BACKGROUND:
I’ve been growing a travel vlog (Final.50.world) since February 2022. Over the past year, we’ve gained traction through consistent, engaging, and exciting content. Now, I am looking for an AMAZING Video Editor to truly SUPERCHARGE the channels!

POSITION OVERVIEW:
I need a creative, responsive, resourceful, and brave video editor to create videos for my YouTube account. The videos will typically range from 10mins to 20mins. This role also includes creating engaging thumbnails, titles, and ensuring SEO optimization to reach audiences worldwide.
PROJECT SPECIFICS:
- Creative direction -- Outline storyline of vlog using raw content and creator's notes
- Video Editing -- Editing using A roll and B roll (as well as stock footage when needed) using top video creating tool, improve lighting and coloring, ensure effective and catchy transitions to maximize engagement/entertainment
- Sound Editing -- outline required voiceovers/on-camera narration, add musical track(s)
- Revisions -- Use DropBox Replay for comments/revisions

I am genuinely disappointed the collaboration did not work out and the client terminated the contract - supposedly because the sound levels did not work for them - but it was not clearly communicated as I was just dismissed abruptly. The only technical requirement communicated was to deliver files in MP3 format. No specific technical specifications (such as bit rate, sample rate, noise floor, or microphone type) were ever shared. Therefore, I feel that any judgement about the audio quality is subjective, as there were no clear, objective criteria established. The client confirmed the issue was not about acting but the quality of the files.
The recent recordings I submitted were made on a Zoom handheld recorder, a professional-grade tool used by filmmakers, and I had a consultation with a professional film sound engineer in this respect. The sound is clean, broadcast-level, and suitable for editing in standard post-production software.
Throughout the process, I’ve been collaborative and responsive, providing multiple takes and revisions promptly, even when feedback was delayed. I understand the client had challenges and appreciate that, but the lack of timely responses inevitably slowed progress, and that should not reflect negatively on my professionalism or performance.
Given the time, effort, and care I’ve invested, under the understanding that I was cast for this role, I am very disappointed about the contract being terminated as I’ve fulfilled the brief to the best of professional standards and according to the instructions provided.

Hi! I’m looking for a reliable video editor to work on my YouTube videos.
This role is strictly about editing.
No filming, no scripting, no thumbnails.
All videos are already recorded by someone from our company.
Each video includes three video sources:
– A talking head video, the person speaking directly to the camera.
– A screen recording where the same person shows slides, tools, or workflows.
– Images/photos we need to show in specific parts of the video
Your task is to professionally edit and combine these two sources into a clean, engaging YouTube video.
For each project, I will provide:
– The talking head footage
– The screen recording
– The final audio is already synced in the raw files
What you will do:
– Cut and clean the footage
– Switch between camera and screen at the right moments
– Occasionally show both at the same time if it improves clarity
– Keep the pacing tight and natural
– Remove mistakes, long pauses, and unnecessary parts
– Deliver a video that is ready to be uploaded to YouTube
The editing style must match existing examples. I will share YouTube links to videos already published so you can clearly see the pacing, cuts, layout, and overall feel we want. The goal is consistency. Not creativity for creativity’s sake, but clarity and professionalism.
We are not looking for a generic video editor. We need someone who deeply understands YouTube videos psychology. You should understand retention, pacing, attention drops, and how editing decisions affect watch time. Knowing the language of YouTube is mandatory for this role.
At the beginning, we are looking to collaborate on one video per week. If everything goes well, this can later turn into a more steady collaboration with two or more videos per week.

1) Phase 1 – One-time Intro & Outro Production (Fixed Price Required):
What already exists:
- Final voice-over recording for the intro
- Epic intro music (needs to be cut, adapted, and dramaturgically shaped)
What I need you to produce:
- One professional audio intro
- One professional audio outro
- One video intro
