What data is collected

The extension only collects the minimum data needed for your dashboard:
  • Proposals (cover letter, terms, connects spent, status)
  • Invites (job title, status, freelancer name)
  • Profile stats (views, impressions, clicks)
  • Public profile info (title, skills, work history, reviews – used for proposal generation)

What data is never collected

Vollna does not collect, process, or store:
  • Contract details
  • Billing or payment information (card details, bank data, etc.)
  • Client messages or private communication
  • Any data unrelated to dashboard analytics

How data is stored

On Vollna servers

  • Proposals (title, status, date, client name)
  • Invitations (job details, invite status)
  • Profile stats (views, response rate, connects balance)
  • Public profile info (skills, work history, reviews — used for AI proposals)

What we NEVER store

  • Full contract details or milestones
  • Client messages or private communication
  • Billing information (card numbers, bank accounts, transaction amounts)
  • Your Upwork password
  • Any other sensitive information

Data retention

  • Active users: Data stored as long as you have an account
  • Deleted accounts: All data permanently deleted within 3 business days
  • Request deletion anytime: support@vollna.com

How the extension works

The extension runs while you browse Upwork, but only processes and stores data related to:
  • Proposals (your submissions and drafts)
  • Invitations (job invites you receive)
  • Profile statistics (views, impressions, response rates)
  • Public profile information (for AI proposal generation)
Everything else (messages, contracts, billing) is automatically filtered out and never stored on our servers. Think of it like Grammarly for Upwork — it helps you work faster, but you stay in control.

Safety and compliance

  • Upwork Helper (Not a Bot): The extension helps you fill proposal forms faster by auto-populating fields with your templates, but YOU always review and click “Submit” — it never submits proposals automatically
  • Passive Data Reading: We only read data you already see on Upwork. No automated actions, no messages sent on your behalf.
  • No Message Automation: We don’t automate client communication or Upwork messaging
  • Track Record: Over 3,000 daily users since 2020 with zero bans reported — designed as a productivity tool that keeps you in control
