Hi! I'm Phillip Reynolds, a licensed clinical social worker. I'm publishing three handbooks on athlete mental wellness: one for coaches, one for parents, and one for athletes. Each book is built around 10 "Resilience Gaps," the places athletes are never trained for, like injury, pressure, social media, money, and the end of a career.

I need one illustration to open each gap chapter. The same 10 illustrations will appear in all three books.

WHAT I NEED
- 10 original, hand-drawn illustrations, one per gap. I've attached rough concept sketches and a short description of each scene, so you'll know exactly what each one should show.
- Style: black-and-white ink line art with simple cross-hatching. Detailed, but simple and clean. Editorial or graphic-novel feel, not cartoon or clip art.
- Real, diverse athletes: different races, young men and women, and different sports. No single sport should dominate.
- One visual thread through all 10: identity. Each scene should show the athlete is a whole person, not only a player. One idea is the athlete's shadow showing who they are outside the sport (a student, a musician, a big brother). I'm open to your ideas too.

SPECS
- Books are 7 x 10 in, printed in black and white. Each illustration is about 5.8 x 3.8 in.
- Deliver print-ready files (vector, or 600 dpi TIFF/PNG) plus source files.

IMPORTANT
- Must be drawn by a person (digital drawing is fine). No AI-generated images.
- Full commercial rights transfer to Copious Life, LLC (work for hire) for print, ebook, and marketing.

Reference mockups are attached (AI renders, for direction only).

Style: bold, hand-drawn cartoon with thick, slightly wobbly marker lines, flat bright colors and comic-style hand lettering. Fun and charming, not polished or slick. Portrait, 2.25" x 3.5".

WHO I'M LOOKING FOR

You should have:

- Strong doodling, illustration or simple character-drawing skills.
- Experience teaching drawing or explaining creative processes to beginners.
- The ability to make drawing feel approachable rather than intimidating.
- Clear verbal communication and the patience to explain each step.
- The ability to record a clean, well-lit demonstration or screen recording with understandable audio.
- Availability to complete the agreed scope on the required schedule.

Experience creating online courses is welcome, but DEMONSTRATED DRAWING AND TEACHING ABILITY MATTER MORE THAN GENERAL COURSE PRODUCTION EXPERIENCE.

You do not need to appear on camera. Overhead filming of your hand drawing on paper is acceptable, as is digital drawing with a clear screen recording.

BUDGET AND TIMELINE

Posted budget: $300 fixed price.

This is my target budget for the agreed scope. Please provide an itemised proposal explaining the deliverables you can provide for this amount. If your recommended approach requires a different budget, state your price and explain the difference in scope or value.

I will compare proposals based on teaching ability, quality, deliverables, price and speed, rather than price alone.

THE PROJECT IS URGENT (The intended delivery window is within 14 days of 16th October.).

- How many lessons and what supporting assets you can produce within that timeframe.
- Any dependencies that could delay delivery.

I MAY need time for review and essential corrections, if any, before the deadline. Please be realistic about what you can complete.

BEFORE FULL PRODUCTION

Shortlisted candidates will be asked to provide a short PAID sample lesson demonstrating a simple doodle from start to finish.

We'll assess the clarity of the teaching, the drawing process, recording quality and suitability for beginners.

Please state your sample fee, if applicable, and whether it can be credited towards the full project if selected.

ORIGINAL WORK AND AI USE

Original drawing demonstrations are essential. Learners must be able to see and understand how the drawings are created.

AI tools may be used for agreed supporting tasks, such as lesson planning or editing assistance, but generative AI must not replace the commissioned drawing demonstrations or substantially create or alter commissioned artwork, scripts or voice without my prior written approval.

Please disclose any proposed AI use and any subcontracting arrangements before work begins.

All commercial usage rights, deliverables, source files, revisions and payment milestones will be agreed in writing before full production.

HOW TO APPLY

2. Evidence of your experience teaching drawing, particularly to beginners.
3. A short explanation of how you would teach someone who believes they cannot draw to create their own doodle world.

I'm looking for someone who can make drawing accessible, enjoyable and achievable for people starting from scratch.

I want 2 colored pictures. I want someone who can perfectly imitate art western style. And only apply if you have no restrictions on what I can request drawn. I would prefer someone who can complete the job in around three days. The reference would be 2 images with at least three characters each with the characters I want you to draw on the left and their poses and instructions on the right. I am starting my own t-shirt company and have some pencil drawings that I need to be made into PNG for the printer. I also want to take the drawings and manipulate them.
