Each week I record roughly ten-minute podcast segments that must be tightened to a crisp 5–6 minutes. The edit should feel conversational and natural rather than over-produced, so timing, pacing, and a good ear for spoken English are crucial.

Your task is to cut filler words, long pauses, and any meandering sections while preserving the strongest moments of the discussion. A light polish—noise reduction, gentle voice leveling, and overall clarity—should make the final file easy to listen to on any platform. I typically work in Adobe Audition and occasionally iZotope RX, but I’m happy with any professional workflow as long as the result meets the standard.

Turnaround is flexible up to a month per batch, though faster delivery is always appreciated. This is an ongoing arrangement, so consistency and reliability matter more than one-off perfection.

Deliverables for each episode:
• Final mixed WAV or high-quality MP3 (≈5–6 minutes)
• Brief note of major cuts or fixes
• Turnaround time and cost clearly stated in your proposal

We work with business owners, founders, and creators who are serious about their brand and their content. We record multi-camera video podcasts in studio and need a skilled editor to join us on a permanent ongoing basis.
This is not a one-off project. We are looking for someone to become a core part of our production team long term.

What You Will Be Editing
Multi-camera podcast episodes recorded in a professional studio setup with three Sony cameras and a Rodecaster Pro audio interface. Each episode is recorded with separate video files per camera and a separate audio file. Episodes range from 30 to 45 minutes on shorter sessions and 60 to 90 minutes on full sessions.
You will receive raw files after each recording session and be expected to deliver a fully edited, colour graded, and audio enhanced episode within 48 hours of receiving the files.

What The Role Involves

Syncing multi-camera footage with the audio recording and cutting a clean multi-cam timeline
Colour grading all three camera angles to match consistently across the episode
Audio enhancement including noise reduction, EQ, compression, and level balancing across all microphone inputs
Cutting a polished full length episode with natural pacing, clean cuts, and smooth transitions
Removing dead air, filler words, long pauses, and anything that disrupts the flow of the conversation
Adding intro and outro sequences to each episode (optional)
Delivering a final export optimised for YouTube as the primary platform
Editing in multiple styles depending on the episode type, sometimes more corporate and clean, sometimes more dynamic with text overlays and motion graphics


What We Need From You
You must be able to deliver finished episodes within 48 hours of receiving the raw files. No exceptions. This is a hard requirement for the role.


You must have strong experience with multi-camera podcast editing specifically, not just general video editing. We are sending you three separate camera files and a separate audio track. You need to know how to sync, switch, and cut these efficiently.


Colour matching across multiple cameras is essential. Our three cameras are a Sony FX30, a Sony ZV-E10, and a Sony A7III. They are all set to matching picture profiles but will still require colour correction in post to sit consistently together.
Audio work is a significant part of this role. The audio will be recorded professionally but will still need enhancement, EQ, compression, and mastering to sound broadcast ready.

You must be active and responsive. We need someone who checks their messages regularly, communicates clearly on timelines, and flags any issues immediately rather than going quiet.

You must be comfortable editing in different styles. Some episodes will be clean and corporate. Others will be more energetic with text overlays, lower thirds, and dynamic cuts. We will give direction on style per episode.

Technical Requirements

Proficient in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve, tell us which you use
Strong colour grading experience, not just basic correction
Audio enhancement experience, knowledge of EQ, compression, noise reduction, and loudness standards for podcast platforms
Experience with multi-camera editing workflows
Ability to work with separate audio files and sync to video
Fast turnaround capability, 48 hours is the standard, not the exception


What a Typical Workflow Looks Like

Recording session takes place at The Lodge Studios
Raw files, three camera angles plus audio, are uploaded and shared with you via Frame.io or Google Drive
You confirm receipt and begin editing
Full edited episode delivered within 48 hours
We review and send any revision notes
Final version delivered within 24 hours of revision notes


Deliverables Per Episode

Full length edited episode, YouTube optimised, 1080p minimum
Clean audio throughout, broadcast ready levels
Colour matched and graded across all three cameras
Intro and outro applied
Any text overlays or lower thirds as directed per episode


What We Are Offering
This is a permanent ongoing role, not a single project. The right person will be editing for us consistently week to week as the studio grows. We record multiple sessions per week so the workload will increase over time.
