I have worked with 100+ clients throughout my freelancing career and have successfully completed many projects, but I have never encountered a situation like this before. The client expected pixel-perfect design implementation but did not provide any proper design resources such as Figma files, mockups, or structured design documentation. Almost all requirements were communicated through scattered chat messages, yet the expectation was that everything should look perfectly designed and visually polished. As a developer, I explained multiple times that achieving pixel-perfect results requires clear design files or visual references. Without those assets, developers are forced to guess the intended layout and design decisions, which naturally leads to misunderstandings. Unfortunately, the expectations remained extremely high despite the absence of proper design guidelines. This created a frustrating workflow where the standards were strict, but the necessary resources to achieve those standards were never provided. In my experience working with many clients on Upwork, successful projects always start with clear requirements and well-defined design assets. Unfortunately, that structure was missing in this project. I strongly recommend that other freelancers clarify all requirements, deliverables, and design materials before starting work with this client to avoid similar difficulties.
