I'm building a private villa in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and need concept design for an enclosed sunken courtyard. Construction completes end of 2026; the courtyard shell already exists.

The space

Floor area 15m × 7m, fully enclosed by walls rising 8m . open to the sky.

An elevated outdoor seating terrace, 4m × 6.5m, sits at the midpoint of one long side and overlooks the space from above. This is the primary viewpoint.

A majlis opens directly onto the courtyard floor through a large glass door, giving a second, very different viewpoint at ground level looking up.

Approximately 352 sqm of wall surface versus 105 sqm of floor. The walls, not the floor, are the design problem.

No pool required — there is already one elsewhere on the property.
Climate constraints
Riyadh: extreme summer heat, summer humidity often 10–15%, hard/saline mains water, occasional intense rainfall events. Because of the wall height, the floor receives no direct sun at midday in winter and only a brief near-vertical window in summer. Daylighting strategy, drainage capacity, air movement, and acoustics in an enclosed hard-surfaced shaft all need to be addressed, not just planting and furniture.
What I'm looking for
Concept design through to a level I can hand to a local contractor:

Two or three distinct design directions, with a written rationale for each
Developed design for the chosen direction: plan, sections, and elevations of all four walls
Photorealistic renders — minimum from the terrace viewpoint and from the majlis looking up, day and night
Material and finish schedule with specific product references
Lighting design (this is critical — the space is artificially lit for much of its usable life)
Planting plan appropriate to deep shade and arid conditions, with irrigation approach
Notes on drainage, ventilation, and maintenance access at height

Requirements

Demonstrated experience with courtyards, atria, or light wells — please show relevant work in your proposal

What makes a topic qualify

A topic is good if it hits most of these:


One-line hook that stops a scroll. If you cannot say it in a single arresting sentence, skip it.
It is real and documented. I need a source. No myths, legends, "ancient prophecies," or creepypasta.
It is specific. A named person, study, place, or year. Not "a man in some country once did a thing."
It flips an assumption or triggers disbelief. Counterintuitive, grotesque, absurd, or genuinely shocking.
It is self-contained. A hook, a turn, and a payoff you can tell in under 90 seconds.

The psychology greatest hits: Milgram, the Stanford Prison Experiment, the Marshmallow Test, unless you have a genuinely new angle no one uses.
Pure urban legends or cryptids with no factual basis, unless the documented story is the hoax itself.
Anything where the "twist" is already common knowledge.

I am looking for a mechanical/piping designer to create a simple P&ID and basic 3D layout for a compressed air system in a manufacturing facility.

Existing Equipment

* (2) 30 HP air compressors (one with tank, one without)
* (1) 15 HP air compressor with tank
* (3) air dryers
* (3) inline filters
* (1) final downstream filter

Requirements

The system should allow compressors, dryers, and filters to be isolated and bypassed as needed. Include appropriate valves, pressure gauges, and provisions so that any compressor, dryer, filter, or other major component can be easily removed for maintenance without requiring significant disassembly of the system.

The compressors will feed a common manifold, followed by the dryers, filters, and final filter before entering the plant air system.

Main manifold piping should be inch and a Main manifold piping should 1-1/4”. All branch piping is expected to be 1” pipe.

Project Title: Bending Jig and Ejector Mechanism (Pneumatic)
Project Overview:
I am looking for a mechanical designer to create a simple, custom fabrication fixture/jig. The machine needs to position a small flat metal part, bend a designated section, and then automatically eject the finished piece. I intend to fabricate the machine myself from the final blueprints. I have attached a rough sketch of what I had in mind. Some sort of part holder that the flat pieces can stack in. A way to push it over into the jig, form and eject. Ideally this machine can be turned on and it will run parts. Not sure how to add any safeties incase of a jam or issue.

Sketch is a concept and I am open to any design changes. Currently part just ejects out into a bucket/container.
Material & Part Specifications:
Stock Material: 14-gauge (~0.075" thick) carbon steel.
Blank Size: Approx 2” x 4” oval
Bending Operation: The machine needs to form a smooth 0.72" radius bend on a 1/2" wide strip/arm located on the part.
Required Machine Sequence:
Move: Move the 4" x 2" flat blank into the bending jig nest.
Bend: Form the .72" radius bend on the 1/2" wide strip section.
Eject: Automatically eject the finished part out of the jig.
Component Constraints (Design around existing hardware):
To minimize my material costs, the design must be built around a specific pneumatic cylinder I already own.
Cylinder Specs: 1-1/2" Bore, 3" Stroke pneumatic cylinder - mid‑trunnion mount
Operating Pressure: Standard shop air (~90 PSI).
Please utilize standard, off-the-shelf catalog mounting hardware (e.g., McMaster-Carr or similar) for the cylinder brackets and pivots.
Wear parts, like the fixture, please design with 3/8" Material. I have 3/8" AR500 plate I will use.
I have a CNC Laser and Fab shop, so custom metal design is fine, as I will fabricate in house.

We’re looking for an experienced Autodesk Inventor 3D modeller with a strong understanding of RHS and SHS steel frame construction. The work includes modelling posts, beams, rafters, brackets, plates and complete assemblies from drawings and reference information. The models will later be used with C++ automation, so they need to be structured consistently and remain stable when dimensions change.
