Scriptwriter / Story Producer — Bodycam Documentary YouTube Channel (Long-Term)

I run a YouTube channel built around real police bodycam footage, edited into 40–50 minute documentaries. The footage is public and anyone can get it. The script is the only reason someone watches my version instead of somebody else's. That's what I'm hiring for.
I want one writer for the long term, not a rotating cast of freelancers. Someone who learns the format, gets sharper with every video, and eventually knows what works better than I do. What you'd actually be doing You get the case: the raw footage, the reports, the timeline, whatever else I've pulled together. You come back with the blueprint for the whole video. That means: The structure. What we open on, what we hold back, where we break for context, where the story turns. You're deciding the shape of 45 minutes. The narration. Every word the voiceover reads. Written to be spoken out loud, not read off a page. The beats. For each footage segment, tell me which moment you want and why: "Reyes cam, the moment he sees the passenger reach down — hold there, no narration, let it run until the shouting stops." You don't need frame-accurate timestamps. My editor finds the exact frame. You decide what matters and in what order. Format is a simple two-column doc — footage beat on the left, narration on the right. Blank narration cells where the footage should just play. Knowing where those blanks go is most of the job. What I care about Retention. Real, structural retention, not gimmicks. Open loops, controlled information, tension that builds instead of resetting every five minutes. If you understand why a viewer leaves at 1:40 and how to stop it, we'll get along fine. If you write "In this video, we're going to take a look at..." we won't. And accuracy. This is real footage, real people, often the worst day of their lives. No inventing motive, no fabricated dialogue, no sensationalizing what didn't happen. The facts are dramatic enough. Handle them straight. Requirements — please skip this one if these aren't true You've written scripts for YouTube channels that performed. I want links to the videos and their view counts. Not a portfolio of unpublished samples. No AI-written scripts. Use AI for research or organizing notes if you want, that's your business. But the writing has to be yours. I read a lot of scripts and I know what it sounds like. If I find AI-written work passed off as original, we're done immediately. No plagiarism. Not from other channels, not from articles, not "rewritten" from someone else's video. I check. English at native or fully fluent level. This gets read aloud, so it has to sound like a person talking. You can handle heavy material without either flinching from it or getting off on it. The work 2 scripts per week, ongoing. That's a real load at this length and I know it, so I'd rather have two strong scripts than three rushed ones. If you think you can do more once we've found a rhythm, we'll talk about it then. Getting 40 usd per script , in many cases you remaking videos with the same bodycam footages and rewriting it I pick the cases and hand you everything you need. Before you write a single word, you'll get my style reference — a video that shows exactly the tone I'm after — plus the script template and formatting notes. Nobody has to guess what I want. How to apply Please don't send a template. Four honest sentences beat a polished proposal you sent to fifty other people, and I can tell the difference instantly. Send me: Links to 2–3 videos you wrote, with view counts. Tell me which structural decisions were yours. Pick any bodycam or true-crime documentary video — mine or anyone's — and tell me one specific thing you'd change about how it's written and why. One paragraph. Start your message with the word BODYCAM so I know you read this. Your rate per script and how many you can take per week. Everyone I shortlist gets a paid test script on a real case. If it works, we start right away, and I'll raise your rate as we go. I'd much rather pay one good writer properly than churn through cheap ones.

YouTube Scriptwriter & Researcher – High-Quality Documentary Channel LONG TERM

We’re hiring an experienced YouTube scriptwriter and researcher for a growing documentary-style channel featuring a real, human host.
Our content focuses on political and family scandals, such as the Monica Lewinsky affair, alongside famous mysteries like D.B. Cooper and Jack the Ripper. The channel is still very new and actively being developed, but our first video has already surpassed 500,000 views. We’re looking for someone who can consistently help us create content at this standard or higher. What we need You should be equally strong at research and YouTube storytelling. We’re specifically looking for someone who can: * Conduct thorough research and accurate fact-checking, while keeping everything properly structured and organized * Write powerful, compact hooks and intros that immediately capture attention * Create strong story structure and pacing * Build curiosity and maintain audience retention throughout the video * Create smooth, natural transitions between chapters and storylines * Work with primary sources, interviews, documents, archival material, and other reliable sources * Properly document all sources and links used for research and fact-checking * Write in a natural, human, and entertaining style * Understand that this is a branded channel and add personal touches, subtle CTAs, humor, and other small elements that give the scripts their own identity * Have a strong sense of humor and know where to incorporate comedic interruptions or sketches without disrupting the story Portfolio A strong portfolio is extremely important. You must have previous experience researching and writing high-quality YouTube content. Please send us links to the best published YouTube videos you’ve personally worked on and clearly mention whether you were responsible for the research, scriptwriting, or both. You can also include script samples, but scripts alone don’t tell us much. We would much rather see finished videos you worked on, especially videos that performed well, so we can evaluate both the quality of your work and its success on YouTube. No AI-written scripts We’re looking for an actual writer, not someone generating scripts with AI. Using tools to support your workflow is completely fine, but the research, storytelling, and writing itself must be your own. AI-generated scripts will be rejected, and submissions will be checked. Good communication is also essential. You should respond quickly, handle feedback well, and deliver reliably. For the right person, this can develop into a long-term collaboration with consistent work. Compensation: $100 per 3,200–3,500-word project, which comes down to approximately $0.03 per word. An example script and finished video about Monica Lewinsky are attached below to show the quality and style we’re looking for.

True Crime YouTube Scriptwriter – Bodycam / Criminal Investigations

|
Hello! I’m looking for an experienced True Crime YouTube scriptwriter to join a new long-term channel focused on real criminal cases, bodycam footage, police investigations, interrogations, and official evidence.
The quality standard I’m looking for is similar to international references in the niche, such as The Bloody Bunny and Dr. Insanity. https://www.youtube.com/@TheBloodyBunny/videos / https://www.youtube.com/@DrInsanityCrime/videos What You’ll Do: You will be responsible for researching and writing our video scripts based on real criminal cases and official evidence provided by U.S. authorities. Materials may include: Police bodycam footage 911 calls / emergency calls Police reports Interrogations Court documents Records obtained through FOIA Crime scene photos News reports Interviews and statements Other official materials related to the case Your job will be to understand the entire case, identify the most important and interesting information, and turn it into a high-retention YouTube narrative. Storytelling & Retention: This is one of the most important parts of the job. I’m not looking for someone who simply summarizes a case chronologically or rewrites information from a news report. The script needs to have a clear line of reasoning and narrative direction from beginning to end. When watching channels like The Bloody Bunny and Dr. Insanity, you can clearly see that their videos usually follow a specific narrative thread. Every scene, piece of evidence, revelation, and piece of information contributes to that thread. The viewer should always feel like there is a question being answered, a mystery being uncovered, or a situation becoming increasingly complicated. For example: The videos follow a cinematic criminal investigation format, structured like a high-retention investigative puzzle: High-Impact Opening Hook (In Media Res): The script should jump straight into the crime scene, using raw police radio audio or emergency calls within the first few seconds to create immediate curiosity and capture the viewer’s attention without unnecessary buildup. Layered Narrative (Step-by-Step Police Investigation): The story should not feel linear or monotonous. The script should guide the audience through the pace of a real investigation: starting with the initial false impression (e.g., a false suicide theory), moving through physical evidence, witness statements, digital tracking (cell phone data and routes), and eventually building toward the climax during the police interrogation. Surgical Pacing & Psychological Suspense: Information needs to be carefully paced, creating hooks between sections of the video to minimize retention drops and keep the viewer eager for the next revelation. The exact structure can change depending on the case, but there must always be a clear narrative direction. The script should make the viewer think: “Okay, but what really happened?” “Why did this happen?” “What are the police going to discover?” “There’s something they’re missing.” “Wait... so that means...” Each part should naturally lead into the next. The viewer should never feel like they’re simply being given a list of facts. Important – Study the Reference Channels Before applying, I strongly recommend watching several videos from The Bloody Bunny and Dr. Insanity and paying attention not only to the writing, but also to the line of reasoning behind the story. Pay attention to how they: Introduce the case Create the initial mystery Decide which information to reveal first Build curiosity Introduce new evidence Connect different events Create questions in the viewer’s mind Develop the investigation Use revelations to change the viewer’s understanding of the case Transition from one part of the story to another Build the narrative toward the final resolution Understanding this narrative logic is extremely important for this position. I want a writer who can understand why a specific piece of information is being presented at that particular moment, rather than simply someone who knows which information needs to be included. Writing Style The writing should feel: Cinematic + Investigative + Conversational + Suspenseful The narration should sound natural when read by a voice-over narrator and should never feel like an AI-generated summary or a Wikipedia article. The script should also be written with the visual edit in mind. When appropriate, the script should naturally create opportunities for the editor to use: Bodycam footage 911 calls Interrogation footage Police documents Crime scene photos News footage Maps CCTV footage Social media posts Other relevant evidence The writing and editing should work together to tell the story. Research & Accuracy Accuracy is extremely important. You will need to work with large amounts of material and understand the difference between: Confirmed facts Suspect statements Witness statements Police claims Media reports Unsubstantiated allegations Information that remains uncertain Nothing should be presented as fact if the available evidence does not support it. You should be comfortable researching cases independently and cross-checking information from different sources when necessary. Requirements: Excellent written English Proven experience writing YouTube scripts Strong understanding of YouTube audience retention Strong storytelling and narrative-building skills Experience with True Crime, documentaries, investigative content, or similar niches Ability to research and verify information Ability to understand and organize large amounts of material Ability to write naturally for voice-over narration Strong attention to detail Ability to consistently meet deadlines Ability to understand the narrative structure and storytelling style of channels like The Bloody Bunny and Dr. Insanity Experience writing for True Crime/documentary YouTube channels will be a major plus. Long-Term Opportunity This is a long-term project. We are building a new YouTube channel and are looking for someone who can become a consistent part of the team. Initially, we will start with a few scripts to evaluate quality and workflow. If everything works well, there will be consistent work with multiple scripts per month. As the channel grows, reaches viewership milestones, and generates revenue, compensation will be reviewed and adjusted fairly so that everyone involved can grow together. To Apply: Please send: Your best YouTube / True Crime / documentary scripts Examples of videos you have written Your experience with True Crime or documentary content Your usual turnaround time for a script Your rate per script Important: To make sure you actually read the entire job description, start your proposal by telling me the name of your favorite True Crime YouTube channel. Proposals that do not include this information will be ignored. If you understand storytelling, retention, and how to turn real evidence into an engaging narrative — rather than simply summarizing a case — I’d love to see your work. I run a YouTube channel focused on crime stories and gang boss profiles, and I'm looking for someone to manage the entire content pipeline from start to finish, not just one piece of it.
That means handling research, scriptwriting, and whatever else it takes to turn a raw idea into a finished, upload ready video, with as little back and forth from me as possible. You'll be the one making sure each video is accurate, well paced, and built to hold viewer attention around organized crime and notorious figures. Please don't apply if your process leans on AI generated scripts. I can produce that myself and I'm specifically looking for someone who can manage this with genuine human skill and judgment. Experience running or managing YouTube content production, especially in true crime or similar niches, is a strong plus but not necessary. I am looking for transferrable skills.

This is a long-term collaboration opportunity for the right fit.
I am launching a YouTube channel around trending topics. I will provide you with a research report including the facts, dates/timings, sources, and why each fact is relevant to the topic. You will use this research to write the script. You don't need to do the research or fact-checking yourself. Your job is to turn the research into an engaging story that catches the audience's attention. If you think something genuinely relevant is missing, you can suggest it separately for my approval. The videos will generally be 8–15 minutes long, and the budget is $10–20 per script. As channel grows compensation may also grow. Ideal Candidate: Must be fluent in Hindi and English. Good at storytelling and creative writing. Previous experience working with YouTube is a plus. I want someone who is genuinely creative and can be a part of my team, rather than just an instruction follower. I need a short, polished video entirely generated with AI that introduces my product and boosts brand awareness. The story should clearly underscore three things: how the product works, why the design feels fresh, and the smooth experience awaiting the user.
Please handle the whole pipeline—concept, AI-assisted scriptwriting, image or 3-D asset generation, voice-over, motion, and final edit—using the tools you know best (Runway, Midjourney, Pika, Synthesia, etc.). I’ll supply reference images and key messaging as soon as we start. Deliverables • 45–90 second HD video (16:9 and square cut-downs) • Source project files so I can tweak future campaigns • Captions and a short post copy suggestion ready for social channels I’ll review a first draft, note any tweaks, and sign off once each of the three highlighted aspects—functionality, design, user experience—comes through clearly and on-brand. Budget is 100 USD. Below is the $100 video explained ------------------------------------------------------------- Start video with a major rain fall, resulting in a massive flooding. Location should be an Asian environment. Then show an asian looking child and mother, whereby the mother and child are hiding at a tree after a massive flooding. They eventually are reunited with other family members, for example father and other children. + Start second section with a wildfire. Location should be an US / European environment. Without actually showing the people, only showing the dots + Start third section with a collapsed building. Location should be south / latin america. Have emergency staff moving over the rubble, and when walking over it a screenshot of the X•SAR Application will popup, showing that within 10 meter two BLE devices have been detected. We're looking for a scriptwriter for a YouTube channel focused on deep-dive cartoon analysis, shows like Adventure Time, Regular Show, Gumball, Gravity Falls, and similar.
This isn't a recap channel. We analyze specific topics like villain psychology, character backstories, emotional arcs, hidden storytelling layers the average viewer missed. The goal is to make the viewer think "I never noticed that" or "that actually hit". Every video should feel like a smart friend breaking something down, not a lecturer summarizing plot. What we're looking for: Someone who genuinely watches and enjoys this type of content. The job involves actually watching the episodes, not just reading summaries, you'll need to find specific moments, extract timestamps, and reference exact scenes that support the argument you're making. If you're not comfortable sitting down and watching through episodes to find the right clips, this isn't the right fit. Scripts are around 4,000 - 4,500 words per video. The role: - One script per week to start, with potential to increase. - Long-term collaboration, we want someone who grows with the channel. - We provide a full brief for each video with the topic, angle, and key points to cover. - Be able to include relevant audio clips from the series every 100–200 words. - Creative freedom to add anything interesting you find while researching. Video References: https://youtu.be/O3k-_FRfsWU https://youtu.be/8G18TF5e8Y8 Scripts must be written in American English. No AI-generated content, this is a human job that requires real research, actual episode watching, and genuine analysis. We'll be able to tell the difference. What to send: - Any previous writing samples, especially analytical or essay-style content in the Toon niche. - A short note on which of these shows you know best and why. If cartoons are genuinely your thing and you can write with personality, let's talk!

I run a YouTube channel in the history niche and I'm looking for a talented scriptwriter to join me. Initially for trial, but for the right candidate this will be on a long-term basis. This is ongoing, paid, regular work for the right person.
I need engaging, well-researched scripts written for narrated documentary-style videos. The style is immersive and story-driven - the kind of history writing that hooks a viewer in the first few seconds and keeps them watching to the end. You should know how to write a strong hook, hold attention with pacing and tension, and use smooth transitions that carry the viewer from one section to the next without losing them. Historical accuracy genuinely matters to me; I'm not interested in writers who repeat myths or invent facts. To be clear: I'm looking for genuine human writing, not AI-generated scripts. I can spot AI writing and I'll end the trial on the spot if that's what I receive. Use AI to research if it helps you, but the writing itself needs to be yours. Each script will be between 1,300 to 2,600 words - roughly 10 to 20 minutes of narration per video, but this vary based on the topic. I'm looking for someone reliable who can deliver consistently, in clean British English, ready to hand to a narrator. When you apply, start your message with "YT Scriptwriter" so I know you've read this properly - I'll be ignoring applications that don't. To start, I'll commission a paid test script on a topic I provide, at my standard per-script rate. If it's a strong fit, this becomes regular ongoing work with reviews on compensation along the way. --- To apply: - Start with "YT Scriptwriter" - Send 1–2 samples of your writing (history, documentary, or narrative non-fiction preferred). - Links to youtube videos you have scriptwrited for are preferred, but not essential. - Tell me briefly why this niche interests you - A genuine interest in history is a plus, though not essential - Confirm you can write in British English --- If we work together, here's what you can expect from me: - A clear brief for every video: the title, the angle, and the key points to cover, so you're never guessing what I want - The research direction - Prompt feedback and reliable, on-time payment - A simple process: you send a short outline for approval before writing the full script, so we catch any issues early and avoid rewrites

About the Role
I run a men's fragrance education channel with 1M+ followers across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. We publish daily short-form and weekly long-form YouTube. The production side works. What I need is someone who keeps it moving without me chasing it. You are the connective tissue between me and a small remote editing team. What You'll Own - Coordinate 2 editors (short-form and long-form). Track what's due, when, and flag slips before they become missed posts - QC every deliverable before it reaches me. Watch for pacing, caption errors, color consistency, brand standards - Write revision notes. Specific and timestamped, not "make it better" - Keep the Notion workspace current: content pipeline, batch trackers, team directory - Schedule and publish across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube - Track performance data and log it What You Don't Own - Editing - Scriptwriting - Research (separate role) You're a Great Fit If - You've coordinated remote creative teams before - You notice things. Wrong font, audio out of sync, a caption typo, a color that doesn't match last week's video - You write clear, specific feedback - You chase people without me asking you to - You're comfortable in Notion and Slack - EST overlap. You're reachable during my working hours Do Not Apply If - You need to be told what to do each day - You go quiet when something goes wrong instead of flagging it - You've never managed deliverables from contractors Compensation $10-12/hour, 15-20 hours/week. Paid weekly. Long-term role. Strong applicants get a paid trial week. Client's questions:

I’m building a long-form faceless YouTube channel focused on police bodycam footage, interrogations, arrests, and true-crime cases.
I’m looking for an editor who can produce highly engaging documentary-style videos with a production level comparable to successful channels such as Dr Insanity, while developing an original identity and editing style for my channel. Videos will generally be 15–30 minutes long. I’m looking for someone who can handle as much of the production process as possible, including: • Finding and organizing appropriate bodycam/case footage • Editing raw footage into a compelling story • Strong hooks and pacing to maintain viewer retention • B-roll and supporting visuals • Sound effects and background music • Zooms, highlights, captions, maps, documents, and other graphics when appropriate • Removing unnecessary/dead portions of footage • Syncing narration with the visuals • Creating a polished final 1080p video ready for YouTube Experience with true crime, police bodycam, interrogation, or documentary YouTube channels is strongly preferred. I want to start with one paid trial video. If the quality is strong, I’m interested in an ongoing relationship and producing videos consistently. Please include examples of similar videos you have personally edited, your price per 15–30 minute video, typical turnaround time, number of revisions included, and whether you can help source footage. Important: I’m looking for original, transformative editing and storytelling—not simply reposting other creators’ videos.

We're a growing DTC brand running Facebook/Instagram ads for a physical product. Looking for a creative strategist who actually understands how to sell — not just write pretty copy.
You need to understand market awareness levels, customer sophistication stages, and how to match the right message to the right audience at the right stage. If you don't know who Eugene Schwartz is, this isn't the gig. You should have: Proven experience writing ads that scaled on Meta Deep understanding of awareness levels (unaware → most aware) and how they change everything about the script Ability to write for skeptical, emotionally driven buyers (women 35-55) A bias toward action — send work, not questions Compensation: Base rate + commission on winning creatives. The better your scripts perform, the more you earn. To apply: Send 1-2 ad scripts you have written and are winners with a brief explanation of the angle and awareness level you were targeting.

Scriptwriter — True Crime Documentary
Style: SunnyV2 / Internet Anarchist Format: 10–15 min true crime documentaries Requirements: (please read) Every line must be visually actionable — specific enough for an editor to build a concrete asset from it (a place, an object, a document, a photo, a moment), not a vague summary they have to interpret Not a bodycam-style or dramatized-reenactment channel — we work from real sourced material (photos, documents, news footage, court records), not fabricated crime-scene recreations or generic stock dramatizations Cold opens start with a fact, not a scene — hook with a concrete detail and its twist in the first sentence or two, don't ease in with mood-setting Sources included inline for every claim No rhetorical questions used as a pacing crutch Short, blunt sentences — density of visual information per line over literary flow Fact-checking discipline — every claim traceable to a source dm :research

YouTube Automation Coach/Mentor Wanted - Proven Track Record Required

I’m looking for an experienced YouTube automation coach/mentor to help me build a profitable, AI-assisted YouTube channel from the ground up.
My goal is straightforward: build a channel that can reach monetisation as efficiently as possible and ultimately generate strong, scalable income. I’m not looking for someone to simply build the channel for me. I want to learn the entire process from start to finish, understand why each decision is being made, and develop a repeatable system that I can eventually run and scale myself. What I Want to Learn I’m looking for guidance across the entire YouTube automation process, including: * Niche selection and validating opportunities before committing * Competitor and market research * Channel positioning and content strategy * Identifying video ideas with strong view and revenue potential * Scriptwriting and AI-assisted scripting workflows * Voiceover generation * AI video generation, stock footage and editing workflows * Titles, thumbnails and packaging * YouTube SEO and publishing strategy * Audience retention and watch-time optimisation * Understanding and using YouTube analytics * Testing and improving videos based on performance * Monetisation strategy beyond simply reaching YouTube Partner Program requirements * Building the most efficient AI/software workflow possible * Outsourcing and scaling once the channel is working Who I’m Looking For The most important requirement is a proven track record. Ideally, you have personally built, operated or helped grow multiple successful faceless/automated YouTube channels. I’m much more interested in real results and case studies than theory or certifications. When applying, please provide: 1. Relevant case studies of channels you have built, managed or coached. Where possible, include results such as views, subscribers, time to monetisation, revenue and the timeframe involved. 2. Your involvement in those channels. Please explain specifically what you were responsible for rather than simply linking channels you have worked with. 3. How you would approach building my channel. A high-level explanation of the process you would take me through from niche research to publishing and optimising the first videos. 4. Your coaching/mentoring fee. This can be a fixed price, package or hourly rate. If you charge hourly, please also give me a rough estimate of how many hours of coaching you believe would be required to get the channel properly established and operating independently. 5. Estimated operating costs. Please provide a ballpark monthly budget for the software, AI tools and other services you would recommend to operate the channel effectively. The End Goal I don’t just want to launch one channel. I want to learn how to identify opportunities, build a channel, create content efficiently, analyse performance, improve it and eventually scale the system. The initial priority will be getting the first channel launched, building traction and reaching monetisation as efficiently as realistically possible. If you have a strong, verifiable track record with YouTube automation/faceless channels and believe you can teach me how to build this properly, please apply with your case studies, proposed approach and pricing.

We’re looking for a creative Storyboard / Visual Script Writer for animated history YouTube videos.
You’ll receive a completed script and turn it into a clear scene-by-scene visual production plan for our animators and editors. For each section of the script, you’ll decide how the story should be shown visually, for example: Full character animation / dialogue scenes Geopolitical map animations Main-character/narrator scenes Camera movements, zooms and transitions Editor/footage sections Backgrounds, characters, props and other visual elements You will not need to animate or draw the video yourself. Your job is to creatively visualize the script and give our production team clear direction on what should happen on screen. Our videos combine history, geopolitics, storytelling, humor and animation, so we’re looking for someone with strong visual storytelling instincts who can turn narration into entertaining scenes rather than simply describing what the narrator is saying. We are creating a series of 20 or more short educational videos explaining legal topics and court processes in plain language.

Please confirm that you can work directly in our Powtoon account and preserve the style of our existing videos. Use of AI: We use AI ourselves and welcome its use in your workflow, provided the final work meets our quality standards. You are responsible for reviewing all AI-assisted work for accuracy, consistency with our existing video style, and compliance with the supplied script and storyboard. AI should not replace the professional voiceover we provide.
