I need two book covers designed for Amazon KDP as part of a series. The covers should follow a consistent theme across both books to create a cohesive look for the series. I’m looking for someone who can create polished, professional designs that are optimized for Amazon KDP and fit the overall branding of the series.

I have a PDF that is otherwise final, but a handful of the images are not correct. I need the existing graphics replaced with new ones new ones—no more than four in total. All text, layout, and page dimensions must remain exactly as they are; only the specified images change.

1. The image should just show the bag unfolded at the top with a receipt on it which would show the items that are to go in the bag. The slot or part of it would be visible. The slots on each bag are to be the same size.

2. The bag folded down twice would only have one line and not two.

3. The image should show the top of the bag folded down with only a single edge. The image should show the receipt on the back side of the bag since it hasn't been sealed yet.

4. The image should show the receipt now sealed together above the top of the bag and once again there is a single edge on the folded down bag. Some text or marks could indicate that's the receipt shows the content.

The circles need to be complete and consistent around the images. There appears to be boxes around the circles that conflice with the overall blue background that needs to be cleaned up.

This is actually being used to print a 4" x 6" digital label.

Please return:
• The updated, press-ready PDF with all replacements in place.
• A version of the file that retains editable layers (Acrobat, InDesign, or similar) so I can make future tweaks if needed

Accuracy is critical, so each new image must sit perfectly within its original frame without pixelation or cropping errors. Let me know which software you plan to use and your estimated turnaround time; speed is a plus, but precision is essential.

I already have a single 3D file that almost meets my needs, but before I send it to the printer I want to tighten up a few things.

• Resizing: Only the bottom part needs to change—dimensions must stay proportional to the rest of the piece so everything still fits together cleanly.
• Detail edits: While you are in the file, please add or remove any surface details that could cause overhang issues or unnecessary supports. I’m open to subtle suggestions that improve printability but keep the overall look intact.

All I need back is the corrected, watertight mesh in the same format you prefer to work with (STL, OBJ or STEP are all fine) plus a quick note on what you adjusted so I can track revisions.

I’ll load the file into Cura and do a final slice check, so as long as it passes without red error areas we’re good. If you can turn this around quickly, even better—my printer is already warmed up.

I need every selected Gmail message turned into a polished PDF that carries my official letterhead for professional correspondence. The finished file has to open with my company logo in place and retain the original email body, subject line, date, and sender/recipient fields exactly as they appear in Gmail.

A reusable workflow is essential—I’d like to click once (or run a short Google Apps Script) and receive a ready-to-send, letter-headed PDF without extra formatting. Adobe Acrobat or native Google Workspace tools are both fine, so long as the final output is consistent and printer-friendly.

Deliverables
• A PDF letterhead template that embeds my logo at the top of each page
• An automated method or clear, repeatable steps for exporting Gmail emails into that template
• A brief user guide so I can run the process myself whenever needed

Accuracy in branding and layout outweighs speed; the document has to look like it left official stationery, not an exported email. Let me know how you’ll approach the template setup inside Gmail and any third-party tools you plan to integrate.

TL;DR - Interior Book Designer (hourly) needed for self-published Amazon / KDP 8.25” x 11” hardcover and ePub family genealogy.

Approximately 74,000 words, 58 call-out boxes, and 381 images (photos, maps, legal documents, family trees, etc.) with captions. Transform the .DOCX manuscript into a printable book, including front matter (copyright, title page, …), images, chapter footnotes, TOC, chapter headers, font, overall structure/formatting, page breaks, splits, call out boxes, margins, etc.

Work will proceed in two separate phases (see below).

Background - This book is the culmination of more than 4 decades of research by my father, who is approaching 80 years old and has only basic technical know-how with computer word processing. We are looking for a professional who cares about every detail my father chose to include.

You - You consider yourself an artist. A craftsman. You won’t just copy/paste, you’ll make creative style decisions to produce a beautiful, polished book my father will give to family members and donate to local libraries in the towns where our family has lived over the centuries.

Style - You’ll use your creative eye to evoke a traditional, serious and professional tone without creating a “boring old textbook”. You’ll achieve cohesion, consistency, and legibility throughout. Artistic elements like drop caps or initial letters or other stylistic flourishes are desirable, as appropriate.

Font - Font should ensure legibility for aging eyes without exceeding the maximum page limit (550 pages?) for a KDP 8.25” x 11” Hardcover book. This suggests a larger font (at least 12pt).

Images (and boxes) - All images are embedded directly in the .DOCX manuscript in the order they should appear, relative to the text. There is NO master source file for the images. Many of the images are lower resolution than ideal. There are ~58 non-image callout boxes in the full manuscript (designated in blue text with this indicator “(((BOX ... )))”. You will use your judgment to balance legibility and resolution with the overall interior design, such as whether images/boxes require a surrounding border, backdrop, etc. The book will be published in premium color on white paper (unless you recommend otherwise).

Manuscript - the text has been professionally proof-read. If you notice any obvious errors, please call those out for attention (some text was modified post the professional proofing). Unfortunately, the manuscript itself is kind of a mess. It was written over many years, starting with a Microsoft Word template for a 6” x 9” book from an old KDP template and then edited using Google Docs. There are inconsistent styles, headings, formatting, TOC tags, spacing, page breaks, etc.

Details - As mentioned earlier, details matter to us. If you opt to bid for this project, please include this text in your reply: “I agree. The details matter.” For clarity - yes, please actually include that statement in your bid. Thank you for understanding.

Materials - We will provide access to the .DOCX manuscript for Phase 1 - all materials will be embedded inside the .DOCX file.

Deliverables - All interior content needed to upload to Amazon / KDP: 8.25” x 11” hardcover design and ePub design (for Kindle) as well as all source files, which should be developed using industry standard tools.

Phase 1 - This first bid is for only the forward content and first chapter of the book. This includes the Preface, Acknowledgements, Foreword, a page with a quote, the (likely hacked) Table of Contents, a Part One page, and Chapter 1. This first bid material contains approximately 5001 words, 29 images, and 7 call-out boxes. Note: Chapter 1 is one of the only chapters without end notes.

Phase 2 - The second phase will include the entire rest of the book and will be bid separately, once phase 1 is completed and approved.

We’re looking for a graphic designer to create visually appealing designs for our projects. The role involves developing concepts, refining layouts, and delivering polished final assets. You should be comfortable working independently, communicating clearly, and adapting to feedback. This is a part-time opportunity with potential for ongoing work for the right fit.
