We have an existing design (desktop) for our step-by-step shopping experience for our clients, however, we are struggling with the best way to mimic this experience on mobile devices. We have a mock design, but I am not sure that it is the best UI/UX for our particular application.

We provide funeral services for pets. Part of our experience allows the user to "finalize" arrangements by walking through a step by step process, where they can choose their service, and depending on the service, additional steps of selecting memorial products.

There are various rules that are applied to the process. Typically, we like to guide the user through the steps one by one. First, they receive a welcome message. The next step, is they choose an "Aftercare" Service. This is a mandatory step, and they must select one before moving to the next step. Their selection in this step, will determine which of the next steps will become available (for instance, if they choose an "ash return" service, the next step will be "Urns"). If they choose a "no ash return" service, the client would have no need for "urns".

One of the challenges is that there is a "Review" step, much like a "Review Cart", where the services and items selected are shown. On desktop, it is clear to show on the same screen near the end of the step sequence. However, on mobile, I am not sure how to manage this.

Also, because there are so many specialized rules (ie: if the customer switches the "Service" from "ash return" to "no ash return", we would need to clear their cart of any items that hold ashes.

We have a preliminary mobile design, which utilizes a "scrolling" function, where the steps can be slid. I think the idea is OK, but I am not 100% sold that it is the best solution out there. Also, the proportions don't seem optimal, I think the sliding steps should be smaller, at a minimum, allowing more room to present the Welcome message, services, products, etc.

In a perfect world, the user would just navigate each step without clicking the actual steps, but rather, using the "Next Step" or "Previous Step" button, but this often not the case.

We do not require a complete, polished design. We are looking more for general conceptual framework suggestion (with examples) of how to setup the mobile experience, with illustration. Our designer will then take the concept and convert to design.
