We are a growing, California-based eCommerce brand in the consumer health space. We are not looking for a “manager” to simply monitor our spend. We are looking for a Type A, data-obsessed growth professional to take full ownership of our Google Ads ecosystem.
You must treat this account as if it were your own business. We need someone who is restless when ROAS dips, proactive before we even ask a question, and surgically precise with our capital. If you are looking for a “set it and forget it” role, this is not it.

🔍 What You’ll Do
• Manage and optimize Google Ads campaigns across Search, Shopping, Performance Max, and YouTube with a strong focus on eCommerce performance.
• Develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly optimization protocols to maintain a healthy and scalable Google Ads account.
• Maintain a detailed activity log of all optimizations, tests, and strategic changes (beyond Google’s native change history).
• Perform deep keyword research and query analysis to identify inefficiencies, opportunities, and scaling paths.
• Advanced Negative Keyword Strategy: Develop structured negative keyword frameworks (campaign-level, ad group-level, and shared lists) to control search intent, prevent cross-campaign cannibalization, and improve overall performance.
• Optimize and manage Google Shopping feeds and promotions, including troubleshooting feed issues and improving product performance.
• Conduct ongoing A/B testing to improve CTR, conversion rate, CPA, and ROAS.
• Analyze campaign performance using a data-driven approach, identifying trends and opportunities for scale.
• Provide performance-driven input on ad copy and creative elements when necessary.
• Ensure accurate tracking and attribution using GA4, GTM, and UTM parameters.
• Stay up to date with Google Ads updates, eCommerce trends, and platform policies.

• 6–10+ years of hands-on Google Ads experience, with a strong focus on eCommerce.
• Proven ability to scale campaigns while maintaining or improving ROAS.
• Strong expertise in Google Shopping, feed optimization, and promotions management.
• Advanced experience with negative keyword strategy, campaign structuring, and query control.
• Ability to analyze performance data and make decisions based on metrics.
• Strong communication skills with prompt responses during business hours.
• Willingness to join Zoom calls when necessary.
• Ability to work independently and proactively, identifying issues and solutions without direction.
• Must provide proof of performance, including screenshots verifying ROAS and ad spend from eCommerce accounts you have managed (client information may be redacted).
• Fee for service is based on an hourly rate of work.

Core Responsibilities
Cross-Platform Performance Ownership
• Monitor and manage performance across Google, LinkedIn, and Meta
• Track KPIs against benchmarks and detect drift early
• Recommend corrective action when performance shifts
• Evaluate cross-channel budget allocation efficiency
• Identify proactive testing and scaling opportunities
• Support strategic allocation decisions with senior leadership
You are expected to think across platforms, not in silos.
Campaign Oversight & QA
• Review campaign builds before launch
• Conduct QA on optimizations and structural changes
• Ensure adherence to naming conventions and UTM governance
• Reduce rework loops between execution and strategy layers
• Improve clarity of task delegation and feedback
You are not doing all execution, but you are responsible for its integrity.
Tracking & Attribution Governance
• Oversee GA4 and Google Tag Manager implementation
• Verify platform conversion tracking accuracy
• Conduct periodic tracking audits
• Maintain documentation of primary conversion events
• Troubleshoot reporting discrepancies between platforms and GA4
• Ensure CRM sync integrity where applicable
You must be comfortable diagnosing tracking issues, not escalating them immediately.
Reporting & Strategic Support
• Draft weekly performance commentary with insight
• Prepare strategic pre-call briefs for senior leadership
• Oversee Looker Studio dashboards
• Validate KPI calculations and reporting logic
• Support templated quarterly performance deep dives
• Frame performance narratives clearly and professionally

• 5+ years of paid media experience
• Strong hands-on Google Ads management
• Direct experience managing LinkedIn Ads and Meta Ads
• B2B lead generation experience (SaaS preferred)

• Experience working inside an agency managing multiple accounts
• Experience reviewing and elevating junior execution work
• Strong analytical reasoning and written communication skills
• Experience with Looker Studio

I had high hopes, but in the end was not happy with the work provided.
I provided vector images to use as inspiration. For his first round of work, he gave back those same vectors with my company name written on them. So the vectors were just copied directly.
I gave him the benefit of the doubt, but when asked for the instructions to be adhered to, the next round of supplied work was them clearly rushed and completed with little to no thought.
I expressed my concern, and he went missing in action amnd didn't respond to my messages for over a week. So I hired a different logo designer who made a great concept for me.
When he finally surface, he asked for another chance. Assumingly to actually try this time around. I wish this was offered as a solution to my concerns a week ago.
Too little, too late. My time and money was wasted, and I have nothing that isnt directly plagiarized or sloppily thrown together to show for it.
I would have thought some sort of refund would have been offered as nothing of value was provided, but Surabh seems fine keeping money that wasn't honestly earned.

I am looking for a Senior Digital Analyst/Measurement Engineer to perform a comprehensive audit and optimization of our tracking stack. We run a SaaS platform and currently utilize GTM (Web), Server-Side GTM (sGTM) running on STAPE, GA4, and Google Ads.
We are experiencing data discrepancies and want to ensure our foundation is 100% accurate before scaling our PPC campaigns.
Current Issues to Resolve:
1. Data Integrity: Identifying and fixing duplicate events (especially pageviews) caused by the web-to-server transition.
2. Tracking Gaps: Ensuring all required parameters (UTMs, Client ID, Session ID) are passed correctly from Web to Server to GA4.
3. Implementing/Fixing Enhanced Conversions (passing hashed user data) to improve attribution.
4. Offline Conversions: Setting up/Auditing the flow for Renewal Transactions (occurring 3 days after the initial trial) to ensure they are attributed back to the original Google Ads click (GCLID/WBRAID).
5. Funnel Accuracy: Ensuring the conversion funnel reflects the true user journey without "breaking" sessions between the landing page and the checkout.
Scope of Work:
1. Audit: Review current Web & Server GTM containers.
2. Deduplication: Ensure Event IDs are correctly implemented to prevent double-counting.
3. Offline Setup: Configure the server-side logic to send the 3-day renewal event to GA4 and Google Ads.

After multiple revisions, the video was finally satisfactory but some of the things that needed to be edited should have never been submitted to review in the first place.
I was asked multiple times to release milestones for work that wasn't approved/complete. It seemed like the freelancer just wanted to get paid immediately. I understand wanting to receive payment after a job is complete satisfactorily but what seemed like constant harassment to release a milestone for work that wasn't complete left a very sour taste in my mouth.
I won't be working with this freelancer again. If you are in a tight spot and need something done then by all means this freelancer will get it done. It just won't be the experience you're looking for.

The client required all discussions to be conducted strictly via Microsoft Teams, and during these interactions I experienced unprofessional behavior, including rudeness and mocking.
Throughout the project, the scope was repeatedly extended. The client had multiple developers working on the same WordPress (Elementor) site, and their changes frequently affected or overwrote my work. I informed the client about this on multiple occasions.
In addition, the client changed the WordPress login credentials very frequently - sometimes daily- without prior notice. This caused repeated access disruptions and created trust and workflow issues during the project.
Despite completing the agreed scope and delivering additional work beyond what was originally defined, the client always raised minor issues - many caused by other developers - as a reason to withhold payment. I did not refuse any reasonable requests and did not miss any items from the original scope of work. Still I refunded him on another contract as a gesture of goodwill.
The client tends to change project expectations based on personal preference rather than clearly defined requirements. If you choose to work with this client, I strongly recommend finalizing the scope in very precise terms and avoiding any ambiguity, as it may be used against you later. Also, never work with him via any other platform than UPWORK !

Instead, I was told to make it work with an unsuitable image.
For one page, I used the exact same content from the live site, but the client repeatedly claimed it was incorrect. After several exchanges, he eventually admitted the content was correct, but without acknowledging his earlier remarks. When I asked project-related questions, his responses were dismissive, suggesting my "attitude was changing."
Overall, the client lacked technical knowledge, frequently acted in an unprofessional manner, and treated me more like a subordinate than a collaborator.

Then blame us for this, even though we were very clear from the beginning as to what the client wants and the updates need. We have had this issue in the past. His work is good. That was never the problem.
We hired another developer to complete the tasks assigned to Ashish and the client is very happy with the results. Excuses don't solve problems. Trying to get more money (with a budget that you agreed to) on a deadline is really unprofessional. He can say we wanted more edits than contracted, but that is untrue, that is just tactic to work you for more money when you are under pressure to a deadline. It all worked out for our client in the end, we paid Ashish for what he did do, and hired another developer with the same budget to complete the same tasks asked that he did not complete.

Unfortunately, after he was assigned a 3rd project, everything task done on the milestone was incorrect and horrible. After many excuses, it became very apparent that this developer had someone else from "his team" doing the work that told us he was doing. This goes against upworks rules. The work was so bad on this last project, there is no way he could have done this mess. Furthermore, blaming us for whatever reason, still doesn't excuse deception. Trust is an important issue. Beware of overpromising and undelivering and his controlling behavior. This guy actually is really good developer. However, what he did to us and our client is unprofessional and inexcusable behavior.

We used to have better data, but our last reliable activity visibility was around 2021. We need someone who can diagnose what’s missing, fix tracking, and help us build a setup that lets us answer questions like:
When did a prospect last open an email?
Which email(s) did they open or click?
Which pages on our website did they visit?
Did they click a “purchase ticket/pass” button?
Did they click but not complete the purchase?
How should that behavior affect lead scoring and nurture flows?

- Our website contractor confirmed it appears to originate from our Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager setup
- The script has been spotted loading under a "bpm" reference in the browser console
- Disabling Google Analytics entirely removes the pixel, but is not an acceptable long-term fix
- There is no current Google Tag for anything Facebook Pixel related
