I'm a professional couples therapist. I'm hiring 4-8 people to be a small audience for an interactive lecture series. The topic is How Intimate Relationships and Couples Therapy Work.

Normally, my clients pay ME to get this information, rather than me paying THEM. But in this case, I won't be focussed on helping you directly, but using you to help me organize and test my content. So, I will pay you a token amount for your sustained attention and reactions.

You would attend a series of video webinars, every Wednesday at 9-11am Pacific, (12-2pm Eastern, 5-7pm UK), starting May 28. The series will run for at least 6 weeks, maybe longer. (You can drop out any time, but you cannot return if you miss a week.)

You can also join with your partner, and be paid double! You will learn many useful and interesting things, and you will even indirectly get a bit of free help or advice. However, this is NOT a substitute for couples or individual therapy.

There will be no need for you to take notes, and you will not be tested on the subject matter, but you should be attentive and engaged with the topic. The webinars will be recorded for my personal notes, but your privacy will be maintained, and you will not reveal any personal matters.

I need a moderator/researcher to lead 4 online discussions with respondents from Panama. A complete discussion guide will be provided and we'll have a chance to go over it to make sure everything is fine and you're prepared.

The discussion guide involves 3 to 4 exercises, mostly projective. If you've you had experience with running qualitative projective exercises or any experience with ethnography, that's a big plus. Otherwise, just the ability to use curiosity to ask probing questions and good interviewing technique is a requirement and I'd like to know if you've had any experience in this, either in research or journalism. Some of the exercises might involve some use of Miro boards, so any experience with that software tool is also great but it's very easy to use and learn quickly if not. The only other software we'll be using is Zoom meetings.

Each discussion will last up to 30 minutes. You need to have some flexibility in your daily schedule so that we can put up a Calendly online calendar from which respondents will be able to book their 30 minute slot with you. So if you have some meetings or parts of the day you're not available you'd be able to add those to the calendar. But you should have some time available in the mornings, afternoons and evenings to offer convenience for the participants.

Knowledge of Panamanian culture and dialects is useful. After the interviews, a machine translation into English will be generated and any confusing phrases I find will be sent to you to explain/translate more accurately into English - there shouldn't be many.

Not sure about the start time right now but probably in 1 to 3 weeks from now.
