Security & Privacy

No. Vollna does not collect, process, or store any contract or billing information. The extension only gathers proposals, invites, profile stats, and public profile info (title, skills, work history, reviews).
No. Messages and private client communication are never collected or stored.Even if the extension detects message data while browsing, it’s automatically filtered out on our backend and never saved.
No. Even inside Upwork, only the last 4 digits of your card are visible — the full number, expiration, and CVV are never shown. It’s technically impossible for any extension to access them.
No. The extension NEVER accesses your Upwork password. It uses:
  • Your Upwork session (OAuth token) to fetch data
  • Vollna login token to sync to our servers
We never see or store your Upwork password.
Yes. Data is:
  • ✅ Transmitted over HTTPS (TLS 1.3 encryption)
  • ✅ Stored on secure AWS servers
  • ✅ Access-controlled (only you can see your data)
Vollna is GDPR-compliant:
  • ✅ You can request data export
  • ✅ You can request data deletion
  • ✅ We don’t sell your data to third parties
  • ✅ See our Privacy Policy
For technical users inspecting network traffic:The extension sends data to Vollna’s backend as you browse Upwork. However, our backend filters this data and only stores:
  • Proposals, invites, and profile stats
  • Nothing else (messages, contracts, billing) is saved
This approach ensures we collect only what’s needed while maintaining a smooth user experience.

Safety & Upwork Compliance

We’ve had over 2,000 active users with no bans reported since 2022.The extension helps you fill proposal forms (like Grammarly or browser autofill) but YOU submit every proposal. It’s designed as a productivity tool that keeps you in control.
No. The extension auto-fills proposal forms with your templates, but YOU always review and click “Submit”.We never submit proposals automatically.
This is the standard permission needed to:
  • Read: Proposals, invites, and profile stats you already see
  • Change: Fill text fields in proposal forms (like a password manager fills login forms)
Other extensions you use (like ad blockers, Grammarly, Honey) request identical permissions.

Functionality

The extension runs while you browse Upwork, but only processes and stores specific data.
  • What we store: Only proposals, invites, profile stats, and public profile info
  • Auto-fill works on: Job application pages (/nx/proposals/job/*/apply)
  • What we filter out: Messages, contracts, billing, and any other sensitive data
Even if you visit these pages, the data is automatically discarded on our backend.
You can:
  1. Add multiple accounts to Vollna dashboard
  2. Switch between them when applying to jobs
  3. Each account syncs separately (proposals, invites, stats)
Great for agencies or freelancers with specialized profiles.
Yes, absolutely! The extension fills the form, but you can:
  • Edit any field (cover letter, rates, answers)
  • Regenerate AI content if you don’t like it
  • Save changes as a new template
Always review before submitting.
No. The extension:
  • Runs lightweight scripts (< 1MB)
  • Only syncs when you visit specific pages
  • Doesn’t affect Upwork’s performance
