WHAT WE DO

We make an app that blocks pornography and other adult content on computers and phones. People install it on purpose to help themselves quit — it’s a self control app. Before every release of or update to the app, we test the whole app carefully so nothing slips through. That testing is your job.

In this role, you will follow a clear written test plan and check two things: that the app blocks what it should, and that it does not wrongly block or break normal, safe websites. You will *not* need to look at or search for adult content to do any of this.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Follow a written test plan, step by step, across our Chrome extension and our iPhone and Android apps.
- Test the mobile apps on real devices in BrowserStack — 2 different Android phones and 2 different iPhones.
- Confirm the app blocks what it should and that safe, normal sites still work properly.
- Write clear, repeatable bug reports: the steps to reproduce, what you expected, and what actually happened.
- After each milestone, send us a short report of your results plus a screen recording of that testing. These recordings must only ever show the app and ordinary websites — never any adult content (if you follow the test plan, none will come up).
- Re-test specific fixes after we resolve bugs, and run a final check before launch.

REQUIREMENTS

- Able to set up and use BrowserStack or AWS Device Farm independently, **with no training or supervision.** You must use physical devices via Browserstack or AWS Device Farm, not just emulators.
