Hi! I'm looking to commission an original coffee-cup illustration for my small Etsy business, where I sell handmade pin buttons.

I need one illustration to open each gap chapter. The same 10 illustrations will appear in all three books.

WHAT I NEED
- 10 original, hand-drawn illustrations, one per gap. I've attached rough concept sketches and a short description of each scene, so you'll know exactly what each one should show.
- Style: black-and-white ink line art with simple cross-hatching. Detailed, but simple and clean. Editorial or graphic-novel feel, not cartoon or clip art.
- Real, diverse athletes: different races, young men and women, and different sports. No single sport should dominate.
- One visual thread through all 10: identity. Each scene should show the athlete is a whole person, not only a player. One idea is the athlete's shadow showing who they are outside the sport (a student, a musician, a big brother). I'm open to your ideas too.

My production team and I are producing short, animated comedy videos and we’re looking for background artists! We’re currently interviewing background artists to help design and prepare backgrounds specifically for animation so experience in making backgrounds for animation is preferred.

Attached are a couple examples of our backgrounds, we do a lot of vertical and some horizontal bgs.

These backgrounds will be used in animated shorts, so they must be animation-ready, layered correctly, and easy for animators to work with.

Little Kids Big Hearts is a children's podcast that has been essentially audio-only. We're moving to a video version for YouTube and want simple animation that sparks kids' imaginations. The goal is for the visuals to support listening, not replace it.

What we need
We need four reusable animated sequences that our video editor can drop each episode's footage into. You build the system once. After that, small per-episode adjustments may be needed.
1. Opening frame (host + kid guests)
-The host and guest appear as real video, recorded on Zoom.
-An animated background or frame surrounds them and adds energy behind them.
-Please create a visual vocabulary or template that the editor can adapt to different intro lengths and guest video quality.
2. Journey to the magical land (transition, about 1–2 minutes)
-Each episode, the listeners travel to a magical land. This works like a short guided meditation, or like a show's opening credits sequence.
-The journey rises into the air, passes over an ocean and through clouds, and touches down in the land. In the magical Land of Qook-a-lackas, where they arrive, things aren’t as they are on earth. There are sparkles, qook-a-mallows grow on trees, trees might be pink and the sky might be purple…
-The base animation stays the same every episode. A "vehicle" layer is superimposed on top and changes per episode, such as a magical bicycle or a flying leaf.
-We'd like a version of the return trip back to Earth as well. This can reuse or reverse the journey.
-Optional: a second variation, such as walking through a door or closing your eyes, so we can alternate.
3. Magical land frame (kids + guest section)
-Kids join from home on Zoom, usually wearing headphones. Their videos appear in "bubbles" floating in the magical land, as if they've arrived from another planet.
-A magical creature, voiced by an off-screen actor, is never seen. We need a way to show the creature's presence without showing it, such as an empty bubble, a shimmer, or motion in the landscape. We're open to your ideas.
-Keep the animation gently alive. Kids should be imagining, not staring at the videos.
4. End credits
A short animated credits sequence that matches the style.
Visual style
-The look should feel drawn by a person, not slick or cartoony.
-References: Yellow Submarine (hand-drawn and psychedelic, minus the characters) and The Magic School Bus.
-In the magical land, nothing has its "normal" colors. Trees aren't green and brown, everything is a little different, and the creatures are never seen.
-We have existing hand-drawn artwork from the show's creator, plus multicolored icons, that can serve as a starting point.
Deliverables
-Four sequences in 1920×1080 (16:9).
-Editable, layered project files plus easy-to-use templates or overlays, such as After Effects projects, MOGRTs, or alpha-channel video files. A non-animator editor should be able to assemble episodes with them.

The concept images I provide are **reference and art direction only**.

The final illustrations must be newly created by you as an artist.

Please **do not use generative AI for the final artwork, trace the supplied AI artwork, or simply paint/filter over it**. I want the final published illustrations to clearly be original human-created work.

Traditional digital illustration is completely fine. Photoshop, Procreate, Clip Studio Paint, traditional media, etc. are all welcome.

I would like to retain working sketches/layers or other normal process material demonstrating the development of the illustration.

### Style

The target is:

* Historical realism
* Dramatic and cinematic
* Detailed but still clearly illustrated
* Serious rather than cartoonish
* Appropriate for roughly ages 8+ while still appealing to adults
* Consistent enough to carry across many cultures and time periods
* Strong anatomy, armor, weapons, horses, movement, and battle composition

I am open to a painterly, graphic-novel, ink-and-color, gouache, or other distinctive illustrated treatment. I do **not** need the final art to mimic the photorealistic AI aesthetic exactly. I would actually prefer an identifiable artistic hand and a style that gives the finished book its own character.

### Technical Requirements

Final artwork should be:

* Print quality / **300 DPI**
* Large enough for an approximately 8 x 10 or 8.5 x 11 inch illustrated book
* Delivered as high-resolution PNG/TIFF files
* Layered PSD, Procreate, or equivalent working files where applicable
* Full commercial publishing rights included in the agreed price

### Larger Project

This is a **paid test assignment**.

The completed book will contain **33 warriors**, each receiving a two-page illustrated spread. If the test works well, I would like to discuss hiring the same artist for a much larger portion—or potentially all—of the remaining book.

Because the visual concepts and compositions are already substantially developed, I am looking for an illustrator who enjoys taking strong art direction and turning it into polished original artwork rather than starting each piece from a blank page.

### When Applying

We are looking for an experienced **Adobe Illustrator specialist** to create original character artwork for Treaded Brands, a lifestyle apparel brand.

Our first collection includes five farm animals: **Cow, Pig, Chicken, Sheep, and Goat**.

**Stage 1:** Create 4–5 AI-generated concept samples per animal (20–25 total) to explore creative directions.

**Stage 2:** Management selects 2 concepts per animal for original, hand-drawn preliminary sketches (10 total).

Hello, we're a premium leather journaling brand. Each journal is a “passport” that customers choose by life chapter, and every passport includes printed inserts. The look is dark academia and heritage, with a hand-drawn, slightly imperfect feel. Our palette is deep fig-plum, moss green, cream and coffee black.

I need two designs:

One postcard-size print template for the inner printed insert. The same template will be used across every passport, with only the text changing. It should suit the brand and may include minimal hand-drawn or small decorative elements. I’m open to ideas and suggestions on what would work best.

One thank-you card design, using text I’ll provide, with a similar feel to the passport insert.

About the game: Company Chaos is a game where you race your rivals to build a company. Lie, steal and cheat your way to the top. Will you build a clean company or a dirty one? Will you survive the lawyers at the audit? Everyone cheats, it's just good business.

The job is to redraw 16 card icons in a fun, hand-drawn style, and to turn our logo into a set of 3 versions: a main stacked logo, a single-line version, and an icon/badge mark. The icons are existing designs being restyled, not invented from scratch, we'll share the full list and reference files on hire.

These are recommendations that I found online for a kindle book. It would be great if you have experience with this platform form so I can easily publish through this method.

• Color Profile: Request RGB mode, not CMYK. Screens use light (RGB) to display colors. If an illustrator works in CMYK (ink colors), the colors will look dull or weirdly altered when Amazon converts them for Kindle screens.
• Resolution: Stick with 300 DPI. While screens can display lower resolutions, you want 300 DPI so your readers can zoom in on mobile devices or high-resolution tablets without the artwork looking blurry.
• Dimensions / Aspect Ratio: Ask for a 4:3 or 16:10 aspect ratio (standard tablet sizes). A common, safe resolution for Kindle kids' books is 2560 x 1920 pixels.
• Add text into "Safe Zones" space (like a clear sky, a blank wall, or a solid grass patch) so the text is actually readable.

I need a female player character that matches the male hero in the Vanilla Fantasy pack on Fab. It's hand-painted, in a WoW Classic kind of style. Screenshots of the male and the look we're going for are attached.

She has to use the same skeleton and the same parts as the male, so the pack's animations, outfits and character creator all work on her. The spec I attached has the bone list, part names, material slot names and morph names.

What I need:
- A head with a female face in the same painted style, with the same 10 face morphs as the male (names are in the spec)
- Body, hands, feet and legs split into the same parts as the male, on the same skeleton, with the same material slot names
- Hand-painted skin textures to match
- 4 hairstyles that attach to the head socket
- 4 LODs per part, like the male

Outfits aren't part of this. We'll refit those ourselves.

I'd like to start with a paid trial: just the head, textured, with the morphs. If it matches the male, the rest of the job is yours.
