Project Overview

This project involves completing the migration of our existing WooCommerce e-commerce site to the Shopify platform. The migration was previously begun by other developers, and we need a skilled freelancer to pick up where they left off and ensure the project is completed by 8/31/24.

Project Goals

1. Seamlessly complete the migration of all existing data from WooCommerce to Shopify.
2. Ensure the new Shopify site matches the current site’s design aesthetics while leveraging Shopify’s features.
3. Optimize the Shopify site for performance, SEO, and user experience.
4. Ensure all e-commerce functionalities are fully operational post-migration.

Deliverables

1. Review and Assessment
- Conduct a thorough review of the work completed by the previous developers.
- Identify any gaps, issues, or areas that require additional work.

2. Data Migration Completion
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of data already migrated.
- Complete the migration of any remaining product data, customer data, order history, and other relevant data from WooCommerce to Shopify.
- Test and ensure all data is correctly migrated and functioning as intended.

3. Design and Theme Customization
- Review the current Shopify theme customization progress.
- Complete the customization to ensure brand consistency and an enhanced user experience.
- Ensure the site is fully responsive and optimized for mobile devices.

4. Functionality and Features Implementation
- Review and configure all necessary Shopify apps and integrations to match the functionality of the current WooCommerce site.
- Ensure payment gateways, shipping options, and tax settings are correctly configured and functional.
- Implement SEO best practices, including URL redirects, metadata, and alt tags.

5. Testing and Quality Assurance
- Conduct comprehensive testing of the site to ensure all functionalities work as intended.
- Perform cross-browser and device compatibility testing.
- Address and resolve any bugs or issues identified during the testing phase.

6. Launch and Post-Launch Support
- Coordinate the site launch to minimize downtime and ensure a smooth transition.
- Monitor the site post-launch and address any issues that arise.
- Provide training and documentation on using the Shopify platform.

Project Timeline

The project must be completed by 8/31/24. A detailed timeline with milestones will be established during the initial consultation phase, ensuring all tasks are aligned to meet this deadline.

We have it installed with the integration. GTM fires on all the other pages. EXCEPT the checkout and thank you pages.
