Project Overview
I need an experienced mobile developer to build an app that reduces EMF exposure by automatically switching Wi-Fi / mobile data / airplane mode ON and OFF according to user-defined rules.

Primary target: Native Android app, no root, using a one-time ADB permission grant.

Secondary target: Native iOS app for jailbroken (rooted) devices, implementing the same behaviour as far as technically possible on jailbroken iOS. This iOS version does not need to be App Store compatible.

The key point: after initial setup, the app must automatically toggle radios in the background according to schedules, locations, and user rules.

Core Requirements – Android (Primary)

Native Android app (Android 9+), written in Kotlin (preferred) or Java.

One-time ADB setup to grant WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS (no root):

adb shell pm grant PACKAGE_NAME
android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS


After that, the app should be able to silently control:

Wi-Fi ON/OFF

Mobile data ON/OFF

Airplane mode ON/OFF (or equivalent system-level solution)

Connection windows:

User can choose connection duration: 1–10 minutes ON, then OFF again.

User can choose interval to reconnect:

every X minutes, hours, or days.

Multiple schedules must be supported (e.g. different times of day, different days of week).

Connection priority logic:

User can choose:

Wi-Fi first, then mobile data as fallback, or

Mobile data first, then Wi-Fi as fallback.

The app should:

Try the first connection type,

Wait a configurable time for success,

If successful → do not try the second type (user option),

If not successful → try the second connection type.

Locations / places:

User can define places on a map:

Google Maps, or a free/open-source map library (e.g. OSM).

For each place:

Set a radius (e.g. 50–1000 m).

Define behaviour:

Wi-Fi only / mobile data only / both / none,

Which schedules apply,

Which connection priority mode to use (Wi-Fi first or mobile first).

Sleep mode:

User defines a daily sleep interval (e.g. 23:00–07:00).

During sleep:

No connection windows are triggered.

Radios remain OFF unless user overrides manually.

Call & app protection:

Do not disconnect while:

a call is ongoing (cellular; and VoIP apps if technically detectable, e.g. WhatsApp, Telegram, Skype, Signal).

Allow user to define “protected apps”:

While a protected app is in the foreground, keep the connection ON.

When the app closes, resume normal scheduling.

USB/Ethernet logic:

Detect when device is connected:

via USB cable (charging or data),

via Ethernet adapter.

When connected (configurable behaviour, default):

Keep radios OFF,

Reset/restart timers so the next connection window starts only after disconnecting.

UI – simple and clean:

Global automation ON/OFF toggle.

Screens for:

Schedules (intervals and durations),

Places (map + radius + rules),

Connection priority (Wi-Fi first / mobile first, skip second if first succeeds),

Protected apps,

Sleep mode,

ADB setup wizard (with clear instructions),

Status (current mode, next connection window, radios ON/OFF).

Secondary Scope – iOS (Jailbroken Devices Only)

Develop a native iOS version with the same concept and logic, but explicitly targeting jailbroken (rooted) devices only.

Use jailbreak capabilities / tweaks / private APIs as needed to:

Control Wi-Fi and mobile radios automatically,

Implement similar scheduling, places, sleep mode, and protection rules.

This iOS version:

Does not need to be App Store compatible.

Is intended strictly for users with jailbroken devices who manually install the app.

If certain things are not technically possible even on jailbroken devices, document the limitations clearly and implement the maximum achievable subset.

Technical Expectations

Android:

Language: Kotlin preferred, Java acceptable.

Architecture: MVVM or similar, modular, clean.

Background work:

WorkManager and/or appropriate foreground services.

Storage:

Room and/or DataStore for schedules, places, settings.

Handle:

Battery optimizations,

iOS (jailbroken):

Use appropriate mechanisms for jailbroken environments to control radios and run background tasks.
