I get it, life happens and problems will arise, but with so many communication channels today available, particularly in the dev world, there is zero reason to provide no notifications of ones intention or unavailability. When a front-end lead just 'ghosts' a project, it affects the whole team and costs a lot of unnecessary delays which adds to the expenses.
It pains me to say anything negative as Mohamed has worked on this project for a year and a half. I even provided increases to his compensation over time to accommodate his performance and to recognize his valued contributions, yet for the past few months, he would go through periods of just disappearing and not providing a status update of his availability.
I'd likely only hire Mohamed again if he could prove his ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate that he's serious about the project and not just 'disappear on a whim' for extended periods.

Uzair is a great person with a deep knowledge of a wide variety of programmatic languages, concepts, ideas, and constructs. Our challenge was in mutual availability and schedules of which, I, as the client, contributed negatively to as well. I'd probably give myself a 3-star as Uzair tried to work around my crazy schedule.
For fast projects, fixes, new websites, API integrations...use Uzair. For long-term projects that require 40 hours of focus a week, at this time, Uzair may not be the right choice.
I will conclude with what I shared with Uzair. In times past when I had to terminate someone, I would often share "Right person, wrong job." In Uzair's case, and this is a first for me, Uzair was "Right person, wrong timing."

Our clients are specialists - doctors and attorneys who've built practices worth $2M+ serving patients and clients who've already tried cheaper options and failed. These prospects are skeptical, educated, and researching on their phones between appointments.
Your job is to make them trust. Not with flash - with clarity. With credibility. With design that feels like Mayo Clinic, not a supplement ad.
You'll think about why a doctor's face above the fold converts better than a stock photo. Why "boring" layouts outperform clever ones. Why the same page that works for a cosmetic dentist fails for a prosthodontist. Why mobile-first isn't a checkbox - it's a philosophy.
This isn't decoration. It's conversion architecture.
How you'll grow...
We invest in people who invest in themselves.
Strategic mentorship, not task management. You'll learn WHY decisions matter - not just what to build, but what problem it solves and how we'll know it's working. You'll understand function before you design form.

What's required...
- You already know how to design. Figma is second nature - frames not groups, organized files, responsive thinking baked in.
- You have CRO experience with actual results. You understand why users drop off, not just how to make things pretty.
- You communicate proactively. When you're stuck or behind, you say so before deadlines pass - not after.
- You already have a functioning practice. We're not your first client or your rescue plan. You're adding us because the work is interesting and the rate is fair, not because you need to pay rent.
What this is not...
- This is not training on fundamentals. Arrive knowing how to design.
- This is not time management. We won't chase you for updates or hold you accountable to show up.
- This is not a path to employment. This is contract work.
- This is not a safety net. If you need someone to rescue your work when you go silent, this isn't the right fit.
What it takes to win here...
- Ask questions before you build, not after you've gone down the wrong path.
- Own outcomes, not tasks. "I finished my part" doesn't count if the project isn't done.
- Be hungry to learn the strategic layer - the why behind the what.
- Communicate like a partner, not a vendor waiting for instructions.
- Stay in motion. We've ended contracts with talented designers who couldn't manage themselves. We'd rather wait for the right fit than repeat that mistake.
To be considered, your proposal must include a 4-5 minute Loom video walking through a design you updated. Explain what the data showed you, what you changed, and why. We want to see how you think, not just what you made.

I am an entrepreneur looking for a "Swiss Army Knife" designer to act as a long-term partner while I start two business ventures: a construction/real estate firm (GoConstruct) and a new AI-powered property intelligence SaaS (BlueprintOS).

Report Design: Create professional, data-heavy templates for property intelligence reports (PDF/Web). You should be able to make complex data look clean and authoritative.
GoConstruct (WordPress): Will need to create a clone of another side and customize content (both copywriting and images/graphics), design refreshes, and maintenance on our site ongoing.
General Graphics: Misc edits for pitch decks, LinkedIn banners, and marketing collateral as needed.
Who You Are:
Figma Expert: You understand auto-layout and how to hand off designs for development.
WordPress Fluent: You are comfortable jumping into a live site to make revisions without hand-holding.
Data-Focused: You have an eye for typography and layout in professional reports.
