We have an existing 2D Unity rig for one of our characters, Jon. The rig was originally created for small, in-place animations such as talking, cheering, and eating.

For a new content series, we will need to use the character with more flexibility, including different angles, accessories, new mouth shapes, and a wider range of animations.

I need an animation designed for a flipbook and then inserted into my text manuscript. It will then be turned into a PDF and printed as a book where the reader will see the flipbook images move when they riffle the pages.

To clarify, this will be approximately 300 still images, which when combined will look like the image is a moving picture. The image will be a simple black and white drawing of a bird (white breasted nuthatch) flying off of a branch that grows as the bird flies.

What the video needs to show

The story is simple and emotional. An older adult gets an upsetting call or text and isn't sure what to do. They're unsure and a little scared. They reach out to our service, and it calmly reassures them and walks them through what's really going on and how to handle it. The arc is worry, then calm, then relief.

A few things that matter:


This is a voice-driven product, so the audio has to carry the emotional beats. We'll provide the voice audio for the demo.
We also want a short beat showing the text/image side: forwarding a message and getting a clear, helpful breakdown back. We can provide screen recordings for this, or you can build it as motion graphics.
Be accurate to how the product actually works. It's reactive: the person brings the situation to it, rather than it running in the background. Show that flow honestly. We don't want to oversell the mechanic.
The emotional center is the relationship between an older adult and their adult child or caregiver. The buyer watching this is often the worried son or daughter who can't be there every time the phone rings.
