Ben kept dragging the project along with the promise of “knock this out of the park and we will til you” and things like “we are close, keep going and you’ll get that tip” while I knew it was misleading I wanted to give him the proper closure since I started the job I wanted to finish it. I just was extremely communicative, told him when I was getting close on hours, offered many iterations, asked clarifying questions and was a really good sport about all of it. It isn’t about the money to me since it was a low payment to begin with but I really don’t want this to negatively affect my profile or my reviews. I’m a highly motivated individual with a stellar resume and I think unfortunately I just signed up to work with the wrong person and a bad contract. I really do wish Ben and his team the best.
