer an experienced funnel designer to do this professionally. Please review and build on what I have already done rather than automatically rebuilding everything from scratch. If something has been configured incorrectly, please explain the issue and correct it. What I Need You to Do I need the freelancer to: Complete the $17 Companion order-bump setup Create and configure the $37 Crate Confidence Protocol™ post-purchase upsell Configure the Thank You/Access journey Set up the necessary tags, automations and product-access emails Check the Stripe and PayPal payment setup Connect my existing Netlify sales-page purchase buttons to the finished Systeme.io checkout Configure and test the relevant Meta Pixel/events Professionally design the Systeme.io checkout/order bump, upsell and Thank You pages Ensure everything works and displays properly on desktop and mobile Assist with testing the complete customer journey before handover My branding is navy blue, white and gold. I will provide my existing sales page as the visual reference, together with the final copy and product mockups. The current order bump in particular needs professional redesign. It is functional/basic but does not currently look like the professional checkout order bumps I have seen in other funnels. Important Companion App Integration The $17 Home Alone Companion™ is an external web application with purchase-based access. I need the Systeme.io purchase process to communicate correctly with the Companion so that: Customers who purchase the Companion are granted access Customers who purchase only the $47 main product are not granted Companion access Companion access can be revoked appropriately following a qualifying refund This will require Systeme.io webhook configuration and testing of the relevant purchase/refund events. The Companion previously worked with another checkout platform, so an access-control system already exists. I need this adapted appropriately for Systeme.io. If changes to the Companion application's existing integration are required, please explain what needs to be changed before making those changes. Product Access Emails There are three products and customers should receive access information only for what they purchased: The Home Alone Method™ purchase: Home Alone Method™ access email. The Home Alone Companion™ purchase: Companion access email. The Crate Confidence Protocol™ purchase: Crate Confidence Protocol™ access email. I will provide the final email copy. Professional Funnel Design This is not only a technical setup. I also want the customer-facing Systeme.io pages professionally designed. The design work includes: Checkout / Order Form $17 Companion order bump $37 Crate Confidence Protocol™ upsell page Thank You / Access page Desktop and mobile versions The design should follow the existing navy blue, white and gold branding of my main sales page. The $17 Companion is an impulse add-on at checkout, so I want the order bump to be concise, attractive and easy to understand quickly, rather than looking like a miniature sales page. I will provide the final copy and product graphics/mockups. Examples of Previous Work Required This is important. Please do not send me only a generic web-design portfolio. I specifically want to see examples of work you have personally completed showing: A checkout/order form with an order bump A post-purchase upsell page A Thank You/delivery page Ideally, I would like to see these as part of the same funnel. Screenshots, screen recordings or live examples are acceptable. Please explain what you personally did on each project, including whether you handled the technical setup as well as the visual design. I need someone who can do more than simply make the pages look attractive. Product Privacy I will not provide access to the contents of my paid products or their private customer-access URLs unless this is genuinely required for a technical reason. Please use clearly labelled placeholder access URLs during setup. I can insert the real URLs myself afterwards, or you can show me exactly where I need to enter them. If you believe you genuinely need access to a private product URL for a particular technical requirement, please explain why before requesting it. Please Do Not Change Without discussing it with me first, please do not change my: Product names or prices Funnel structure Sales, order-bump or upsell copy Existing Netlify sales page Product content Existing Companion functionality If you identify a genuine technical, usability or conversion issue, I am happy to consider recommendations, but please discuss them with me before implementing changes. Testing & Handover Before handover, I want the freelancer to verify that the funnel has been configured correctly and guide me through the required test transactions. I will make any necessary test purchases myself using my own payment details. The freelancer is not expected to purchase my products or spend their own money for testing. Together, we should verify that: The $47 main product can be purchased correctly The $17 Companion is added and charged correctly when selected Customers who do not select the Companion are not charged for it The $37 post-purchase upsell works when accepted Declining the $37 upsell results in no additional charge The correct tags and automations are triggered The correct access emails are sent according to what was purchased The Companion webhook correctly distinguishes a Companion purchaser from a main-product-only purchaser Refund behaviour is working correctly, including Companion access revocation where appropriate Meta Pixel/events are firing correctly without duplicate purchase tracking The funnel works correctly on desktop and mobile I will insert my private product-access URLs myself once the relevant setup is complete. At the end of the project, I would also like a short screen-recorded walkthrough showing me the important parts of the finished Systeme.io setup and where I can make basic changes myself. When Applying Please answer the following: How much experience do you have specifically with Systeme.io? Please show examples of an order bump, upsell page and Thank You page that you personally designed and/or built. Have you configured Systeme.io tags, automations, Stripe/PayPal and webhooks? Have you previously connected a checkout to an external application or purchase-based access system? Are you comfortable working with placeholder product-access URLs rather than requiring access to my paid product content? Will you provide a short screen-recorded handover when the project is complete? Please start your proposal with: HOME ALONE FUNNEL so I know you have read the complete job description.

Shopify / PageFly Designer Needed for Premium, High-Converting Landing Page
I’m looking for an experienced Shopify / PageFly designer to create a premium, long-form landing page for a new offering within my beauty industry brand, International Lash Masters (ILM). About the project We are launching Recognised by ILM, an industry recognition program for lash and brow professionals, educators and businesses. I need a dedicated landing page that explains the offering, builds credibility and authority, and ultimately directs visitors to purchase/apply. The purchase and application journey is already built, so you will not need to create this functionality. The landing page will link through to the relevant Shopify product pages. What I'm looking for This is not a basic Shopify product page. I want a premium, editorial-style, conversion-focused sales page with: * Strong visual hierarchy * Large, modern typography * Full-width and alternating sections * Beautiful use of imagery and whitespace * Clear CTA placement throughout * Pricing/comparison sections * Process/how-it-works sections * FAQs * Mobile optimisation * Subtle movement/interactive elements where appropriate * A polished, custom-designed feel rather than a generic PageFly template A strong design reference is Boss Brows – The Vault. I like the overall flow, typography, visual hierarchy and way the page takes the customer through the offer. The ILM page will have its own branding and should not copy this page, but I am looking for a similar quality and style of long-form landing page design. I will provide * Final written copy * Brand guidelines/colours/fonts * Logos and recognition seal * Images/assets * Product and application links * PDF explaining the offering * Reference websites/pages * Clear direction on the required sections Ideal freelancer You should have experience with Shopify and PageFly and, importantly, understand conversion-focused landing page design rather than simply building pages from templates. Please send me 2–3 examples of long-form sales or landing pages you have personally designed, ideally for premium, education, membership or service-based brands. Please also confirm: 1. Your experience with Shopify + PageFly 2. Your estimated turnaround time 3. Whether you design for desktop and mobile 4. Whether revisions are included 5. Your fixed price for the project I’m looking for someone with a strong design eye who can take my existing copy and assets and turn them into a polished, high-end page that feels credible and established.

I’m looking for an experienced Wix/Wix Studio Designer & Builder to take an existing website concept that is already about 85% defined and turn it into a polished, responsive, live website.
This is not a full redesign. The visual direction, brand colours, typography, layout, and references are already established. The current design exists primarily as images/references, and I need someone who can accurately translate that direction into a professional, editable Wix Studio website. What You’ll Do * Build the website directly in Wix Studio * Closely follow the supplied design direction and references * Create a polished, custom-looking website rather than relying on templates * Ensure the website is fully responsive across desktop, tablet, and mobile * Work with supplied SVG/vector assets * Pay close attention to spacing, typography, alignment, hierarchy, and visual consistency * Refine the design where necessary to achieve a professional final result * Make sure the site is clean, functional, and ready for launch There are also a few hand-drawn icons and map elements that need to be converted into proper vector assets. I may hire a separate illustrator for this, so illustration skills are not required. However, if you already work with a reliable vector illustrator, that would be a plus. Project Scope The homepage is the immediate priority. If the homepage is completed successfully and the collaboration works well, I’d like to continue with the remaining pages of the website. What I’m Looking For You should have: * Strong experience with Wix Studio * A strong eye for modern web design and visual details * Experience translating designs/references into accurate websites * Excellent responsive design skills * Strong understanding of typography, spacing, layout, and visual hierarchy * Experience working with SVG/vector assets * The ability to work independently and meet deadlines * Good communication and attention to detail Important This project is not a good fit if your approach is primarily selecting a Wix template and modifying it. I’m looking for someone who can build a custom, polished experience from the supplied design direction. To Apply Please send: 1. 2–3 Wix/Wix Studio websites you personally designed and built 2. A brief explanation of your role in each project 3. Your estimated timeline for completing the homepage 4. Your hourly rate or estimated project cost Please only share projects that you personally worked on, preferably websites that demonstrate strong custom design rather than template-based work. Looking to start immediately. If you have strong Wix Studio skills and enjoy turning established creative direction into polished websites, I’d love to hear from you.

WordPress: Redesign, Refocus, Enhancement, and Implementation for an Established Italy Travel Site
We're looking to select who we'll work with within about two weeks of posting this — please get your proposal in as soon as possible but no later than August 25, 2026. We have an established brand — Our Big Italian Adventure— helping travelers 50+ have unforgettable trips to Italy and feel confident and relaxed doing it. We provide guidance from the planning through the on-the-ground experience. Right now, our YouTube channel is the main vehicle for that, and our website only represents one piece of the brand. This project's primary goal is to bring the site in line with the channel, so it works as a real companion and support to it — not a separate, older identity competing for attention. Everything else the site does — resources, digital products, partner-facing credibility — supports that same purpose. It's a refocus, reorganization, and enhancement of an existing, content-heavy WordPress site with real search traffic and real business goals behind it, not a brand-new brochure build. (website: ourbigitalianadventure.com; YouTube: youtube.com/@ourbigitalianadventure) About the channel and audience The channel currently has 56,400 subscribers and roughly 5.5 million lifetime views, with growth recently running around 350,000 views a month. Our audience skews notably older — viewers 55-64 and 65+ together account for well over half of our views — and is geographically North America-heavy (roughly half U.S., with Italy, Canada, the UK, and Australia making up most of the rest). This matters directly for the design: this is a mature, discerning audience, not a 20-something demographic. The site shouldn't chase a glitzy or trend-driven aesthetic — but it shouldn't feel stodgy or ponderous either. The feel we're after is the same thing people tell us in our own video comments: approachable, credible, likable. That's the bar for the redesign's tone as well as its function. Where the site is today The site began years ago as a blog chronicling our (Ed and Anne's) experience buying land and building a house in Le Marche, Italy. That archive is still important — it's a major reason the site ranks well in search today — and needs to be preserved. But the site now needs to become the home base for a fast-growing brand: the YouTube videos, Italy travel resources, digital products, email signups, and a future (not-yet-built) membership offering. The current site includes approximately: • 278 posts • 30 pages • Older house-building/moving-to-Italy content • Newer Italy travel/video/product content • Important existing URLs connected to emails, QR codes, products, and search traffic — search is currently our dominant traffic source, ahead of YouTube/social Some technical context worth knowing before you scope this: the site was self-built about 10 years ago on a child theme of "Accelerate" (ThemeGrill), with a substantial amount of hand-written custom CSS — not a page-builder site (no Divi/Elementor). Much of the content was created in the Classic Editor or raw HTML. We're leaning toward a modern page builder or the WordPress block editor rather than more hand-coded work, though we're open to your recommendation. Candidates should know going in that this is more "amateur hand-coded custom layout" than "swap out a page builder." A few known issues to be aware of: • Contact form submissions frequently land in our spam/junk folder — needs diagnosis and a fix. • We use Kit for email capture and Payhip for digital product checkout, but we're not attached to either — they were a fast way to get started, not a considered long-term choice. We're currently collecting emails (mostly from free lead magnets like our Trip Planning Guide) but doing nothing with them afterward — no follow-up sequence exists. Recommendations welcome. • A handful of affiliate integrations (GetYourGuide, Viator, Airalo, NordVPN, and some legacy links that may need auditing) need to carry over cleanly. No tracking pixels or complex integrations beyond these. • We have some free analytics plugins installed, but haven't reviewed what they're reporting and aren't sure they're giving us anything useful — getting real, actionable analytics is one of the goals of this redesign (see Key goals below). Two audiences this redesign has to serve 1. Viewers and travel planners. People coming from search or YouTube looking for real, practical Italy travel help. 2. Potential business partners — tourist boards, hotels, and travel product/service brands evaluating us as a partner. The overall feeling we want this audience to come away with is that we're a serious, credible business that can reach an audience and actually influence them to take action — not just a hobby blog — and that we're genuinely, deeply connected to Italy. This is also an audience with the time and means to travel deeply — longer stays, higher spend, not fast-hit checklist tourism — which is part of what makes us valuable to the partners we want to reach. We are currently building a media kit (audience stats, demographics) that may live on the site, but that's a supporting asset — the site's overall quality and credibility is what needs to carry this, not one stats page. We're also building out a presence on Instagram and Facebook (our audience skews 50+, so Facebook matters more than it might for a younger brand) — the site should be designed to fit into that wider multi-channel presence, not read as YouTube-plus-blog only. Two-way traffic flow This site needs to work as a bridge in both directions. Viewers arriving from a video (via the QR-code resource pages, below) should find a clear path to more content and, eventually, our products and future membership offering — not just the one link they came for. Viewers arriving from search (today, via the legacy house-building content; potentially, in the future, via more written content that mirrors our videos) should find a clear path toward the channel and our current offerings. Both directions matter, and right now the site does neither well. The legacy content problem The house-building archive is currently about 95% of the site's structural/visual focus — but that's simply because that's what most of the content is, and it tells a complete story on its own. We're not trying to shrink or remove it. What we want is for the other side — current travel content — to grow so the site's overall framing and emphasis shifts, without cutting anything from the archive itself. One wrinkle worth flagging: within that older content, some posts (about food in Le Marche, local wineries, etc.) are probably closer in spirit to what we do now than to the house-building story itself and could potentially be pulled forward into the current travel-content structure — but that needs an actual audit of what's there, which hasn't been done yet. This assessment will be part of scoping, not something we can specify precisely today. The URLs and SEO value of the archive need to be preserved regardless of how it's restructured — it's a real source of search traffic. The harder problem: we need a real mechanism for converting that incoming search traffic toward our current travel/YouTube content — we don't have a fixed idea of what that should look like and want your proposal to address it. The reverse direction (video driving people to the house content) isn't a priority. Video resource pages We want a repeatable system for YouTube video resource pages — but the real use case matters here: roughly half our audience watches on TV/connected devices, where they can't easily reach the video description. So each video includes a QR code that lands on a website page carrying the same links and content as the description. Design for that specific use case (a quick phone scan mid-video, often to grab a link) — fast mobile load, tap-friendly links — not a generic blog post. We may eventually rewrite these into fuller blog-style content, but that's our own content-authoring effort, not something to scope into your part of this project. What we need from you is a clean, repeatable template/system we can populate easily ourselves. Key goals • Read as a credible, professional presence to potential brand/tourism partners • Shift the site's overall framing and emphasis toward current travel content, without cutting the legacy archive • Create a better home for free Italy travel resources • Preserve existing content and URLs wherever possible, given search is our dominant traffic source • Build the QR-code-oriented video resource page system, as part of the broader two-way traffic flow between legacy/search content and current travel/video content • Support digital products (one is currently live: an Italy Trip Planning Guide via Payhip; the second, a Dining Guide, will be out shortly) and future offerings • Improve email capture and lay the groundwork for following up with subscribers, not just collecting addresses — not tied to keeping Kit/Payhip specifically • Leave a clean architectural hook for a future membership offering — we're not building it now, but adding it later shouldn't require another full redesign • Fix the contact form spam/deliverability issue • Get real, actionable analytics — what's driving traffic in, and whether people are actually crossing between the legacy archive and current travel/video content • Make the site something we can fully maintain ourselves going forward — content updates are our job, not an ongoing contract with you. We're leaning toward a modern page builder or the WordPress block editor rather than more hand-coded work, since that will be much easier for Anne especially, who's never worked in raw HTML — real hand-off/training should be part of the proposal. • Use a safe staging/testing process before launch Process and budget We want this structured as two phases with an approval gate between them: Phase 1 — Design. You gather input from us, come back with concepts, and we iterate until we land on a design we're genuinely happy with. You should be thinking about implementation feasibility throughout this phase — don't propose something you can't actually build — but the build itself doesn't start until we've signed off. Phase 2 — Implementation. Build against the approved design. We want a fixed-price contract, not hourly, with milestone-based payments (for example: a portion after design approval, further portions tied to implementation milestones, a small final payment at close-out) — propose the milestone structure you think fits. Budget: roughly $4,000–$10,000 fixed price for the full project, depending on scope and approach. The top of that range is for candidates who can clearly demonstrate — through past work, not just claims — that they can deliver high quality on a fast timeline. Most proposals shouldn't assume the top of the range by default. Timeline: no hard deadline for the work itself, but we want this moving as fast as quality allows — roughly two months as a mental target, though we're open to a different timeline if your proposal justifies it. Ideal candidate We're especially interested in someone (or a small team) who can cover both the creative/UX side and the technical/backend side of this — both matter. In our view, the backend/migration mechanics are the more straightforward, well-defined part given the known content volume; the creative/UX work and the partner-facing credibility question are the harder, more differentiating part of this project. We're also specifically looking for experience with content-heavy WordPress redesigns — not new builds from scratch. Please include in your reply 1 Your rough plan for approaching a project like this — what steps you'd take and in what order — along with your relevant experience doing similar work. This is a first-pass filter, not a request for a fully detailed proposal; if we narrow down to one or two candidates, we'll go deeper on specifics with them directly. 2 Links to 2–3 relevant projects that best show your design work — ideally content-heavy or travel/lifestyle sites — so we can judge your visual/UX judgment directly. 3 Your experience with the implementation side of content-heavy WordPress redesigns specifically (not new builds) — including how you protect existing URLs, SEO value, and internal links during a migration, given search is our dominant traffic source. 4 Whether your proposal covers both design and implementation yourself, or as a team — and if a team, who does what, with examples of each person's part. 5 How you'd structure the design phase — what you'd deliver, how revisions would work, and how we'd land on an approved design before implementation begins. 6 Whether you recommend the WordPress block editor, a page builder, or another approach — and why (it's fine to describe how you'd decide rather than commit to an answer right now). 7 How you'd set up analytics to show us what's driving traffic in, and whether people are moving between the legacy content and our current travel/video content. 8 How you'd approach the site's core traffic-flow architecture — routing viewers who land from a video toward more content and offerings, and viewers who land from search toward the channel and current content (including the video resource pages described earlier). 9 A rough fixed-price estimate and timeline based on the scope above, plus your proposed payment milestones.

We'd like to use SquareSpace to create a site similar to an existing site we have in Wordpress. There are several pages to create, but not very complex nor dynamic. We have a shortened timeline so we'd like to enable a person who has significant experience in SquareSpace to complete this one time project. This project should require less than 10-15 hours of effort from an experienced professional.
The effort will consist of copying 10-15 pages with existing content, a menu with dropdown functionality and custom solutions for advanced content such as scrolling backgrounds, linked pages, etc. We will let the designer choose the custom solutions based on their experience/knowledge of SquareSpace. Future updates/changes will be granted separate contracts.
