We’re looking for an experienced Storyboard Artist + Illustrator (preferably both in one) to collaborate on a 2–2.5 minute medical explainer video for a U.S.-based dental practice.
The visual direction is a quirky / stick-figure / doodle-style explainer. The tone should be clean and approachable, not childish. The full script is finalized and approved.
A reference video is attached to clearly demonstrate the expected illustration style. The final result does not need to match it 100% — creative improvement is welcome — but the overall visual language and simplicity should stay within that direction.
This is a structured, stage-based production with clear expectations and timelines.
Scope of work:
Storyboard
Full visual storyboard based on the approved script
Focus on scene flow, visual logic, pacing, and transitions
Rough / simplified drawings are perfectly fine at this stage
Goal: lock the visual direction before moving into illustrations
Illustrations
Final illustrations based on the approved storyboard
Consistent style aligned with the attached reference video
Clean, production-ready assets for animation
Timeline
Storyboard: up to 5 days (earlier is a plus)
Illustrations: up to 5 days after storyboard approval
Requirements
Proven experience with explainer videos
Clear understanding of visual storytelling
Ability to follow an established style while adding subtle personal flavor
Strong communication and reliability with deadlines
Experience in medical or educational content is a plus, but not required

While they did pay partial attention to my input, it felt superficial — as though they weren’t truly analyzing or understanding the details of what I was asking for. The work process gave me the impression that I was being handed off to a beginner freelancer from their team, which is not what I expected given the context of the project.
The logo design itself lacked the depth, creativity, and polish I was looking for. It seemed like they were just “getting the job done” without putting in the effort to truly deliver something exceptional. Throughout the process, communication with the project manager left me feeling unheard and unsatisfied, as if they were more focused on completing the task quickly rather than collaboratively achieving the best possible outcome.
While they might be suitable for simple, low-fi logo designs, this was far from the standard I required and expected. I wouldn’t recommend them for more complex or high-quality design needs.

I’m hiring an illustrator to hand-draw a set of golf-related icons in a loose pen-drawing style. This is not vector icon work and not AI-generated. I need true hand-drawn illustration with visible stroke variation, slight wobble, and a human feel.
Style reference: The attached lighthouse illustration and the Wyndham Championship illustration set are the clearest examples of the style I want. Confident pen outlines with varied pressure, imperfect edges, simple fills, and restrained color. These references, along with my previously created microprint patterns (attached), define the target look. Think expressive pen drawing first, color second. No uniform stroke weights and no polished icon-set feel.
End goal: These drawings will be used as repeating microprints on drinkware and apparel. Each icon must work on its own and also feel cohesive when tiled together as a pattern, similar to the Wyndham and microprint examples.
Scope of work includes sketching and finalizing the following elements:
black and white pin flags with striped flagsticks
transfusion cups
adirondack chairs
golf tees with accurate stripe placement
ball marker
hole signage
hole names (hand-drawn lettering or illustrated treatments, not typed fonts)
ball marker (no logo), just the markings on the outside of the circle
train
clock
course signs
logos (existing logos will be dropped in, do not redraw the logos)
Color rules: Color is allowed and encouraged, but must be controlled. Roughly 80% of each illustration should live in a primary green. The remaining 20% can be accent or splash colors such as pink, gold/yellow, cream, red, or light blue. No full-color illustrations and no heavy shading. Color should feel loose, painterly, and secondary to the linework, similar to the lighthouse and Wyndham references.
Accuracy matters. Many of these objects are specific to golf and to Pinehurst/The Cradle. Proportions, details, and relationships need to match reference photos closely, while still being hand-drawn and expressive.

However, for smoother collaboration, it would be beneficial to adjust the workload to match the compensation. For $10, the scope of base colors + shadows + post-processing + 3 revisions, with 2+ modifications per panel, seems excessive. The main reason for the increased revisions appears to be the lack of initial lighting guidelines and insufficient provision of floor and door textures.
For future projects, I recommend prior coordination on work division and establishing clear guidelines.

Strict Artistic Requirements:
No AI Usage: We have a zero-tolerance policy for AI-generated art (e.g., Midjourney, DALL-E). All work must be original and created by the artist.
Hand-Drawn Quality: We are looking for a "hand-drawn" aesthetic. Whether you work traditionally or digitally (Procreate, Photoshop, etc.), the work must show original brushwork and human artistry.

While there were initial communication difficulties, I appreciate the improvements made after providing feedback.
However, for smoother collaboration, it would be beneficial to adjust the workload to match the compensation. For $10, the scope of base colors + shadows + post-processing + 3 revisions, with 2+ modifications per panel, seems excessive. The main reason for the increased revisions appears to be the lack of initial lighting guidelines and insufficient provision of floor and door textures.
For future projects, I recommend prior coordination on work division and establishing clear guidelines.

Seeking a skilled freelancer to transform 4 AI designs into vector style illustrations suitable for printing. Each design shares common characteristics but requires adjustments to align them. We are looking for a skilled illustrator to recreate and adapt vintage artwork for a heritage Amekaji (American Casual) fashion brand. The primary focus is on designs similar to mid-century Souvenir Jackets (Sukajan) and vintage military tour jackets.
The aesthetic we are aiming for is comparable to Tailor Toyo. The goal is to take reference images of vintage embroidery (e.g., eagles, tigers, dragons, maps) and "digitally restore" or slightly modify them for new production.
This is for 50 artworks.
Responsibilities:
Recreation: Create high-quality, hand-drawn illustrations based on provided vintage reference photos (mostly 1940s–1950s embroidery designs).
Adaptation: Make slight changes to the original designs as requested (e.g., changing the text, altering the composition, or refining the linework).
Style Matching: Capture the specific look of vintage embroidery—organic lines, shading techniques, and the "imperfections" that give the art character. This is not a job for clean, geometric corporate vector art.
Deliverables: High-resolution files (Vector/AI preferred, or high-res PSD with separated layers) suitable for apparel production (screen print or embroidery digitization).
Requirements:
Strong Hand-Drawing Skills: You must be able to draw organic subjects (animals, mythical creatures, landscapes) with a confident, vintage flair.
Understanding of Amekaji/Vintage Style: Familiarity with the visual language of Sukajan (Souvenir Jackets), Vietnam War-era tour jackets, or 1950s tattoo flash is a huge plus.
Attention to Detail: Ability to analyze a low-res vintage photo and reconstruct the missing details accurately.
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop.

Seeking a talented illustrator to create 7 characters for a children's storybook. The characters should be diverse and relatable, with a focus on emotional expression and storytelling potential. The Context:
I have a visual mockup of a wedding tea towel (attached) featuring a watercolor floral border, three specific monuments, and text. I do not need new creative concepts. I need you to recreate this exact layout in high definition so it prints crisply on linen fabric.
The Task:
You will take my reference image and rebuild the file to ensure high quality at full scale (18" x 28").
The Monuments: You must either perform a high-fidelity vector trace or source high-res equivalents of the three monuments: India Gate (Delhi), The Belfry/Grand Place (Lille), and the Statue of Liberty (NY). They must be arranged exactly as shown in the reference.
The Floral Border: Upscale or trace the watercolor floral elements so they do not look pixelated when printed large.
The Text: Re-type the text "Claire & Shubham – Lille, 2026" using a matching elegant script font (do not just upscale the blurry text from the image).

I've created a short science fiction book for my daughter with her as the 'hero'. I would like to add some illustrations of the main characters plus some images of the main story milestones.
I'm guessing it will be between 4 and 8 images. Oh... and the cover page for the book. And... as the book is based in a high school in space a herald/logo for the school. I have a few AI-generated images but they are disappointing.
Its an e-book which we reads on her kindle so black and white is OK, perhaps with a single splash of color. I think a 'woodblock print' style might work well but am open to suggestions.
