I am looking for a skilled Data Specialist with AI/NLP expertise to extract, analyze, and structure data from PDFs (~6,000 pages, 33 individuals) of text messages related to a construction project. The goal is to create a detailed project timeline, track individual site presence, and document payments & payment methods.

Because these messages are informal construction worker conversations, standard keyword searches won’t be enough. This project requires manual extraction combined with AI-driven natural language processing (NLP) and semantic search to detect implied details (e.g., slang, typos, and indirect mentions of payments or attendance).

🚨 Critical Initial Step: Fast-Track Scan for Payment Cross-Checking 🚨
Before diving into detailed categorization & AI search, I need a quick initial scan of extracted text to help me manually search my handwritten chequebook records.
The freelancer must prioritize scanning for payment mentions (even vague ones) and deliver a first-pass list ASAP so I can cross-reference cheque numbers and payment dates.
Once I’ve updated my records, we will finalize the dataset and integrate bank statement references.
