Hello Viktor, I am a professional watercolor artist working on a tropical bird collection for a hospitality design project. I would like to book a consultation to discuss my concept, show you a few sketches, and see if my project would be a good fit for your skills. Thank you, and I look forward to speaking with you.
Seeking a freelance 2D game artist to create assets for a small indie game. The game features a stylized fairytale look with watercolor and soft cinematic lighting. I need character illustrations or sprites that are stylized and expressive. The ideal artist will have a portfolio aligning with fairytale aesthetics, experience with game assets, and strong communication skills. A paid test asset will be commissioned first, with potential for more work if it's a good fit. Please provide your day rate or per-asset pricing and typical turnaround time.
Logo Designer Needed – Build an Iconic Family Cabin Brand (Minnesota Wild Style)
Overview
I’m looking for a talented logo/brand designer to create an iconic logo for my family’s Minnesota cabin, Knutty Pines.
This is not a business logo. It is a family legacy project. The cabin has been in our family for nearly 100 years, and I want a timeless logo that could still be proudly used 50 years from now.
I’m not looking for another generic “rustic cabin badge” or AI-generated outdoor logo.
The design should feel intentional, symbolic, and memorable in the same way the Minnesota Wild logo does.
⸻
Design Inspiration
The Minnesota Wild logo is my primary inspiration—not because it has trees and wildlife, but because it tells a story through hidden symbolism.
I want a logo that rewards a second look.
Every element should have purpose.
⸻
Design Goals
The logo should communicate:
* Arrival
* Family history
* Minnesota
* Pine forests
* Lake life
* Quiet nostalgia
* A place that generations return to
It should feel more like an NHL team logo than a tourism illustration.
⸻
Required Elements
These are not optional.
1. Lake Minnewawa
The OUTER silhouette of the logo should be based on the actual outline of Lake Minnewawa (Aitkin County, Minnesota).
Please trace and simplify the shoreline into a clean vector silhouette rather than inventing or approximating it.
⸻
2. The Cabin
The cabin should be based on photos I provide.
It should be a small silhouette in the middle distance rather than the focal point.
It sits overlooking the lake.
⸻
3. Driveway
This is the emotional centerpiece.
The viewer is standing at the entrance to the property.
The driveway descends downhill through tall pine trees toward the cabin.
It should feel like arriving home.
Not hiking across a hillside.
⸻
4. Pine Trees
Large simplified pine masses should frame the composition.
Avoid illustrating dozens of individual trees.
Think in bold graphic shapes.
⸻
5. Loon
A tiny loon should sit far out on the lake.
Almost a hidden Easter egg.
⸻
6. Family Sign
I will provide photos of our handmade entrance sign.
The two hanging wooden boards should appear as a small foreground detail in the lower right, not the main focus.
People should discover it after looking for a few seconds.
⸻
Style
Looking for:
* Vector artwork
* Bold shapes
* Minimal detail
* Hidden symbolism
* Strong silhouette
* Timeless
* Embroidery friendly
* Works in one color
* Works at small sizes
* Professional sports branding quality
Please avoid:
* Clip art
* Generic rustic logos
* Vintage National Park poster style
* Watercolor
* Photorealism
* AI-looking scenery
* Overly detailed illustrations
⸻
Deliverables
* Primary logo
* One-color version
* Simplified embroidery version
* AI (Adobe Illustrator)
* SVG
* EPS
* PDF
* Transparent PNG
* Color palette
* Typography recommendations
⸻
Process
I’d like to work collaboratively.
Instead of jumping into finished artwork, I’d like to see:
1. 10–20 thumbnail composition sketches
2. 3–5 refined concepts
3. One final vector logo
The goal is to develop an iconic mark—not simply decorate a scene.
⸻
Please Include
When applying, include:
* Sports logos
* Outdoor brand identities
* National park or heritage branding
* Any work with hidden symbolism
* Your favorite logo you’ve ever designed and why
⸻
Budget
Flexible for the right designer.
Quality and originality matter much more than speed.

I'm looking for an experienced children's book illustrator to bring my first picture book to life. This project will be the first in a planned series with recurring characters, so I'm hoping to build a long-term working relationship with the right illustrator.
The story follows two main characters—a little girl and her grandmother—whose appearances will be inspired by real reference photos while maintaining a charming, expressive illustrated style. I have reference images and simple mock-ups to help communicate my vision.
Project Details
Approximately 32 pages (including front matter and cover; final layout to be confirmed)
Full-colour illustrations
Two recurring main characters
Warm, soft, timeless illustration style
Soft digital watercolor preferred (or a similar hand-painted aesthetic)
No AI-generated or AI-assisted artwork
Scope of Work
I'm looking for someone who can assist with the full illustration process, including:
Character design and expression sheets
Rough sketches/storyboard for approval
Final full-colour illustrations
Cover illustration
Page layout/typesetting (or experience working with print-ready layouts)
Print-ready files suitable for Amazon KDP and IngramSpark
Please Include in Your Proposal
1) A link to your children's book portfolio
2) Examples of books you've illustrated
3) Your illustration process
4) Estimated timeline
5) Number of revisions included
6) Whether commercial rights are included
7) Whether the artwork can be reused for translated editions of the same book
8)Your fixed-price quote for the complete project
This book is intended to be the first in a series, so I'm looking for someone who values consistency in character design and is interested in the possibility of collaborating on future books.

OVERVIEW
We're a small, design-led brand looking for a talented illustrator to create a set of three original collage illustrations for a physical product line. This is our first project with a new artist, and if it goes well, there's strong potential for ongoing, regular work.
THE WORK
Three illustrated collage compositions that read as a cohesive set: a shared visual language, palette, and mood, with each having its own distinct artwork and composition. Each collage should be built entirely from original illustrated elements, and ideally those individual elements should also stand well on their own so they can be reused elsewhere.
THE FEELING WE'RE GOING FOR
Overall tone:
- Romantic and dreamy
- Classic and vintage
- Bookish
- Whimsical, but grounded
- Sophisticated, not overly playful or cartoonish
Themes to draw from:
- Night sky and stars
- Gardens, roses, botanicals
- Books, reading, writing
- Gentle fantasy elements
- A romantic atmosphere throughout
YOU'D BE A STRONG FIT IF YOU:
Can thoughtfully combine:
- Digital illustration: sketch, watercolor, oil-painting, or textured styles
- Vintage or hand-drawn sketch elements
- Layered collage composition (paying attention to balance, spacing, and layering)
- Pattern and decorative details
- Typography or calligraphic touches (vintage book-page elements, for example)
Are comfortable delivering print-ready files (CMYK, with bleed and crop marks) as well as layered source files
Create 100% original work (no stock elements and no AI-generated components)
Are open to a full copyright assignment of the commissioned work (we can share the specifics)
DELIVERABLES
Artwork: 3 final designs, each adapted to 3 sizes (9 files in total)
To be clear about scope: this is three designs, not nine. Sizes 1 and 2 differ by only a sixteenth of an inch, so that adaptation is essentially a trim. Size 3 is a little more involved, and there's a note on it below.
Sizing:
Size 1: 4.375 in W x 6.25 in L
Size 2: 4.3125 in W x 6.25 in L
Size 3: 3.75 in W x 5.625 in L
There is a circular ring element that will be centered on all three and it does not scale with the size: always about 2.125 inches across at the outer edge, with a 1.75 inches open center.
That detail is what makes Size 3 more than a simple resize. Since the ring stays the same size while the design gets smaller, it takes up proportionally more room on Size 3. Anything you compose to sit neatly beside the ring on Size 1 may end up partly beneath it once scaled down. Just something to keep in mind early on in the design process!
Files:
- Print-ready PDF for each design and size: CMYK, 300 DPI minimum, with bleed and crop marks.
- High-resolution raster files (PNG or TIFF) at 600 DPI at final size, for our own listings and marketing.
- Editable, layered source files (Illustrator or Procreate preferred). Vector elements are a lovely bonus where they suit your process, since they scale infinitely. That said, please prioritize whatever way of working gets the right feel.
TO APPLY
We'd love to see examples of your work that show these skills:
- Vintage or hand-drawn illustration
- Digital painting / illustration (watercolor, oil-painting, or textured styles)
- Layered collage composition
- Working with pattern and decorative details
- Typography or calligraphic touches
You don't need to have done a project like this before, we're mainly looking to see that you have these skills in your toolkit. As a bonus, if you have anything that already lives in a romantic, dreamy, vintage, bookish sort of world, we'd love to see it, but that's not required.
A quick note on your rate for a set of three original illustrations with full copyright transfer would be helpful too.
We're excited to find the right person and hopefully build a lasting working relationship!

Hi,
I am launching a new premium clothing brand in the United States and am looking for an experienced apparel technical designer for a long-term partnership.
If this project goes well, I plan to continue working with you on hoodies, polos, joggers, shorts, sweatshirts, jackets, and future apparel collections.
These tech packs will be used for manufacturing with overseas factories (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and China), so they must be detailed enough that an experienced factory can manufacture the garments without additional clarification.
After hiring, I will provide the editable Adobe Illustrator (.AI) logo file along with any additional brand assets required to complete the tech packs.
Please create specifications for the following three branding options for each T-shirt.
Version 1 – Signature Tee
• Small embroidered logo only
• Left chest
• Premium luxury appearance
Version 2
• Small logo on the left chest
• Brand name directly underneath the logo
• Please recommend whether embroidery or premium screen printing is the better production method.
Version 3 – Brand Tee
• Logo centered on the chest
• Brand name directly underneath the logo
• Please recommend the best premium printing method (High-Density Print, Silicone Print, Premium Screen Print, etc.).
Please include exact logo dimensions and placement measurements from the neckline and centerline.
Please design a premium-quality T-shirt with a modern Regular Fit suitable for the U.S. market.
The garment should have:
• Premium construction and finishing
• Excellent fit and comfort
• Consistent U.S. sizing
• Soft, durable fabric suitable for repeated washing
• High-quality stitching and craftsmanship
• Clean, professional appearance
• Premium retail quality
I do NOT want an oversized fit or a slim fit.
Please use your professional expertise to develop production-ready tech packs that meet these expectations.
• Stitch Types
• Seam Construction
• Collar Construction
• Sleeve Construction
• Hem Construction
• Shoulder Construction
• Neck Tape
• Rib Specifications
• Thread Specifications
• SPI (Stitches Per Inch), if applicable
I am looking for a long-term technical designer. If this project goes well, I will continue working with you on future apparel products, including hoodies, polos, sweatshirts, joggers, shorts, jackets, and other apparel.
Please also let me know:
• Do you provide fit reviews after the factory produces the first sample?
• Do you provide measurement grading support?
• Do you assist with production revisions if changes are required before bulk manufacturing?
• Are you comfortable working under a confidentiality agreement (NDA)? My brand name, logo, and design files will be shared only after hiring.
• Approximately how many days will it take to complete all five tech packs?
Thank you for your time. I look forward to reviewing your proposal and hopefully building a long-term partnership.

2. Your portfolio.
3. Tell me about your experience illustrating books for ages 2–5.
4. Your estimated timeline for completing a 28-page picture book.
5. Your fixed-price quote.
Bonus
Experience illustrating humorous children's books or bestselling picture books is a big plus.
I'm looking for someone I can build a long-term relationship with because I plan to create a series of children's books if this project is successful.
I don't want to copy the exact illustrations of the above books. They are just inspirations. I want my works to be original. Thank you so much.
I want to create a paint-by-numbers coloring book for adults. I already have the 50 images and want to convert them. Can you do this work for me? If so, how much would it cost?

Hi! I'm working on a passion project teaching kids (and grown-ups) about somatics. That's the practice of noticing and communicating with our own bodies and the world around us. One of the ways I'm bringing this to life is through a small series of illustrated children's books.
The books are currently in draft form with placeholder boxes standing in for the art, and I'm looking to bring a real illustrator into the process.
There are three books in the series so far:
- The Inside Game (interoception)
- The Outside Game (exteroception)
- The Moving Game (proprioception)
Each one has a reference PDF with a character guide, color palette, and full list of illustrations needed, sized as they'll appear in the finished book. I'll share these with applicants I'm speaking with.
What I'm looking for to start:
Pick any one illustration from any of the three books and show me your take on it. A sketch, a style test, whatever feels right to you. This isn't a spec work trap, it's a paid task, and there's no wrong answer. I just want to see how you'd bring these characters and moments to life.
Please note: no AI generated images. I'm looking for hand drawn or digitally illustrated work created by you.
Feel free to ask me anything about the story, the characters, or the overall vibe I'm going for before you get started.
Budget: $40 to $75 fixed price, depending on the complexity of the illustration you choose
Timeline: 4 days
Skills needed: Children's book illustration, character design, digital illustration

Project Overview
We are seeking an experienced and talented Children’s Picture Book Illustrator to bring to life a heartwarming, quiet 32-page picture book titled BESIDE PAPA (~450 words).
The story follows a young girl named Henley and her grandfather, Papa Jack, as they travel through a bustling central bus station hub. Through subtle, emotional beats and sensory moments, Henley learns about empathy and quiet generosity.
A fully structured 12-spread dummy breakdown with art direction is already complete. We are looking for an artist who excels at emotional expression, character consistency, and storytelling through color and white space.
Art Style & Aesthetic Guidelines
Style: Whimsical, soft watercolor washes layered with delicate, sketchy colored pencil detail.
Tone: Emotional, cozy, observational, and warm.
Setting: Begins at home and moves through a central bus station hub- featuring an indoor waiting hall, ticket counter windows, overhead architecture, and glass doors leading to covered bus boarding platforms- before ending inside a city bus.
Color Temperature Motif (Crucial): The illustration style relies heavily on lighting and color temperature to convey emotion:
The "Warm World": Soft, golden amber/peach watercolor washes frame Henley whenever she feels safe and snug beside Papa Jack.
The "Outside World": Muted slate blues, teals, and graphite greys represent the grand, busy transit terminal and commuters.
The Payoff: The golden warmth expands outward as Henley chooses empathy.
Project Scope & Deliverables
The project will cover a standard 12 double-page spreads.
Character Character Design Sheet: Turnarounds and emotional expressions for Henley (approx. 5 years old, wearing signature red sneakers), Papa Jack (elderly, black/silver hair, soft knit cardigan), and the lonely young boy on the bus.
Pencil Sketches: Storyboard thumbnail sketches for all 12 spreads (based on the provided dummy layout).
Color Test / Sample Spread: 1 fully rendered spread to lock in color temperature, texture, and character consistency before completing the book.
Final Rendered Artwork: 12 double-page spreads + front/back matter vignettes delivered as high-resolution (300 DPI), print-ready CMYK files (layered PSDs and TIFF/PDFs).
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
Proven portfolio of published children’s picture books or equivalent quality.
Mastery of digital or traditional watercolor / colored pencil textures.
Strong ability to convey deep child emotion through subtle body language (e.g., foot position, hand clutching, shoulder posture) without relying on exaggerated cartooning.
Clear understanding of picture book gutters, bleed, and formatting for print (KDP / IngramSpark / traditional print standards).
Strong communication, responsiveness, and commitment to milestones.
Application Requirements
When applying, please include:
Portfolio / Links: Direct links to your children's book illustrations (specifically showcase any watercolor, soft pencil, or emotional/cozy style work).
Relevant Experience: Briefly mention picture books you have previously illustrated or formatted for print.
Approach Note: Tell us in 2–3 sentences how you would approach using color/light to show Henley's emotional shift from her cozy "small world" to opening up to others.
Estimated Timeline & Rate: Your estimated timeline to complete the 12 spreads and your fixed bid (or range) for the project.
Please note that all work for this project will be contracted on a Work-for-Hire basis, with full commercial publishing rights transferred to the publisher upon payment. The illustrator retains portfolio display rights.
Client's questions:
Will you be willing to contract for the cover art design as well?
Our goal is to publish by November 18th. Does this fit within your production window?

Looking for a custom watercolor logo and brand crest/monogram for my photography business! Have a rough design that I made, but looking for something custom and in a faded watercolor style. Also looking for color recommendations for backgrounds/color versions of the logo, as well as final black and white vector files.
hi, I have a jiu jitsu academy, I would like to design a book for the kids (3 to 5 years old), the book should be fun and exciting, and also teach the kids the importance of training jiu jitsu martial arts and all the benefits you get from training.
Looking for a watercolor illustrator who can create 8 small illustrations right away for a printed card for teen girls about Israel.
The illustrations will be printed quite small, so they should be simple, colorful, charming, and immediately recognizable — not detailed or complicated. To get an idea of what size I'll be printing these illustrations, see the words on the attached file.
We need:
Falafel — falafel in a pita
Bus — Israeli-style bus
Market / Shuk — colorful Israeli market stall
Yalla! / Let’s go! — sneakers in motion
How much is this? — small price tag with a question mark
Sababa! / Cool! Awesome! — thumbs-up
Beach — simple sunny beach/wave
Ice cream — ice cream cone
All 8 should have a fun, youthful watercolor feel and look like one cohesive set.
Need right away — my designer is waiting for the illustrations. Please send samples of your watercolor work, your price for all 8, and how quickly you can deliver.
This is a project for a nonprofit organization. We are working with a modest budget and would greatly appreciate an illustrator who can offer us a nonprofit-friendly rate for this small project.
I'm looking for a 2D animator to contribute to a short film built around a real historical event: in 1926, Polish schoolchildren sent a hand-written thank-you letter to America, 30,000 pages and 5.5 million signatures, gathered in gratitude for American aid after WWI. The film weaves archival pages, watercolor landscapes, and a symbolic seagull carrying the letter across the ocean, contrasting the aftermath of war in Britain with the warmth of a Polish schoolroom.
This posting is for a small paid sample commission that could lead into a defined ongoing role on the film.
The brief: From a curated set of real 1926 archival pages, pick one thing, one object, one person, one flower, one frame, and animate it. This is less a technical test than a chance to show your own interpretive instinct with archival, painterly material. There's no single correct answer; I want to see what you see when you look at these pages.
What I'm looking for:
Demonstrated experience with watercolor, mixed-media, archival photo/paper, or otherwise painterly animation, not vector or motion-graphics-style work
Comfortable delivering a QuickTime .mov in ProRes 4444 with alpha channel, 16:9, minimum 1920x1080, 24fps, plus a flat .mp4 and a full-resolution still frame
No generative AI in anything that appears on screen in the final piece (AI is fine for your own research or process, not the deliverable)
Timeline & payment: Sample delivery by Saturday, August 8. $50 for the sample piece, a gesture toward your time rather than a market rate. If your sample fits the film, further commissioned work moves to standard per-scene project rates. Credit by name guaranteed regardless of whether the sample makes the final cut.
To apply: Please include a link to your reel or portfolio with an emphasis on any watercolor, mixed-media, or archival-material work, along with your rate for a short animated piece at this scope.
I’m building a premium printable publishing brand called Beyond.
The vision is to create timeless, beautifully designed guides that help women navigate motherhood, home, homeschooling, wellness, and faith with confidence and intention.
This is not a typical Etsy printable project.
I’m looking for a talented designer who can help me build the visual foundation of an entire publishing brand.
The final result should feel like opening a beautifully designed guidebook—not downloading a generic printable.
⸻
The Vision
Imagine a blend of:
• Kinfolk Magazine
• Papier
• Appointed
• Penguin Books
• Apple product guides
• Modern editorial magazines
The design should feel:
✔ Editorial
✔ Premium
✔ Timeless
✔ Calm
✔ Sophisticated
✔ Warm
✔ Minimal
✔ Organized
Please avoid:
✘ Generic Canva templates
✘ Boho aesthetics
✘ Watercolor florals
✘ Busy layouts
✘ Cute or childish design
✘ Trendy designs that will quickly become outdated
I already have concept mockups and creative direction that will be shared with the selected freelancer. These are meant to communicate the vision—not to be copied exactly. I’m looking for someone who can elevate the concept into a polished, original design system.
⸻
About the Brand
The brand is called Beyond.
Each guide belongs to a larger collection.
Examples include:
Beyond Pregnancy
Beyond Birth
Beyond Postpartum
Beyond Baby
Beyond Home
Beyond Homeschool
Beyond Faith
The goal is that every guide instantly looks like part of the same family while using subtle color coding for each collection.
⸻
Project Goal
I am NOT hiring someone to create one printable.
I am hiring someone to create a reusable design system that will allow me to build hundreds of future products.
Everything should be designed with scalability in mind.
⸻
Scope of Work
Phase One: Brand Identity
Please create:
• Primary logo
• Secondary logo
• Brand mark/icon
• Color palette
• Typography recommendations
• Mini style guide
⸻
Phase Two: Cover Templates
Create reusable cover templates for:
• Pregnancy
• Birth
• Postpartum
• Baby
• Home
• Homeschool
• Faith
Each collection should maintain the same layout while using its own accent color.
⸻
Phase Three: Interior Templates
Please create Canva templates for:
• Standard checklist page
• Notes page
• Journal page
• Resource page
• Quote page
• Divider page
• Two-column layout
• Three-column layout
• Timeline page
• Reference page
The pages should all work together as a cohesive publishing system.
The goal is for me to drag and drop these pieces into future guides.
⸻
Deliverables
All deliverables MUST be created in Canva Pro.
Please provide:
• Editable Canva templates
• Canva Brand Kit
• Organized Canva file
• Cover templates
• Interior page templates
• Reusable components
• Color palette
• Typography guide
• Brand style guide
Everything should be fully editable.
I want to duplicate a template, replace the text, and create an entirely new guide without redesigning pages.
⸻
Design Direction
The brand should feel like a boutique publishing company rather than a printable shop.
I want the guides to have:
• Elegant typography
• Plenty of whitespace
• Thin divider lines
• Editorial layouts
• Clean iconography
• Simple color accents
• Premium book-inspired design
The goal is for customers to feel like they are opening a beautifully designed field guide.
⸻
What I’m Looking For
The ideal freelancer has experience with:
• Editorial design
• Workbook or planner design
• Print layout
• Canva Pro
• Brand identity
• Typography
• Publishing
Please include examples of similar work in your proposal.
⸻
Budget
Fixed Price: $300
This is intended to become a long-term relationship.
Once this design system is complete, I plan to create dozens (and eventually hundreds) of additional guides and would love to continue working with the same designer.
⸻
To Apply
Please begin your proposal with the word Beyond so I know you’ve read the entire description.
Also include:
* 3–5 examples of relevant editorial, workbook, planner, or publishing projects.
* A brief explanation of how you would approach creating a scalable design system rather than individual printables.
* Your estimated timeline.

Hello! I have 6 watercolor illustrations that need to be vectorized. One may need help with fixing the watercolor slightly? They will be put on merchandise so the client needs to be able to make them as big or small as needed. Thank you for your consideration! I have scanned them in, but I dont know if they look better from the photo from the phone vs. the scan.
some may also need to be adjusted for color?
I have attached the scanned ones AND the photo ones but could not upload the last lobster pic.
Thank you!

Recreate Existing Logo into Production-Ready Vector (Adobe Illustrator)

I have an approved logo that now needs to be rebuilt from the ground up in Adobe Illustrator so it is truly production-ready. I will supply the reference artwork; your task is to translate it into a clean, perfectly scaled vector while preserving 90-95 % of the original look and feel. Subtle refinements that improve line quality, spacing, or overall craftsmanship are welcome as long as the design remains immediately recognizable.
Recreate the citrus icon as clean vector artwork.
Maintain:
Scalloped rind
Citrus segments
Organic handcrafted feel
Balanced symmetry
I understand true watercolor textures cannot be reproduced as vector artwork.
Instead:
Recreate the look using tasteful gradients and clean vector shading.
Preserve the warmth and handcrafted feel.
Avoid glossy, metallic, plastic, or overly digital effects.
The final artwork should feel refined and premium while remaining faithful to the reference.
Subtle simplification is encouraged where it improves scalability while preserving the original appearance.
Color accuracy is critical: please lift the exact hues from the reference and apply them consistently throughout the artwork. When finished, I’ll need the logo exported to EPS, SVG, and PDF for seamless use across both print and digital media, including signage, embroidery, apparel, and web.
Acceptance criteria
• Visual match within the stated tolerance
• Crisp, editable paths with logical layer naming
• Correct color values embedded

-Archivo editable (PSD, AI, o Procreate).
-Derechos de uso comercial (transferencia de copyright).
-Presupuesto: Abierto a negociar según experiencia y propuesta (orientativo 20-100€).
Cómo postular:
-Portfolio con personajes infantiles (imprescindible).
-Breve propuesta de estilo para Trapotín.
-Tarifa por el proyecto.
Looking for a watercolor illustrator who can create 8 small illustrations right away for a printed card for teen girls about Israel.
The illustrations will be printed quite small, so they should be simple, colorful, charming, and immediately recognizable — not detailed or complicated.
We're creating a new hot sauce line, themed around different mountain peaks. We're looking for a designer for the first sauce in this line, with the possibility of future work as we expand it.
The label: A watercolor-style landscape painting of Mount Diablo (the Bay Area peak) at sunset, with a burning red sun, serving as the full front label, with the sauce name (Mount Diablo Hot Sauce) and supporting text designed into the composition. The mood we're after is intense and a little ominous, but painterly and beautiful. Think dramatic wine label art, not cartoon "XXX EXTREME" hot sauce cliches. We want the heat communicated through atmosphere, color, and light rather than gimmicks. We don't mind AI tools for incidentals like mocking up the label on a bottle, but we're specifically trying to avoid the AI art look.
Scope for this job:
-One complete front label design: watercolor (or watercolor-style digital) landscape of Mount Diablo at sunset, composed to integrate the title and supporting text
-Typography for the sauce name and a short descriptor line, designed to sit naturally in the artwork (we'll supply our existing logo and required copy; text needs are simple)
-Print-ready deliverables: high-resolution layered file plus flattened export to our label dimensions (dieline provided at kickoff), CMYK-appropriate
To apply, please include a link to the single piece in your portfolio closest to this brief. Ideally a finished label or packaging piece featuring your own painted landscape artwork with typography.
I have a completed manuscript, a locked storyboard, detailed art direction, and visual references. I need an illustrator to execute 16 full-bleed watercolor-style spreads plus a cover. Layout is already being handled separately.

I'm looking for a talented illustrator to create 35 story-rich travel scenes for a “seek-and-find” (“hidden objects”) activity book for seniors.
Unlike traditional hidden-object books that simply scatter random items across a page, this project focuses on creating beautiful locations filled with typical elements, interesting people, everyday moments and small stories.
Readers won't just search for objects, they'll explore the illustration, notice details, count items, discover patterns and enjoy spending time inside each scene. My goal is to create scenes that genuinely capture the atmosphere and character of each destination.
Each illustration should feel alive and reward curiosity.
The illustration itself should always come before the hidden objects.
The hidden objects should be naturally integrated into the environment, becoming part of the scene rather than immediately standing out. They should feel like objects that genuinely belong there.
Rather than clustering most of the objects in the foreground, I'd like them to be thoughtfully distributed throughout the entire composition, using the foreground, middle ground, and background, to create a search that is engaging, fair, and rewarding.
I'm looking for illustrations with a strong sense of depth and visual flow that naturally guide the reader's eye across the entire page.
DESIGNED FOR SENIORS
Although the illustrations should be rich and engaging, they should not feel crowded or overwhelming.
Because the book is intended for seniors, many readers may have reduced eyesight. Rather than filling every corner with tiny details, I'd prefer fewer, more meaningful elements that are clearly recognizable.
The focus should be on quality over quantity - creating scenes with enough visual interest to hide objects naturally, while keeping the artwork comfortable and enjoyable to explore.
The hidden objects should be challenging because they blend into the environment, not because they are tiny or lost in visual clutter.
For each illustration, I will provide:
* the destination (for example Venice, Marrakesh...)
* a list of objects that should naturally appear in the scene
* the overall mood and atmosphere
* visual references (an AI created scene for inspiration)
LOOKING FOR:
I'm looking for someone who enjoys creating lively environments filled with atmosphere, storytelling, depth, character and many small moments happening throughout the illustration.
The workflow is flexible (traditional illustration, Photoshop, Procreate, AI-assisted, or a combination), as long as the final artwork is original, consistent, and allows for revisions if needed. Size: 8,5 x 11 inch, 300 dpi.
I'm looking for a long-term collaboration, so I'd like to start with one paid test illustration to make sure we're a good fit before committing to the full project.
PLEASE INCLUDE IN YOUR PROPOSAL:
* A few examples of illustrations or environments that are similar in style to this project (travel scenes, detailed environments, children's books, hidden-object books, or scene compositions).
* A brief description of your workflow (Procreate, Photoshop, AI-assisted, etc.).
* Your price for one paid test illustration, including one round of revisions.
* Your estimated price for the complete project (approximately 35 illustrations). If you normally work per illustration, please include your per-illustration rate as well.
* Your estimated turnaround time for both the test illustration and the full project.
* Have you created illustrations that require viewers to actively search for details or hidden objects? If yes, please include examples.
Please don't use AI to write your proposal. I'd love to hear, in your own words, why you think you'd be a good fit for this project.
Thank you and looking forward to hearing from you!
