Hi. I'm going to be proposing to my girlfriend and I'm working on an illustrated book (effectively a children's picture book) as part of the proposal. The book will have approximately 10 key moments or locations from our past with some simple text overlay for the story. I have the 10 images in mind and am still finalizing the draft of the text. I assume the pictures will take far longer so wanted to see if I could get that started now. I am looking for digital illustration. I am not looking for watercolor per se, but I do seem to lean towards brighter, happier, and sometimes simpler color pallets. We can discuss this more before starting as I am not an artist and therefore am limited in how I know how to describe this. I have some example images that I like that I can share. The images are a mix of indoor and outdoor. I can share a lot more but I don't understand how public this post will be so I am only looking to share when in a real conversation with a potential artist. I can sketch out my expectations and provide relevant reference images, but I am also happy to leave portions to artist's discretion.
