We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Robotics Software Engineer to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and optimizing sim2real algorithms for robots.

- Develop and optimize sim2real algorithms, including setting up simulation environments and adjusting algorithm models.

I just came back from South Africa, and after many conversations there, I thought I would inquire with a SA individual who is involved in robotics. I am looking for a win, win situation economically with a qualified person. I need to develop a way to automate the loading of paper to be scanned by a specialized log scanner. A "log scanner", scans long pieces of paper that are folded in accordion style. These "logs" can be 1/4 inch of folded paper, up to 2 inches. The paper is typically 6" by 8.5", but vary in size. The scanning is done by a person inserting one end of the paper into the log scanner, and the scanner pulls the rest of the log paper through the scanner automatically until the end is reached. IT IS NOT COMPLICATED AND A VERY SIMPLE PROCESS TO ACCOMPLISH. However; it is time consuming when you have many thousands you want to complete. I would like to replicate the actions of a person loading the scanner with an automated process. I have an idea now that would consist of loading a stack of logs separated by dividers in a conveyor belt type attachment. I could sketch out or video my crude thought process. This automation idea would allow the operator to load the dividers with logs and then wait for it to finish all that are in the stack, while continuing to load the dividers that were completed. Maybe 100 or more. If 4-5 scanners with robotics were in operation, hundreds or thousands could be captured digitally. I need to build a prototype that works well, and then have 4-5 more attachments built. Labor cost is expensive here in the U.S, even for this kind of low skill operation. I'm in need of a freelancer who is skilled in building stepper motors for a personal hobby project. Key considerations for your proposal should be:
