We’re launching Block Events, an event-based mobile/web app, and we’re looking for detail-oriented testers to help us test functionality, user flows, and overall experience before launch.
This role is short-term, paid, and ideal for QA testers, product testers, or users experienced with event, booking, or social apps.
Scope of Work
Testers will be responsible for reviewing the app in two phases:
Phase 1: Independent Testing (Async)
Test the app on your own device and document feedback, including:
Account creation & login
Navigation and user flow
Event browsing & registration
Buttons, links, and form submissions
Load times and performance
Bugs, glitches, or broken features
User experience issues or confusing steps
You will submit:
A written feedback report
Screenshots or screen recordings of issues (where applicable)
Phase 2: Live Feedback Call (Video)
After independent testing, selected testers will join a short video call (20–30 minutes) to:
Walk through findings
Demonstrate bugs live (if needed)
Share usability and improvement suggestions
Answer follow-up questions from the product team
Requirements
Experience testing apps, websites, or digital products
Strong attention to detail
Ability to clearly explain issues and suggestions
Access to a smartphone and/or desktop
Comfortable joining a video call (Zoom or Google Meet)

My quiz-based mobile app is fully built in Flutter and the final Android (.aab) and iOS (.ipa) builds are ready. I already hold a Google Play developer account, but I still need to open and configure an Apple Developer account. From there I’d like you to manage the entire publishing flow on both stores and run a closed test with exactly 14 participants before we go live.
Here’s the flow I have in mind:
• Google Play
– Use my existing account, create the listing, upload the build to an Internal testing track, and invite 14 testers through email links.
– Handle content ratings, privacy policy upload and any policy declarations so the app passes review.
• Apple App Store
– Guide me through setting up the Apple Developer Program (enrolment, D-U-N-S, certificates, App Store Connect access).
– Configure TestFlight, upload the iOS build, and distribute it to the same group of 14 testers.
– Prepare the live listing: screenshots, app description, keywords and compliance items such as age rating and privacy details.
• Testing coordination
– Provide a shareable sheet or dashboard that tracks which users have accepted the invitations and downloaded each build.
– Collect any crash logs or tester feedback and hand them back to me in a structured form.
Once both stores approve the builds, the job is done. You should be comfortable with Flutter build pipelines, Google Play Console, App Store Connect, TestFlight and standard store-compliance hurdles (GDPR consent, COPPA where applicable).

Capture issues and send logs right after the issue occurs then mark the date and exact time of the log submission in the report. Send logs is located in the settings tab.

2. Make several calls during the day, bith audio and video. Log any issues and send logs. Specially attention to "answering" state when the call doesn't connect.

5. Try messaging followed by sending files several times per day. Log results

TEST A MOBILE APP with AT&T WIRELESS network with DEFINED SCENARIOS
Must-have:
AT&T WIRELESS network
1 iPhone on iOS 26
1 other phone on iOS or Android
Install Zangi Private Messenger on all devices from Appstore and Google Play.
Test scenarios:
1. Register, set password, set profile, send a few messages and files to another Zangi user, log out saving history, sign in again. Capture issues and send logs right after the issue occurs then mark the date and exact time of the log submission in the report. Send logs is located in the settings tab.
(!) Waiting for network or watch icon when sending messages are hith considered as issues and must be reported accordingly.
2. Make several calls during the day, bith audio and video. Log any issues and send logs. Specially attention to "answering" state when the call doesn't connect.
3. Send a message then browse away to another app, stay in another app for a few minutes, come back to Zangi and record an audio message then right after send several messages. Log the results.
4. Send 30+ mixes of images, files and video then browse away and check if the file upload is still happening in the background. Wait until all is sent. Log results. If not sent, mention how many, which format.
5. Try messaging followed by sending files several times per day. Log results
Report results
Receive a debug version of the app. Reproduce the failed cases, navigate to Settings tab then tap send logs. Additionally send time of each log sent and scenario description.
We might ask to reproduce the failed scenarios on a new version of the app. If this process is more than 2 iterations we will add additional bonus payment proportionally.
(!) Be attentive to delivery statuses: 1 Grey ✔️ = sent but the recipient is offline, 1 blue ✔️ = delivered, 2 blue ✔️ = seen, ⌚️ icon = trying to send encountered some issue
RESULTS REPORTING
Log each scenario and report passed or failed. Explain the failure in words and add a screenshot and timestamp, also send logs and add sent log exact time, date and your timezone.

The was really happy with the phase 1 which made it alarming to me when phase 2 wasn’t up to his satisfaction. Ben kept dragging the project along with the promise of “knock this out of the park and we will til you” and things like “we are close, keep going and you’ll get that tip” while I knew it was misleading I wanted to give him the proper closure since I started the job I wanted to finish it. I just was extremely communicative, told him when I was getting close on hours, offered many iterations, asked clarifying questions and was a really good sport about all of it. It isn’t about the money to me since it was a low payment to begin with but I really don’t want this to negatively affect my profile or my reviews. I’m a highly motivated individual with a stellar resume and I think unfortunately I just signed up to work with the wrong person and a bad contract. I really do wish Ben and his team the best.

What you’ll do

Flutter-Based Quiz and Skill Assessment App with Multi-Language Code Editor and Certificate Eligibility System
Project Overview
We are seeking an experienced Flutter developer with strong backend integration capabilities to build a quiz-based technical assessment platform. The application will be used to evaluate user skills across multiple technologies and to collect user details strictly for certificate verification purposes. Certificates will be issued manually by our internal team, and the application will only manage eligibility status and assessment data.
Platform Scope
The project includes a Flutter mobile application (Android-first with iOS-ready architecture), a Python-based backend using FastAPI or Flask, a MySQL database, and a simple web-based admin panel for internal management.
User Registration (Certificate Purpose Only)
The application must include a simple registration flow to collect the user’s full name (as it should appear on the certificate) and mobile number. This information will be used only for certificate verification, assessment tracking, and internal review. No advanced authentication is required for the MVP, though the system should be designed to allow future enhancements.
Quiz and Assessment Engine
The platform must support more than 400 questions across HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, MySQL, APIs, and AI fundamentals. The quiz engine should handle multiple question types, including multiple-choice questions and coding-based questions. Questions should be randomized per attempt, support optional time limits, and automatically calculate scores and completion status.
Multi-Language Code Editor
The application must include an in-app code editor that supports every programming language covered in the quizzes. This includes HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, SQL (MySQL), and API-related scripting using JavaScript or Python. The editor should provide syntax highlighting, automatically switch language mode based on the quiz topic, and save user code submissions for later review. Code execution or advanced auto-evaluation is not required.
Video Learning Section
The app should include a topic-wise short video section mapped to quizzes and coding exercises. Videos may be embedded from external platforms or served via backend URLs. The intended learning flow is to allow users to watch the video, attempt coding practice, and then complete the related quiz.
Certificate Eligibility Workflow
The system should mark users based on assessment results as either not qualified or eligible for certificate review. Eligible users should see a clear message indicating that their submission is under review by the team. The application must not generate, download, or display certificates, as certificates will be issued manually outside the app.
Admin Panel
A web-based admin panel is required for internal use. Administrators must be able to manage quizzes, questions, and video links, upload questions in bulk via CSV, and view registered users, quiz attempts, scores, and code submissions. The admin panel must allow manual updating of certificate eligibility status and support exporting data in CSV format.
Technology Stack
The preferred stack includes Flutter for the mobile application, Python (FastAPI or Flask) for backend APIs, MySQL for data storage, and a Flutter-compatible multi-language code editor such as Monaco or CodeMirror. The admin panel may be built using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript or a lightweight React setup. All communication should be via REST APIs.
Deliverables
The freelancer is expected to deliver the complete Flutter application source code, backend API code, admin panel, database schema, deployment and setup instructions, and basic technical documentation.
Timeline and Budget

• UI/UX consistency vs design (layout, spacing, typography, safe areas, iPad specifics, orientations if supported)
• Performance basics (slow screens, stutters, heavy operations, memory spikes if observable)
• Error handling and recoverability (clear messages, no dead ends, graceful fallback)
• Log issues with clear steps to reproduce, expected vs actual result, device/OS details, and screenshots or screen recordings.
• Optional: add lightweight automation for the highest-value regression scenarios (only if it helps within the timeframe).

The goal is to verify that all existing flows work correctly, identify bugs, broken logic, UI/UX issues, and edge cases, so we can fix everything first and then resume building new features confidently.
This is NOT a development job.
This is testing + reporting only.
