My partner and I are building Adria, a luxury yoga and wellness retreat brand. We thought we have a clear picture of the brand and the aesthetic, but we’ve hit a point where we’re wrestling with some big strategic decisions and we’d really value an outside expert opinion before we commit. The main thing we’re stuck on is the model and pricing. The villa has 11 rooms, and we’re torn between two directions:

• Go bigger: 22 women, two per room, priced around €3.2–3.6k per person depending on the room. More of a “full” retreat.
• Go exclusive: 11 women, one per room, priced around €6–10k per person, where we go all-in on high touch service (private transport, premium amenities, basically whatever they want). Positioning this as executive wellness.

Both have, in our opinion, pluses and minuses. For example, we believe that “mass” retreat is probably easier to promote and customer market pool is bigger. On the other side there is a lot more logistics to handle with more expenses. Exclusivity can have better margins and less friction once we are credible, but market pool is much smaller.
