I’m looking for a reliable bookkeeper who can take full charge of our day-to-day records. We’re a medium-sized company with 11-50 employees and all of our transactions are already running through Accurate, so you’ll need to be fully comfortable in that environment from day one.
Your core focus will be to keep the ledgers clean, reconcile bank and card accounts, and close each month on time so management has up-to-date numbers to work with. You’ll also handle routine tasks such as posting supplier bills, recording customer receipts, and checking payroll entries for accuracy. I’ll supply secure access to Accurate and all supporting documents electronically.
Key deliverables:
• Weekly posting and categorisation of all transactions
• Bank, credit-card, and petty-cash reconciliations completed by the 5th business day each month
• Monthly management reports exported from Accurate (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash-Flow)
• A concise summary of any outstanding issues or adjustments needed before period close
I’m happy to communicate via Slack or email, and I prefer status updates at the end of each week so nothing slips through the cracks. If you have solid experience with Accurate and a track record of keeping books spotless for growing companies, I’d love to hear how you would approach the first month.
I need a dependable professional to prepare and submit my individual Income Tax Return for the current assessment year. I’m a salaried employee and can already provide my Form 16 along with the full set of monthly salary slips.
Besides my salary, I also earn rental income from one residential property, so the computation must correctly reflect that source as well—showing gross receipts, allowable deductions, and any applicable TDS. No other income streams, business activities, or capital gains are involved.
Please review my documents, calculate the exact tax liability (or refund), verify any eligible deductions under Sections 80C/80D etc., and then e-file the return under the correct ITR form. I’d like a brief summary sheet outlining the figures you’ve used and a copy of the final acknowledgement after successful filing.
Accuracy and confidentiality are essential, and I’m happy to supply whatever additional details you may need right away so we can finish this well before the deadline.
I run a tax advisory firm in Austin, Texas focused on S corporation owners, real estate investors, and multi-entity clients. Junior preparers draft the returns. I need a second reviewer who can perform true technical review at the senior manager or partner level, not a detail tick-and-tie.
This role exists because turnaround matters. Review capacity, not preparation, is the bottleneck I am solving. If you cannot commit to returning review notes within 48 to 72 hours of assignment during peak periods, this is not the right engagement for you.
What you will review
Form 1040 returns with Schedule C and Schedule E activity, K-1 flowthrough, and multistate filings
Form 1120-S returns with shareholder basis statements (Form 7203), reasonable compensation positions, and Accumulated Adjustments Account (AAA) tracking
Form 1065 returns with special allocations and partner capital accounts
Recurring issue areas: passive activity classification under Internal Revenue Code (IRC) Section 469 including short-term rental treatment, cost segregation and Section 481(a) catch-up adjustments, accountable plans and owner fringe benefits, state nexus and apportionment
How the engagement works
I assign returns on demand as preparers complete them. There are no guaranteed minimum hours. Volume concentrates around the March, April, September, and October deadlines, with an estimated 5-10 returns per month in season.
You review the return against the workpapers, verify positions, elections, carryovers, and basis, and deliver written review notes through TaxDome. Notes must be specific enough that a junior preparer can correct the file and learn from it.
You are the second set of eyes. I perform final review and sign the return.
Requirements
Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) credential
Roughly ten years of hands-on tax experience with direct review responsibility for other preparers' work. I will consider manager-level reviewers with seven or more years whose experience concentrates in flowthrough entities and real estate.
Technical knowledge at the senior manager or partner level is the standard. Where you built it matters less than whether you have it. National firm, regional firm, solo practice, industry, and family office backgrounds all qualify.
Demonstrated depth in flowthrough taxation, passive activity rules, and multistate individual and entity filings
Located in the United States. Client return information does not leave the United States and I will not obtain IRC Section 7216 offshore disclosure consents, so applicants outside the United States cannot be considered.
Signed confidentiality and independent contractor agreements before any client file is shared.
Terms
Independent contractor, part time, on demand.
Hourly rate or a per-return flat fee schedule once we calibrate on the first several files.
This is intended as an ongoing relationship. I am building review bench strength, not filling a one-time project.
How to apply
Start the first line of your proposal with your credential, license state, and years of review experience. Proposals that skip this line will not be read.
Then answer these four questions:
Describe the most technically complex return you reviewed in the last twelve months and the most significant issue you caught on review.
What is your realistic weekly capacity from February 1 through April 15?
What tax preparation software have you worked in as a reviewer? I use ProSeries Professional.
State your hourly rate, or your flat fee to review a moderately complex Form 1120-S with three states and two shareholders.

I run a sole proprietorship and need an experienced GST practitioner to handle two things for me:
1. File my monthly nil-return on the portal quickly and accurately.
2. Complete and submit my GST registration so everything is in order going forward.
I will provide the business PAN, bank details, invoices (none for this period), and any additional information you need as soon as we start. Please ensure acknowledgement slips, filed GSTR-3B/1 PDFs, and the registration certificate (once issued) are shared back to me for my records.
Let me know your turnaround time and any questions you may have—looking forward to getting this wrapped up smoothly.
We're a 40+ person U.S. accounting and advisory firm looking for an experienced CPA to help run the day-to-day of our practice and take ownership of tax return review. This is a chance to work close to firm leadership, shape how a growing practice operates, and build toward a bigger role as the engagement expands.
About Us
Global Accounting LLC is a U.S.-focused accounting and advisory firm serving hundreds of small and mid-sized businesses across e-commerce, professional services, home services, and healthcare. Through our CFO advisory brand, SmallBiz CFO, we go beyond compliance to help business owners get real financial clarity — cash flow, profitability, and tax strategy, not just year-end filings.
About the Role
You'll work directly with our Founder/CEO to keep firm operations running smoothly, and you'll be the second set of eyes on tax returns before they go out the door. Twelve months in, you'll have built a reliable operating rhythm for the practice and a review process that catches issues before they reach clients — freeing leadership to focus on growth rather than day-to-day firefighting.
What You'll Do
• Review federal and state tax returns (individual and business) prepared by our team for accuracy, completeness, and optimization before filing
• Own day-to-day coordination of firm operations — workflow tracking, deadline management, and keeping engagements moving on schedule
• Flag technical issues, missed deductions, or compliance risks during review and coach preparers on corrections
• Help maintain and improve internal review checklists and SOPs as the practice scales
• Act as a point of escalation for preparers on complex returns or unclear guidance
• Support leadership with ad hoc operational projects as the firm grows
What We're Looking For
Required:
• Active CPA license (U.S.) or EA
• Several years of experience preparing and/or reviewing U.S. individual and business tax returns
• Comfortable working independently in a remote, distributed team
• Strong attention to detail and clear, direct communication style
• Available for part-time hours with consistent weekly availability
Preferred:
• Prior experience in a firm operations, quality review, or engagement management capacity
• Familiarity with common practice tools (e.g., tax software, workflow/practice management platforms)
• Interest in growing into a larger, full-time role as the firm scales
Engagement Details
• Type: Part-time contract to start, with the potential to move to full-time
• Location: Remote
• Rate: Open — please share your rate expectations with your application
How to Apply
Send a short note on your tax review experience and your availability, along with your Upwork profile. We'll follow up to schedule a call.
Client's questions:
Describe your recent experience with similar projects
Please list any certifications related to this project
Describe your proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, macros, etc.)

FUR4 is seeking an experienced fractional CFO to lead the company’s financial strategy, capitalization plan, and fundraising process.
This is not a bookkeeping or basic financial-modeling assignment. We need a senior finance leader who can evaluate the business, create an investor-ready financial plan, recommend the right capital structure, and actively help us secure funding.
FUR4 is a premium pet-products company founded by David Porter, inventor of the original FURminator. The company has invested heavily in product development, manufacturing, intellectual property, inventory, global distribution, marketplace expansion, and a proprietary omnichannel technology platform.
The CFO will be responsible for:
• Building and maintaining an integrated financial model
• Establishing cash-flow forecasts and capital requirements
• Developing valuation and debt-versus-equity scenarios
• Creating an actionable financing and fundraising strategy
• Preparing investor, lender, and board-ready materials
• Organizing financial due diligence and a secure data room
• Identifying and approaching lenders, investors, family offices, strategic partners, and financing firms
• Evaluating inventory, purchase-order, receivables, working-capital, venture-debt, and equity options
• Leading discussions and negotiations with financing sources
• Advising ownership on runway, spending priorities, margins, inventory, advertising, and growth
• Supporting the broader financial strategy involving FUR4 and its Platformz-powered omnichannel infrastructure
The ideal candidate has:
• Prior CFO, investment-banking, private-equity, venture-capital, or capital-markets experience
• A proven record raising debt or equity for growing companies
• Strong financial-modeling, valuation, and deal-structuring skills
• Experience with consumer products, pet products, ecommerce, retail, SaaS, logistics, or omnichannel businesses
• An established network of credible lenders and investors
• The ability to move quickly, lead independently, and communicate directly with founders and executives
Please do not apply if your experience is limited primarily to accounting, bookkeeping, tax preparation, or producing financial models without leading capital transactions.
In your response, please describe:
• Capital raises or financing transactions you personally led
• The types and amounts of capital secured
• Your lender and investor network
• Relevant consumer-products, ecommerce, retail, or technology experience
• Your availability and proposed approach for the first 30 days
This will begin as an hourly fractional CFO engagement and may develop into a longer-term executive role for the right person.

Business, Accounting, Human Resources & Legal, Certified Public Accountant, Tax Preparation
I need a certified public accountant who is completely fluent in U.S. accounting standards to take ownership books in QuickBooks Online. Day to day, you will keep every transaction up-to-date, reconcile each bank and credit-card statement, and ensure that my chart of accounts stays clean and consistent.
Beyond routine bookkeeping, I rely on you for accurate, timely financial reporting and tax preparation: monthly P&L and balance sheet, quarterly tax estimates, and a smooth year-end close that rolls straight into the federal and state returns. Everything must align with GAAP and the latest IRS guidance so there are no surprises when filings are due.
Because QuickBooks Online is already set up, I expect you to be fully comfortable with its automation features, rules, and reporting tools, as well as common add-ons like payroll and receipts capture. You should also be prepared to advise on best practices or workflow tweaks that tighten internal controls and cut down reconciliation time.
Deliverables that let me know the job is on track:
• Reconciled QBO file with zero uncategorized items each month
• Monthly financial statements delivered by the 10th of the following month
• Quarterly tax estimate worksheets with supporting schedules
• Year-end financial package ready for filing, including any adjusting journal entries
If you are a licensed U.S. CPA with proven QuickBooks Online experience and can commit to clear, prompt communication, let’s get started.

* Ensure financial reports are generating accurately
* Confirm that our Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, and other key reports are categorized properly
* Identify and help correct any setup or reporting issues
* Answer occasional QuickBooks-related questions
* Advise us on best practices as our business grows
This is not intended to be a full-time bookkeeping position. We are looking for someone we can consult with periodically each month when questions arise or when we need our setup reviewed.
### Ideal Candidate
* Strong experience with QuickBooks Online

* Strong understanding of transaction categorization, account mapping, reconciliations, and financial reporting

We're a growing bookkeeping firm based in Philadelphia, serving small businesses and nonprofits across the US. We're looking for a CPA Manager to join our team on an ongoing, monthly basis.
Here's the role in plain terms: our bookkeeping team closes the books every month. Your job is to review those financials for accuracy, meet virtually with your assigned clients, and walk them through what the numbers actually mean for their business. You are not doing data entry or reconciliations. You are the person who turns clean books into real business decisions.
Most bookkeeping firms hand clients a P&L and call it a day. We don't. Every client gets a dedicated CPA Manager who explains the trends and gives specific recommendations they can act on. That's what makes this role different, and it's why our clients stay.
What you'll do:
Review monthly financials prepared by our bookkeeping team before they reach the client
Lead monthly financial review meetings with your assigned clients (virtual)
Translate the numbers into plain language recommendations clients can act on
Route bookkeeping corrections back to the team and help troubleshoot QBO issues
Answer client questions between meetings
Some tax prep during season
What we're looking for:
Active CPA license (required, we verify)
5+ years in public accounting, bookkeeping management, or financial advisory
Strong QuickBooks Online proficiency
Real experience presenting financials to non-financial business owners
Someone who leads with education, not jargon
Schedule and pay:
3 to 5 hours per week, year-round, at your requested rate, with quarterly retention bonuses and referral bonuses. This is not seasonal work. Your clients need you every month.

We are a U.S.-based tax and law firm focused on tax planning, compliance, and advisory services for business owners, real estate investors, and high-income professionals. We are hiring a remote Tax Manager for a long-term role to support return review, tax projections, and proactive planning.
This role is designed for an experienced tax professional who is comfortable working with complex fact patterns and taking ownership of work. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing complex individual and business tax returns, reviewing work prepared by staff accountants, handling multi-entity structures, and identifying tax planning opportunities throughout the year.
You will regularly work with multi-tiered partnerships, real estate portfolios, S-corporations, and complex 1040s that include Schedule E, K-1s, depreciation, and pass-through planning. Experience with partnership allocations, basis tracking, capital accounts, real estate depreciation, cost segregation concepts, and entity-level planning is expected. You will also assist with tax projections and scenario analysis for advisory clients and help ensure returns are accurate, defensible, and completed on time.
The ideal candidate has strong technical tax knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to think through issues independently before escalating questions. Prior experience working with a U.S.-based CPA firm, tax firm, or advisory practice is strongly preferred. Familiarity with U.S. tax software, professional documentation standards, and client-facing communication is important. Strong written and spoken English is required.
This is a fully remote, offshore role with consistent workload and long-term growth potential. We are looking for someone who wants stability, responsibility, and the opportunity to grow with a firm that values high-level tax work and proactive planning.
To apply, please submit your resume and a short video introduction explaining your tax background, years of experience, and the types of returns and structures you have worked with.
