We're Tournly, a SaaS platform for padel tournament managers — used by clubs, federations, and event organizers to run real-world tournaments from setup through to live play. We're preparing for our first major public launch (Nordic region, late spring 2026).


THE GOAL

Get the product customer-facing ready. We need someone to put us through a final, rigorous shakedown before we start putting Tournly in front of paying customers — and to tell us, honestly, where it's not ready yet.


THE ROLE — HYBRID: TESTER + CRITICAL FRIEND

This is a 2-week engagement, capped at 20 hours, but it's not just bug-hunting. We're a young product, and we need someone willing to be opinionated.

You'll wear two hats:

1. Manual QA tester — break things, find bugs, document them clearly.

2. UX/UI critic — tell us where flows feel clunky, where the wording confuses you, where a button is in the wrong place, where trust drops, where a casual user would bounce. Pushback is part of the job, not a bonus. If something doesn't sit right, we want to hear it — even if it's not technically broken. The best feedback often isn't "this is a bug," it's "this is correct, and it still feels wrong."

We're not looking for someone who'll redesign the app for us. We're looking for someone with product instincts who'll point at the rough edges and say "your customers are going to trip here," then back it up with what they saw and why.


WHAT YOU'LL HAMMER

1. Payment flows — Stripe Checkout, entry fees, partner invite payments, refund/cancel paths, and the edge cases when something goes wrong mid-payment.

2. Tournament setup wizard — the manager journey from blank-slate to live tournament: creating tournaments, configuring brackets (knockout, round-robin, World Cup, Americano, Compass formats), scheduling, and entry fee setup.

3. Public-facing player flows — registration pages, partner invites, public bracket views — the experience our customers' players actually see.
