This role is about blocking scenes efficiently, setting timing, and preparing animation files so other animators can focus on coloring and final polish. It is not a final-polish or effects role.

Responsibilities
Create rough animatics from storyboards
Block animation timing and motion
Perform clean-up passes (refining rough animation into clean, consistent linework suitable for coloring — without changing timing)

Prepare organized files for other animators to finalize

I have a song I want to do a music video for but want to give the director an animated draft. The music video is from the song, Te Espero, from Prince Royce, Maria Becerra.
I would like the storyline to be:
00:00-00:30 Flashback
00:00-nerd girl goes to a dance convention and is at the check in. Nerd girl sees a popular guy walk past her with an entourage of girls and people. She mouths the words, Lo Siento, as she accidentally bumps into him.
She rushes in to see the dance workshop and she is lost in her thoughts as she open mouth and stares at him leading the bachata dance class.
00:40, he says, llegas a mi mente para desconcentratme. She is staring and drops the water bottle that rolls towards him.
00:47 He picks it up at this moment and gives the nerdy girl a warm smile. She gives a shy smile in return.
1:00 popular guy gives a small dance pattern to the music of this part of the song until the chorus is done.
1:15 2nd part of the chorus is the nerdy girl realizing she needs to get dance lessons in order to help her chances of getting noticed by the popular guy, she finds two advanced bachata dancers and the video shows her gradually improving her dancing.
37 minutes into the movie, the princess diaries, there is a makeover scene from the character Mia. the scene is showing the two advanced dancers holding up two unflattery pictures of the nerdy girl to reveal at
1:37 When the song says, La Argentina, the ugly photos open to a beautiful girl and the advanced dancers mouth the words La Argentina at the same time.
1:45 Scene changes to now La Argentina trying to approach and get the attention of the popular guy. She goes to a pool party where a huge group of people are dancing in bikinis and shorts to sensual bachata music with an outdoor dj.
La Argentina wants to chicken out, but looks back and see the encouragement of the two advanced dancers behind her. She makes her way through the dancers and asked the popular guy to dance. The popular guys looks shocked and skeptical, but accepts the dance. then
2:00 she starts sensually dancing with the popular guy and they are doing body rolls and super in sync.
2:16 La Argentina are doing a choreographed dance part together and sometimes switches to them on the beach having fun and falling in love.
