The opportunity

Exponentials, https://exponentialsdiscovery.com/, is building a person-directed AI discovery architecture designed to evolve and transform AI from platform push to human pull.

Instead of platforms deciding what people see based on advertising revenue and extraction, Exponentials begins with what an individual actually needs. Its long-term vision is one evolving, permissioned world model serving the person across commerce, healthcare, education and media.

We are seeking an exceptional Grok Bot expert and agentic-workflow architect to turn our detailed strategy into a reliable virtual operating team capable of completing substantial, measurable work—not producing endless AI plans and reports.

This is not a conventional chatbot or prompt-writing assignment. We want specialized Grok Bots that research, execute, test, document, coordinate and escalate decisions appropriately.

Current project status

The Exponentials investor-acceleration program is approximately 59% complete. The strategy, investor thesis, claims controls, demo-repair requirements, QA specifications, investor-affinity map and implementation plan already exist.

The remaining work includes:

* Improving general discovery results—not just rehearsed or curated examples
* Verifying result facts, official destinations and user-constraint compliance
* Completing structured discovery-demo testing
* Supporting merchant research, interviews and pilot development
* Building an evidence and traction dashboard
* Expanding the investor-belief map
* Finding genuine warm-introduction paths
* Monitoring investor and market developments
* Preparing personalized, evidence-matched outreach for founder approval
* Supporting technical-leadership recruitment and diligence readiness

Your assignment

Design and implement a coordinated, efficient and effective Grok Bot team for Exponentials.

Possible specialist roles include:

1. **Chief-of-Staff Bot:** maintains the master plan, assigns work, tracks dependencies and prepares founder decisions.
2. **Product-Proof Bot:** tests discovery queries, records failures and verifies whether results satisfy stated constraints.
3. **Entity-Verification Bot:** verifies products, providers, courses, media titles, prices, availability, sources and official destinations.
4. **Investor-Research Bot:** identifies investors already aligned with human agency, personal AI, trusted discovery, marketplaces and alternatives to surveillance-driven extraction.
5. **Access Bot:** researches legitimate warm-introduction paths through portfolio founders, advisors, collaborators and existing relationships.
6. **Evidence Bot:** maintains claims, sources, testing results, merchant evidence and diligence materials.
7. **Monitoring Bot:** watches approved inboxes and sources for replies, changes and action items without independently contacting anyone.

You should determine which functions Grok Bot can perform reliably, which require APIs or external tools, and which must remain human-controlled.

Collaboration

You will work directly with the founder and, where useful, with his established ChatGPT/Codex strategic counterpart.

ChatGPT/Codex already holds extensive Exponentials context and has produced the operating plan, Base44 demo and safeguards, repair specifications, testing matrices and investor strategy. Your job is not to restart the strategy. It is to convert that context into dependable Grok Bot roles, routines, permissions, reports and execution systems.

Mandatory safeguards

Exponentials’ public demo is built in Base44. No Bot or freelancer may change it freely.

Every Base44 change must:

* Be explained precisely before implementation
* Receive Alex’s explicit approval
* Be small and independently reversible
* Identify the immediately preceding saved version
* Be tested in the unpublished preview
* Stop immediately if unexpected behavior or scope drift occurs
* Receive separate approval before publishing

No Bot may send investor communications, publish changes, alter credentials, make purchases or take another consequential external action without explicit approval.

First paid milestone

Begin with a short paid prototype:

* Review the complete Exponentials plan
* Confirm Grok Bot access and actual capabilities
* Propose the smallest useful Bot team
* Build one working Bot and one recurring routine
* Demonstrate a real completed task with evidence
* Document permissions, costs, limitations and rollback procedures
* Provide a screen-recorded walkthrough

The first prototype should prove reliability before broader access is granted.

Required qualifications

* Demonstrable Grok Bot implementation experience
* Experience building persistent multi-agent workflows
* Browser automation, APIs, authentication and tool integration
* Strong QA, documentation and security judgment
* Ability to distinguish verified facts from AI-generated claims
* Comfort working with Base44 or similar AI/no-code applications

What you'll do

- Join user interview calls with Indonesian users as a live interpreter (Bahasa Indonesia ↔ English)
- Conduct some user interviews yourself in Bahasa Indonesia, following our research script, and summarize findings in English
- Translate open-ended survey responses, reviews, and user messages from Bahasa Indonesia to English

What we're looking for

Vergers du Monde is preparing a documentary book about deserts, dryland cultures and traditional ecological knowledge.

For this field research assignment, we are looking for a researcher based in or near one of two arid regions of the Americas:

- the Sonoran Desert (Arizona, USA / Sonora, Mexico), or
- the Atacama Desert (northern Chile, and adjacent Andean highlands).

We will work with one researcher on one of these two regions, depending on location, feasibility and local access. Please tell us in your proposal which region you can reach and why.

The goal is to collect grounded, human and practical material about how people live, cultivate, manage water, use plants and adapt to arid environments.

The contributor will be credited in the book.

Who we are looking for
- A researcher, anthropologist, ethnobotanist, agronomist, geographer or field journalist, or someone with equivalent field experience.
- Already living in or near the region. We are not funding long-distance travel.
- Fluent in the local working language (Spanish for both regions), and ideally with some knowledge of, or existing relationships with, communities speaking O'odham, Yaqui or Seri in the Sonoran region, or Quechua, Aymara or Kunza heritage speakers in the Atacama region.
- Curious, open, patient, and comfortable with unstructured conversation rather than formal questionnaires. The best material in this project has come from walking alongside people and sitting with them, not from interviewing them.
- Respectful of the fact that this material belongs to the people who shared it.

Scope of Work

The research should focus on one selected dry/arid region in the Americas.

The work may include:
- field observations;
- interviews or informal conversations with local people;
- notes on desert life, soil, rain, drought, water and cultivation;
- information about local plants, crops, trees or managed wild species;
- practical examples of dryland farming techniques and adaptation;
- photographs, short videos or audio recordings when appropriate and consented.

The material will be used to support one chapter of the book.

Topics we are particularly interested in

- Previous field research for this project has shown that certain material is hard to find in written sources and is exactly what makes the book valuable. Where possible, please pay attention to:

- Local names. How people name the soil types, the different kinds of rain, the winds, the seasons, and the land itself. Local terms with their meaning and use.

- Signs and forecasting. How people read the sky, plants, insects, animals or the air to anticipate rain, storms or drought.

- Reading the ground. How people decide where to plant, where to dig, where water will hold.
Shade and soil cover. How the soil is protected from sun and wind: mulching, cover, shade trees, structures, orientation of houses and fields.

- Seeds. Which seeds are saved, how they are stored, and what is said about local varieties compared to commercial ones.

- What has changed. Wells, canals, pumps, boreholes: what arrived, when, and what was left behind as a result.

Safety and Field Feasibility

The field visit should only take place in locations that the researcher considers safe, accessible and appropriate.

Before travelling, the researcher will provide a short scoping note confirming the proposed region, dates, local access, field plan and any logistical considerations if necessary.


Deliverables

1. Scoping Note

A short document before the field visit including:

- proposed location;
- approximate dates;
- target profiles or communities;
- local access and feasibility;
- logistical notes;
- research approach.

2. Field Research Package

A structured folder including:

- field notes;
- interview summaries or transcripts;
- observations on landscape, soil, water, plants and cultivation;
- plant list with local names and uses when possible;
- photos, audio or video files when consented;
- captions and consent notes.


3. Final Synthesis

A short final document of around 3–5 pages highlighting:

- key findings;
- strongest human stories;
- important plants and practices;
- dryland farming techniques;
- possible angles for the book chapter.

Ethics and Consent

All interviews, photographs, videos and audio recordings must be collected respectfully and only with clear consent.

Interviewees should understand the purpose of the project and how the material may be used.

If a person does not want to be photographed, recorded, named or publicly identified, this must be fully respected.

Where research involves Indigenous communities, any local protocol regarding permission, attribution and the sharing of knowledge must be followed. If a community asks that certain knowledge not be published, that request is final.

The researcher will note, for each interviewee, whether they consented to be named or wish to remain anonymous, and how they wish their community to be described.

Rights and Credit

The researcher retains authorship of their own notes and images, and grants Vergers du Monde the right to publish, translate and adapt the delivered material in the book and in related communication about the project.

The researcher will be credited by name in the chapter and in the book's acknowledgements.
