Essential skills & background
You must be a Muslim with a strong command of spoken Arabic—including Qur’anic and classical phrases—and equally strong written English. Previous experience in video captioning/subtitling is required, along with sharp attention to formatting consistency.

Deepgram is hiring motivated native Kannada speakers to join our transcription team and help scale Kannada operations. You’ll be a part of a growing team that contributes to improve our AI-powered speech recognition (ASR) products.
This remote freelance role is ideal for people who enjoy language, listening carefully, and working with audio. Many of our best labelers didn’t have prior transcriptionist experience when applying. Some only had experience in 1 or 2 of these fields: translation, localization, proofreading, copywriting, teaching, linguistics, virtual assistance, data entry, subtitling, captioning, audio engineering, music production, voice over, podcasting, content writing, or academic research.
Please read carefully to know if you’re a good fit.
-- Pay: 25 USD per audio hour transcribed
-- Rate is based on audio length, not time spent
-- Depending on audio difficulty, 1 hour of audio can take roughly 1 to 4 hours to complete

What You’ll Do (in order of relevance):

Deepgram is hiring motivated native Telugu speakers to join our transcription team and help scale Telugu operations. You’ll be a part of a growing team that contributes to improve our AI-powered speech recognition (ASR) products.
This remote freelance role is ideal for people who enjoy language, listening carefully, and working with audio. Many of our best labelers didn’t have prior transcriptionist experience when applying. Some only had experience in 1 or 2 of these fields: translation, localization, proofreading, copywriting, teaching, linguistics, virtual assistance, data entry, subtitling, captioning, audio engineering, music production, voice over, podcasting, content writing, or academic research.
Please read carefully to know if you’re a good fit.
-- Pay: 25 USD per audio hour transcribed
-- Rate is based on audio length, not time spent
-- Depending on audio difficulty, 1 hour of audio can take roughly 1 to 4 hours to complete
-- Engagement: Long term freelance contract
-- Availability: Minimum 10 hours per week on an ongoing basis
What You’ll Do (in order of relevance):
1. Edit and finalize transcripts of Telugu audio of different lengths, topics, and difficulty levels
-- You do not start from a blank page
-- You work from a draft generated by Deepgram ASR and correct it for accuracy, punctuation, and style
2. Apply the Style Guide and project rules consistently
3. Flag issues in audio, guidelines, or tooling and report them to the Project Lead
4. Collaborate with the team in shared docs (Google Docs or Sheets) when needed

I need a detail-oriented virtual assistant who can keep large volumes of information impeccably organised. Your core focus will be data entry:
• Excel spreadsheet entry – adding new rows, applying basic formulas, and maintaining consistent formats
• Database updates through our web dashboard
• Online form submissions on partner portals, with screen grabs as proof
Accuracy is everything, so I’ll ask you to double-check each batch before handing it back.
Although data entry is the primary task, I also have occasional content that must move from English to Amharic. If you’re comfortable with this language pair, that’s a real plus; if not, feel free to bid for the data work only and note that in your message.
All source files arrive in Google Drive, and final spreadsheets stay in .xlsx. For translations, please return a clean Word document.
