What we need
We are looking for an experienced fundraiser or sponsorship broker who can secure corporate CSR sponsorships in Denmark for our two active projects. This is not foundation grant writing. We already have a partner for grants. This role is strictly corporate CSR sponsorships and partnership outreach.
Compensation
Commission-only (success fee), but we like to be generous here. Your percentage is negotiable and will be agreed upfront. You are paid a percentage of funds that are actually received from sponsors you close. If you ar confident that you a succeed, then this shouldn’t be an issue.
Why this should be sellable
Our sponsorship offering is concrete and easy for companies to communicate internally and externally:
• Clear, tangible impact tied to named projects
• Simple sponsorship structure, with the ability to create higher-tier packages beyond our published levels (for example Platinum or Diamond) when a sponsor wants a larger partnership
• CSR deliverables available for sponsors (certificate, partner visibility options, and impact updates suitable for CSR and ESG reporting)

We’re hiring a phone sales representative to work with our SaaS onboarding team on a contract basis, with the clear intention of exploring a long-term collaboration if the match is right.
You’ll thrive in this role if you enjoy a fast pace, lots of conversations, and clear outcomes — while bringing calm, trust, and credibility into every call with potential customers.
This is not cold calling.
You will only call warm leads — companies that have actively requested to be contacted. Your job is to sell the value of SEO.AI, help customers get started, and ensure they have a strong first experience with the product.

Phone sales
Call potential customers who have asked to be contacted
Understand their needs and explain the value of SEO.AI
Close the sale when there is a clear fit
Onboarding and getting started
Help new customers get started quickly and confidently
Run simple onboarding sessions (light technical understanding is enough)
Make sure customers feel comfortable using the product
First-week success
Follow up with new customers during their first week
Answer questions and remove uncertainty
Ensure customers get value early

You must be located on the US East Coast (Eastern Time / ET).
You’ll work closely with our team in Denmark (CET / 5–6 hours ahead), so daily time overlap is essential.

Despite promises to improve, results only got worse. It’s clear she didn’t have the skills needed. I would have been better off not working with her, as it caused significant financial loss and disappointment.

Midway through the project, the client began demanding a refund of their ad spend, which is never a freelancer’s responsibility and was approved by them at every step. When I refused (rightfully), they switched tactics and started demanding a refund of my already very minimal service fees, even though there was absolutely nothing in our contract about refunds for either ad spend or service charges. They escalated this with repeated threats about opening a case and “finding” a way through Upwork, trying to pressure me into giving money back that was fairly earned.
Every budget increase came directly from the client’s approval in writing. I never spent a single dollar without their consent. Despite this, after months of work, the client suddenly ended the contract and tried to shift the blame for results entirely onto me.
The client had completely unrealistic expectations, wanting results instantly, without considering market realities or allowing the time needed for campaigns to perform. They ignored my professional advice, approved actions along the way, and later tried to rewrite history by claiming things were done without their agreement. They even admitted the budgets were too high but still told me to proceed then used that as grounds to demand money back.
In my view, this is not a collaborative or professional client. They expect the equivalent of growing a full banyan tree overnight, and when that doesn’t happen, they shift blame, disregard the agreed terms, and pressure for refunds on work and costs they approved themselves.
I would strongly advise other freelancers to be extremely cautious, keep every approval documented, and be prepared for shifting expectations, refund demands, and threats. Not recommended at all.
