Job Summary:

The purpose of this position is to proofread the Spanish translation of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Blue Book. The USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) has published the Animal Welfare Act (AWA) and Animal Welfare Regulations, known as the “Blue Book,” as a tool to improve compliance among the service’s licensees and registrants and to enhance the consistency of inspections by the service’s field inspectors. The Blue Book consolidates into one source the AWA and the applicable regulations and standards. The Blue Book has traditionally been produced in English, but recognizing a growing need for a Spanish version, Animal Care wants to be more inclusive and make this available to a large Spanish demographic.

I am nearly finished a manuscript for an SAT Test prep book. This will require a fair bit of formatting, as there are lessons, examples, questions, and explanations.
