Hello there (yes, the joke's not lost on me), I’m seeking a screenwriter or writer to help refine and update a treatment for a short historical fiction romance story titled "Provincia." My co-writer and I have been developing it, with the intention of turning it into an independent short film. Set in Roman Britain around 61 AD, the story explores the aftermath of the Boudican Revolt at Camulodunum and follows two survivors whose lives unexpectedly become linked. I already have a treatment written by my current screenwriter, with the beginning and ending as I want them. However, the middle section has become somewhat disorganised as the story has evolved (in other words, I’m making a mess of the edits). I’m looking for a writer to help restructure and refine this section, incorporating new ideas I’ve developed. This isn’t a complete rewrite. The goal is to produce a revised plot summary and an updated treatment that strengthen the story’s middle. The finished treatment will then be handed off to my screenwriter to develop into the script. I want to avoid burdening them with having to decipher my musings constantly, which is where you, the lucky applicant, will come in to save the day.
