Looking for a list of pre-defined tasks to complete each day so that you just have to check them complete? This isn't the role for you.
I need a tech-savvy, independent team member with native English who can master our podcast production process, manage speaker relationships, and work with me to launch new initiatives, create SOPs, identify technology that can help us be more efficient, and monitor my inbox to stay on top of all new information—all while working autonomously and thinking strategically about our business.
**What Makes This Role Different**
You'll be a key collaborator alongside our Project Manager, Website Creator, and Customer Service team. This isn't about taking orders—it's about owning our podcast production cycle from speaker outreach for daily operations, the person who knows off the top of her/his head where we are with ongoing projects.
Example of what you'll own: When I say [Speaker Name] just agreed to be on the show in 3 months, you'l know exactly what to do, what information we need, their deadlines, and who to assign each task to so that we are ready 10 days before launch date. Note all the tasks are in ClickUp, but you'll have big picture view of all the pieces and what to start first.
**About Us**
We're a 13-year-old online energy healing marketplace using WooCommerce, producing ~30 podcasts annually with accompanying digital courses. Our work creates meaningful impact in people's lives (check our reviews), and we're looking for someone who appreciates the transformative power of energy healing.
**Key Responsibilities**
Podcast Production & Management
- Master our complete podcast-to-product cycle (fully documented in ClickUp)
- Identify and outreach to potential speakers using our systems and templates
- Manage speaker relationships, follow-ups, and deadline enforcement
- Coordinate all production elements and launch logistics
**Executive Support & Operations**
- Monitor and manage my inbox, drafting responses where appropriate with voice/tone matching
- Handle customer service inquiries and escalations in zendesk (we also have a person who handles tickets off hours and weekends0
- Serve as point person during my travel/vacation
- WooCommerce product management and website page edits (we have someone who builds our pages this would just be small edits)
- Email sequence setup and management in our email marketing provider

**Working Arrangement**
Flexible but Consistent: Currently business hours are Los Angeles time through end of 2025, then I will be traveling (India Jan-Mar, Europe ongoing after that), so we need someone who can complete training with Los Angeles time and then move to India/Europe hours ongoing. Expect 2-3 hours morning, 1-2 hours afternoon. Occasionally when speakers miss deadlines, we have some weekend or off hours work, but we keep that to a bare minimum. Regular work will be during weekdays.
Communication Style: Primary communication via chat with initials TG (am not allowed to write it out name in job description even though it's just the name!). You'll work independently with clear outcome expectations, not micromanagement. We have a process with emojis for managing my instructions and questions via chat to make sure nothing falls through the cracks.

3) Setting up one of our standard emails according to our SOP to show you can follow written instructions, have familiarity with setting up emails/formatting, and gather required information from various sources.
4) Researching a tech solution for a problem.

However I was never given any, so you can imagine my surprise when I was abruptly informed I was being replaced, and my services were no longer required,
I am very aware of the dynamic upon which freelance work exists. Yes, contracts end and begin all the time. Yet when you provide consistent, quality work for a client for an extended amount of time, you inevitably develop a working relationship with them built on mutual trust and understanding. So when you are made aware, completely out of the blue, that they are terminating your contract, with no notice and little explanation, it can indeed be quite disheartening. I certainly would provide any client of mine with advance respectful notice of my impending departure, and I only expect the same in return, no more. (Expect of course, if it was a case of an issue with repeated absence or low quality work, which this was not.)
However, everything happens for a reason, and I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to work with the client. I have certainly learned quite a bit throughout my time with her. The most important of which being, in my opinion, a renewed perception of the right and the wrong way to treat people.

I am no sure if it was a English as a second language issue or not reading what I sent him. Several times he did tasks incorrectly, even though the instructions were very clear - we have very specific procedures. I would show him where the procedure said to do something different than what he did and he would fix it. It looked to me he would read the first bit and then assume what I wanted him to do without reading the rest of the details. I could be wrong, maybe it was an English problem. But one time it created a disaster. It was terrible timing, when he worked for me Elementor's role permissions didn't work, so I had to give him access to all Elementor pages, not just the few he created. I asked him to fix the slug on his pages and he changed them for ALL previous pages going back 4 years. Now all our historical slugs didn't work - he runs websites himself so I can't imagine why he would think I would suddenly want him to go change all the previous slugs - once they are published you don't want to change them! It was a nightmare. Elementor fixed their role permission issue a few days later, so technically he should not have had access. He had never worked on any other pages other than his own 3 before, so if he was unclear, he should have asked if I now wanted him to edit all the other historical pages. Because of the previous issues with comprehension, I had to end the contract. I do think once he had made several of our pages he would have been okay working just creating Elementor pages with very limited access, but I couldn't take any chances.

I filmed a podcast on the beach during sunset, and need a colorist who can keep the look consistent throughout. There are only 2 main angles that take up the majority of the video, but there are a good handful of b-roll shots throughout, and the sun sets from golden hour to dark by the end of the video. It should be an easy job but just requires keeping the look as consistent as possible across all the clips. Unfortunately it was cut in capcut which I now realize doesn't allow .xml exports, so I would supply you with a full ProRes .MOV with the original flat log look, and you'd have to use the cut detective option in davinci, which I believe requires a pro account. Please let me know if you'd like to discuss and see the footage!

It seemed like she knew what I was asking and her communication prior to it was excellent. I gave her so much information (vision boards, font examples, previous work from other designers) to make the project successful and the timeline she asked for was long but I felt confident that she was actually going to be able to help so I went with it. Then she took what I had given her and didn't even make a logo concept, she took one of the AI pieces I uploaded for font ideas and erased some of the excess blocks and didn't even make a logo and delivered that as a logo. I get that I wasn't paying a lot but it seemed like she genuinely wanted to help and I got my hopes up, only to really be let down and left in a even worse predicament.
I’m ready to give my site a fresh, strategic overhaul and need a designer-developer who can move fast while nailing the details.
First, convert the existing homepage into a dedicated podcast hub—same URL, new layout, plus an easy way for me to upload future episodes.
Next, build a brand-new homepage that puts my services front and center. Above the fold I want visitors to see what I do, then flow naturally into a short biography, a crisp video introduction, an “About Kabir” snapshot, and quick links to each service. The look should feel personal yet clearly commercial.
For the services themselves, create simple one-page sections: concise descriptions paired with transparent pricing. Keep them mobile-first, scannable, and ready for SEO.
Finally, add a PR & Media page where I can showcase press features, downloadable assets, and contact details for journalists.
I’ll supply copy, images, and video; you handle wireframes, visual design, responsive build, and integration into my WordPress CMS so I can update content without touching code.

Your role will be to edit raw footage into a full length podcast and several podcast clips. We already have strong brand guidelines and a style to follow. I have an entire tutorial prepared for how I edit these for you to follow.
