2. The June 28th Shift
- The Core Issue: On June 28th, our historical abandoned checkout tracking logs abruptly ceased on our backend, and our overall conversion rate dropped lower than it should be.
- The Status: The site is NOT completely broken—we are still actively receiving normal orders, but the conversion rate is visibly suppressed compared to the prior 2-week window.

3. Current Funnel Paradox & Clarity Evidence
- Click-Rate Surge: Following recent copy and video updates, our frontend "Proceed to Checkout" click rate spiked to a very healthy 18% (up from our typical 8%–12% baseline).
- Local Testing: I personally can never reproduce this issue. No matter where I test checkout, I can check out perfectly across all devices and Incognito windows with zero errors or visual lag.
- The Tracking Issue: Despite 18% of visitors clicking the button, standard abandoned checkout logs for our main products remain at zero on the backend.
- Clarity Evidence: Real user sessions in Microsoft Clarity show select users experiencing extreme page-load delays of 20+ seconds randomly throughout the site. No JavaScript errors are being thrown during these delays.

4. Observed Log Patterns in Abandoned Checkout data
- In looking for legitimate abandoned checkouts, we have had to wade through some other (maybe un-related) but regardless, totally random batch of checkouts abandoned for about a week in mid to late June that I had to simply dismiss as unrelated to count only the legit abandoned checkouts that seem to naturally occur every couple days when the site is "working."
- The $3 attempted purchase data appears to be a distinct pattern: highly generic, repeating first and last name structures, and always choosing the cheapest item on site which is a skin or sticker for my product that costs $3.
- Objective: Are these related? If yes, cool. Hope it helps you figure all this out. If they happen to be a 2nd totally unrelated thing, what is this?
