About the project

Sessionly is an AI-native booking platform for UK GP locums (NHS doctors), selected for Propel Healthtech 2026. The platform has been solo-built by the founder (a practising NHS GP) and is around 90% complete. I need a senior developer for a fixed-scope contract (total budget $750) to fix the remaining issues across the iOS app, admin dashboard, and practice portal, and get the platform ready for our pilot launch this autumn.

What’s already built

• iOS app: Swift, SwiftUI, MVVM, iOS 17+, EventKit calendar integration, Speech framework for voice input. Live on TestFlight. Features include AI conversational shift search (Anthropic Claude API), shift booking, calendar with clash detection, NHS pension form generation, earnings dashboard, notifications, and GP-to-practice messaging.
• Practice portal (web): React, deployed on Vercel. Practices post shifts, manage bookings, message locums.
• Admin dashboard (web): React, deployed on Vercel. User management, content posting, analytics.
• Backend: Supabase (PostgreSQL, Auth, Storage, Row Level Security policies, Edge Functions).

Scope of work

iOS app:

• Debug why seeded shifts are not appearing in the app (likely Supabase RLS policy issue)
• Fix calendar tab swipe/scroll behaviour
• Fix logo and header positioning
• Ensure AI conversational shift search works reliably, with debug logging and refinements
• Ensure NHS Pension Locum A and B form generation works end to end (auto-populated from session data, A form completed by locum, B form request sent to and completed by practice)
• Ensure compliance document upload and storage works (DBS, GMC, indemnity, ID, etc.)
• Calendar sync working correctly with iOS Calendar via EventKit, including clash detection
• Push notifications working reliably across all notification types (booking confirmations, reminders, messages, shift alerts)
• Polish shift card UI (animated edge treatment)
• General hardening, error handling, and crash-proofing
• Prepare the build for TestFlight Beta App Review

Practice portal and admin dashboard:

• Bug fixes and UI polish across both sites
• Ensure the shift flow works end to end (practice posts on portal, appears in app, booking confirmed back on portal)
• Admin dashboard must display: submitted NHS Pension A and B forms, uploaded compliance documents per locum, locum payment details on record, and a status toggle to mark whether payment has been sent or not
• Tighten auth flows and role-based access between admin, practice, and locum accounts
• Responsive/mobile fixes where needed

Backend:

• Review and fix Supabase Row Level Security policies across tables
• Ensure data flows correctly between all three clients (app, portal, dashboard)
• Ensure all stored data (forms, documents, payment details) is correctly secured and access-controlled
• Basic security review (keys, policies, access patterns)

Overall:

• The whole platform should run smoothly end to end, with no broken flows, across iOS app, practice portal, and admin dashboard
• Flag and fix any additional bugs, broken features, or rough edges you find along the way, even if not listed above

Milestones (total $750)

1. $100 — Fix the calendar swipe bug (test task)
2. $250 — Supabase RLS debugging, shifts displaying correctly across app and portal
3. $250 — Remaining iOS fixes, NHS pension forms, compliance documents, calendar sync, notifications, AI chat
4. $150 — Portal/dashboard fixes (forms, documents, payment records and status), hardening, TestFlight review prep, handover notes

Must-have skills

• Senior-level Swift/SwiftUI (shipped at least one App Store or TestFlight app)
• React
• Supabase or strong PostgreSQL (Row Level Security experience is the key thing)
• Comfortable working in an existing codebase rather than rebuilding

Nice to have

• Anthropic/OpenAI API integration experience
• Kotlin or cross-platform experience (we have a follow-on phase to build our Android app, with potential for a longer-term relationship)
