We’re seeking a production artist to support screen print projects from concept to final production files. You’ll review artwork, prepare files for print, separate colors accurately, and ensure files are clean, organized, and ready for production. This role also includes collaborating with designers and printers to resolve issues, improve file quality, and maintain consistency across projects. Ideal candidates should be detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working independently while meeting deadlines. This is a long-term opportunity for someone who can help streamline the production workflow and deliver high-quality print-ready files.
I have a 9-page Word document containing an executive profile and 7 case studies that needs professional formatting and elegant design. The final document should use my corporate font, logo, and brand colors to create a polished, easy-to-read layout. The goal is to improve readability, structure, and overall presentation while maintaining a clean, corporate look. Please share relevant examples of similar document formatting or design work.
Client's questions:
Describe your recent experience with similar projects
I am looking to hire a CAD designer to build a 1:1 scale parametric Fusion 360 assembly model (.f3d) for a custom automotive chassis project. I have a rough hand-drawn sketch with basic dimensions ready to share.
Here are the project specs:
• Project Type: Custom Mini Semi Rat Rod Chassis
• Chassis Material: Rectangular steel tubing (heavy wall)
• Wheelbase: 168 inches
• Engine: Blown Big Block Chevy (BBC)
• Axles: Heavy-duty single rear axle setup (full-size semi axle)
• Front Tires: 295/60R22.5 (approx. 36" tall x 11.5" wide)
• Rear Tires: 445/50R22.5 Super-Singles (approx. 40" tall x 17.5" wide)
Design Requirements:
1. Lay-Frame Geometry: The chassis must sit completely on the ground ("lay frame") when the air suspension deflates.
2. Frame Kicks & Clearances: Front and rear Z-cuts/step-notches are required to clear the large semi axles. The rear frame section must be narrowed so the 17.5-inch wide super-singles don't rub.
3. Suspension Layout: Design a heavy-duty, custom Triangulated 4-Link suspension for the single rear axle paired with air ride mounts (no Panhard bar).
4. Drivetrain Packaging: Ensure adequate clearance for the oil pan, transmission bellhousing, and steering shaft around the engine.
Deliverables Needed:
• Complete Fusion 360 assembly model (.f3d)
• Animation/motion study checking suspension travel for binding or tire interference
• Dimensional blueprint drawings and a complete steel fabrication cut-list
Please let me know your estimated turnaround time and quote for a project like this. Looking forward to hearing from you!
Thank you

Engineering & Architecture, Energy & Mechanical Engineering
We are looking for someone to grade slide decks against a reference design system and explain the grades in writing. You will receive a reference deck and a batch of candidate decks. For each candidate you assign a score on a 1 to 7 scale based on how closely it follows the reference, then write a short rationale of three to four sentences explaining the match and the gaps.
Most of the work is visual judgment. You are looking at typography, spacing, color palette, layout structure, visual hierarchy, polish, readability, and overall consistency. The standard is not pixel matching. The question is whether the candidate looks like it came out of the same design system as the reference. A good looking deck in a different style scores lower than a plainer deck that nails the reference.
The other half is writing. Rationales need to be specific and cite actual slides, not general praise. They also need to follow a fixed house voice: plain prose, short declarative sentences, problems before positives, no bullet points, no em dashes, and nothing that reads like it was written by a chatbot. Grades within a batch have to be spread across the range rather than clustered, so you need to be comfortable ranking decks against each other even when several are close.
What we look for
A real eye for design, whether from formal training or just heavy exposure to professional decks. Enough familiarity with typography and layout to name what is off instead of saying it feels wrong. Clear, natural writing. The discipline to follow a rubric exactly, including the parts you might personally disagree with. Consistency across a long batch, since the tenth deck has to be graded on the same standard as the first. Comfort working on a timer, since tasks are often capped around 45 minutes.
Nice to have
Background in graphic design, marketing, consulting, or finance. Experience with investor decks, pitch decks, or corporate templates. Prior data annotation or content moderation work.
We’re seeking a creative designer to create polished magazine layouts for a publication. The ideal freelancer will translate editorial content into visually engaging pages, maintain consistency across spreads, and deliver clean, professional designs ready for print. You should be comfortable working with existing brand elements, refining page structure, and ensuring readability and visual hierarchy. Experience producing publication-ready layouts for magazines or similar print projects is important. Please share relevant portfolio samples that demonstrate your ability to create strong editorial layouts.
Scope of Work: Custom Automated Ultrasonic Anti-Bark Deterrent Device
1. Project Overview.
The objective of this project is to design, prototype, and deliver a fully functional, automated, high-frequency ultrasonic anti-bark device. The device must automatically detect a dog’s bark within a specific range, filter out ambient noise, and immediately trigger a short, directional, high-frequency acoustic deterrent (22 kHz to 25 kHz) to train the dog to stop excessive barking.
2. Technical Specifications & Requirements
The Freelancer/Engineer must design the system to meet the following criteria: Detection Mechanism: Electret microphone system with active filtering. The system must feature an adjustable sensitivity threshold (via an onboard potentiometer or software trimmer) to isolate a standard dog bark profile (typically 200 Hz to 2,000 Hz) and minimize false triggers from wind, traffic, or wildlife.
Acoustic Output: High-intensity directional output via a Piezoelectric horn/transducer capable of sustained delivery at 22 kHz – 25 kHz. Peak output pressure should target 110–115 dB at 3 feet, adjustable down to safe handling limits.
Logic & Timing: Microcontroller-driven logic (e.g., ATtiny85, ESP32, or Arduino-compatible MCU) or robust analog timing (dual NE555 setup). Upon validated bark detection, the ultrasonic sweep must fire for a programmable duration of 1.5 to 2.5 seconds, followed by a mandatory cool-down safety window.
Frequency Modulation: The firmware/logic must feature an automated frequency "warble" or sweep (e.g., oscillating dynamically between 22.5 kHz and 24.5 kHz) during the active cycle to prevent the target animal from habituating to a static tone.
Power Management: 12V DC input power architecture. The board must include reverse-polarity protection and standard voltage regulation down to logic levels (e.g., 5V or 3.3V).Enclosure Context: The electronics must fit within a compact footprint suitable for an IP65 weatherproof project box deployment (outdoor wall-mounted or fence-mounted).
Deliverable 1.2: Finalized Bill of Materials (BOM) featuring active, easily sourceable components from major distributors (e.g., DigiKey, Mouser).
Phase 2: PCB Layout & Firmware Development
Deliverable 2.1: Clean, optimized PCB layout files (Gerber format, 2-layer or 4-layer design) ready for low-volume manufacturing fabrication lines.
Deliverable 2.2: Commented source code (C/C++ or Arduino IDE compatible) handling the signal threshold logic, timing intervals, and frequency generation modules.
Phase 3: Physical Prototyping & Verification
Deliverable 3.1: Production and physical assembly of [Insert Number, e.g., 1 or 2] fully functional, bench-tested physical prototype units.
Deliverable 3.2: A short video showing operational verification (e.g., a function generator or test tone triggering the circuit, verified by an oscilloscope or high-frequency spectrum analyzer application showing the 23 kHz output response).
4. Required Freelancer Qualifications
Proven experience in Analog Circuit Design, specifically audio amplification and active frequency bandpass filtering.
Demonstrated history of PCB Layout Design and component optimization for low-noise environments.
Strong proficiency in Embedded Systems / Firmware Development (C/C++, Arduino IDE, or bare-metal MCU architectures).Prior experience designing animal training, acoustic engineering, or sensor-driven automated hardware projects is highly desirable.

Microsoft Word & PDF Template Designer Needed – Vehicle Hire Documents
I’m looking for an experienced freelancer to professionally recreate and format a couple of existing business documents that we currently use for vehicle/car-hire arrangements.
The documents already contain our terms and conditions. I do not need someone to write the documents from scratch. The main job is to take our existing documents and turn them into professional, reusable company templates.
What I need
I will provide the existing documents.
You will need to:
- Recreate the documents professionally in Microsoft Word.
- Add our company name, address and relevant business details.
- Make variable information easily editable, such as:
- Date
- Hirer/customer details
- Vehicle details
- Registration number
- Hire period
- Day/week hire rate
- Deposit or other charges
- Other relevant details
- Keep the standard terms and conditions as fixed text.
- Produce a professional, clean layout suitable for a legitimate UK business.
- Provide both an editable Word (.docx) version and a PDF version.
- Make the templates easy for us to duplicate and reuse for future customers/vehicle owners.
- Ensure formatting remains consistent when information is changed.
- Ideally use clearly identified fields/placeholders so our staff know exactly what information needs to be entered.
Use of the documents
These templates will mainly be used for vehicle/car-hire arrangements, particularly where our company hires vehicles from individual vehicle owners for use in taxi/private-hire services.
The documents will contain the relevant hire terms and conditions, rates and responsibilities of the parties.
Google Drive
The final Word master templates will be stored in Google Drive, so they need to be practical for repeated use.
We may also want the freelancer to advise on the best way to structure the documents so that we can keep a master copy and create a new completed agreement for each hire without altering the original template.
Important
I want the freelancer to work from our existing documents and preserve the wording and structure of the terms and conditions, unless we specifically ask for changes.
This is primarily a document formatting, template creation and Microsoft Word/PDF job, not a legal drafting job.
Experience creating professional business contracts, hire agreements, rental agreements or similar reusable templates would be an advantage.
Deliverables
1. Editable Microsoft Word (.docx) master template for each document.
2. Professional PDF version of each document.
3. Clearly identified editable fields/placeholders.
4. Clean, professional formatting suitable for a UK business.
5. Final templates tested to ensure they can be reused without formatting problems.
Please include examples of similar business document templates, contracts, hire agreements or forms you have created.
When applying, please also confirm that you are comfortable working from existing documents and converting them into professional reusable Word/PDF templates.

Blurb BookWright Specialist Needed for Two 8×10 Family Legacy Keepsake Books
Applied
not specified

I am seeking an experienced Blurb BookWright designer to lay out two coordinated 8×10 hardcover family legacy books.
These books are being created by a mother for her two adult sons as personal family keepsakes. They will include photographs, letters, family stories, prayers, Scripture reflections, handwritten material, and a few archival pieces.
This is not a book-development project and not a blank-slate design assignment.
The content has already been extensively developed and organized. I will provide:
finalized or near-final manuscripts
a detailed section-by-section book map
numbered photographs and family artifacts
photo-placement guidance
captions and contextual notes
clear cover direction and color palettes
identification of primary, secondary, and optional images
organized high-resolution scans as they become available
The books should feel warm, elegant, polished, personal, and timeless. I am not looking for a scrapbook-style collage on every page, but I also do not need a luxury coffee-table-book treatment. The goal is a beautifully composed family keepsake that feels thoughtful and cohesive.
Each book will be approximately 50–60 pages and will be produced as an 8×10 portrait hardcover through Blurb.
Scope of Work
I need someone who can:
build both books in Blurb BookWright
establish a small set of clean, reusable page layouts
place supplied text and images according to my detailed map
create consistent typography and spacing
handle full-page photographs, multi-photo spreads, letters, handwritten artifacts, and text-led pages
design coordinated covers using supplied direction
maintain visual consistency between the two books without making them identical
make revisions after my review
prepare both projects for ordering through Blurb
I am not asking for substantive writing, developmental editing, photo research, or major content organization. That work has already been completed.
Desired Style
Think:
refined family keepsake / elegant photo-and-story book / warm and sophisticated
Not:
busy scrapbook / highly decorative template / luxury art-book production
I prefer good typography, generous spacing, restrained design, and photographs that are allowed to breathe.
Ideal Freelancer
Please apply if you:
are highly experienced with Blurb BookWright
have created family books, memorial books, legacy books, memoir/photo books, wedding books, travel books, or similar projects
understand image resolution, bleed, safe zones, and print preparation
can work efficiently from a detailed production map
are comfortable using a repeatable layout system rather than designing every page from scratch
Proposal Requirements
Please include:
Examples of two or three relevant BookWright or photo-book projects.
Confirmation that you have substantial experience using Blurb BookWright.
Your fixed-price estimate for both books.
Your estimated turnaround time.
A brief explanation of how you would keep two related books visually coordinated without making them look identical.

Project: EPUB export and formatting from existing InDesign File
I have a completed professionally laid out 295 page memoir in InDesign (.indd + font files) that has already gone through professional proofreading, and correct correction— the interior design and print ready. PDF are finished and do not need to be touched.
What I need is a clean properly formatted EPUB exported from this existing file ready to upload to Kindle direct publishing (KDP)
Important context: I previously attempted to upload the-formatted PDF directly to KDP and it converted poorly (broken table of contents, formatting artifacts) so this needs someone who knows how to properly prep a print file for e-book reflow not just a straight export
Not needed: layout changes, print, formatting or publishing just the EPUB

Nonfiction Book Interior Designer & Formatter
Applied
$250
4
We need an experienced nonfiction book interior designer and formatter to prepare two completed business books for professional publication. The manuscripts are already written, edited, and content-locked, so this is not a writing or editing project. We want polished, professional interiors for a practical business education book and a practical business guide. The final design should feel modern, premium, approachable, and professional, with a clean layout suitable for Amazon KDP publication.
Design and layout of a PCB used in industrial application. This is part of a multi card chassis system being used in harsh climate and high voltage, high transient environment.
I’m looking for an experienced graphic designer to support the final development of a new consumer brand.
The core brand direction and content already exist. I am not looking for a complete brand identity from scratch. I need a designer who can refine the existing visual direction and translate it consistently across physical product packaging and a professionally designed digital document.
There are three primary areas of work:
1. Logo refinement & brand consistency
An existing logo and brand direction will be provided.
I need assistance with:
Refining/polishing the existing logo rather than redesigning the brand from scratch
Ensuring typography, spacing, proportions and overall execution are professional
Preparing appropriate final logo variations and production-ready files
Establishing enough visual consistency that the branding translates well across packaging and documents
2. Physical product label / packaging design
You must have demonstrated experience designing labels or packaging for physical consumer products.
Initial work will involve creating a professional label design system that can subsequently be adapted across multiple products/SKUs.
The designer should understand:
Label and packaging hierarchy
Designing information-dense labels while maintaining a premium, clean appearance
Front-of-pack versus back-of-pack information hierarchy
Typography and legibility at small sizes
Preparing print-ready artwork
Bleed, trim, safe areas and dielines
CMYK/print production requirements
Working with packaging/label printer specifications
Creating a consistent system that can be adapted across a product range
Experience with pet products, supplements, wellness, food, health or premium consumer products would be highly regarded.
3. Professionally designed editable Word document template
I also need a polished multi-page Microsoft Word template for a premium personalised digital product.
The document will contain a combination of educational content, structured information, tables and sections that are customised for each individual customer.
The important requirement is that this is not simply a finished PDF or an InDesign document.
I need a professionally designed editable .docx master template that I can duplicate internally, replace/customise specified content for each customer, and then export directly from Word as a polished PDF.
The template therefore needs to be designed so that:
Branding and overall layout remain consistent
Predefined styles are established for headings, body copy, tables, callouts, etc.
Editable/customisable fields and sections are easy to identify and replace
Page breaks and formatting remain stable as content changes
Headers, footers and page numbering are professionally configured
Tables and other recurring elements are easy to edit
Images/graphics can be replaced where required
The finished document exports cleanly to PDF
Someone without specialist design software can maintain and customise it
Experience with editorial design, reports, eBooks, guides, manuals, workbooks or long-form document typesetting in Microsoft Word is therefore important.
The detailed content and proprietary structure of this document will only be shared with the selected designer.
Deliverables
Initial deliverables are expected to include:
Refined existing logo and final logo file package
Consistent visual/brand treatment across the required materials
Initial physical product label/packaging design
Print-ready packaging artwork plus editable source files
Professionally designed multi-page Microsoft Word master template
Editable .docx file suitable for repeated internal customisation
PDF output example demonstrating how the Word template exports
Appropriate editable/source files and final production files
There is potential for ongoing work as additional products, labels and brand materials are developed.
Required experience
Please apply only if you can demonstrate strong experience in both physical packaging/label design and professional document/editorial layout.
In your proposal, please include:
Examples of physical product labels or packaging you have designed
Examples of multi-page reports, guides, eBooks, manuals or similar editorial work
Confirmation that you are comfortable creating a sophisticated editable Microsoft Word template, rather than only designing in InDesign/Illustrator
Software you normally use for packaging artwork
Your experience preparing files for commercial printing
Your estimated availability and turnaround
Whether you work on a fixed-price or hourly basis
Experience working with an early-stage consumer brand and developing a design system that can grow across multiple products would be advantageous.
Ideal designer
I’m looking for someone with strong attention to detail, excellent typography and layout skills, and a clean, premium design aesthetic.
You should be comfortable taking an existing concept and improving its execution rather than feeling the need to reinvent everything.
Clear communication and the ability to explain practical production considerations are important.
I need two book covers designed for Amazon KDP as part of a series. The covers should follow a consistent theme across both books to create a cohesive look for the series. I’m looking for someone who can create polished, professional designs that are optimized for Amazon KDP and fit the overall branding of the series.
I’m looking for an experienced workbook/eBook designer to format my completed Heal Your Inner Child digital workbook (approximately 150–190 pages) into a polished, professional PDF. All copy is completely finished and locked, and a 5-page approved design sample will be provided showing the exact visual direction. This is primarily a layout and production job, not a writing or editing job. The designer must follow the final master document word-for-word, maintain consistent typography, colours, callout boxes, worksheets, checkboxes and writing spaces, and deliver both the finished PDF and editable source file.
Process
I will provide the final master document + approved 5-page design sample. The designer will first recreate 5 representative pages (as a milestone). Once approved, they will apply that design system consistently throughout the complete workbook. Before delivery, they must compare the finished PDF against the master page-by-page to ensure no text is missing, changed, duplicated or placed in the wrong archetype. I will then complete one final QA/proofing round for genuine formatting or production corrections.
Book Interior Designer for Family Genealogy w/ Photos & Callout Boxes — KDP Hardcover & ePub
Applied
$15 - $35
/ hr
4
TL;DR - Interior Book Designer (hourly) needed for self-published Amazon / KDP 8.25” x 11” hardcover and ePub family genealogy.
Approximately 74,000 words, 58 call-out boxes, and 381 images (photos, maps, legal documents, family trees, etc.) with captions. Transform the .DOCX manuscript into a printable book, including front matter (copyright, title page, …), images, chapter footnotes, TOC, chapter headers, font, overall structure/formatting, page breaks, splits, call out boxes, margins, etc.
Work will proceed in two separate phases (see below).
Background - This book is the culmination of more than 4 decades of research by my father, who is approaching 80 years old and has only basic technical know-how with computer word processing. We are looking for a professional who cares about every detail my father chose to include.
You - You consider yourself an artist. A craftsman. You won’t just copy/paste, you’ll make creative style decisions to produce a beautiful, polished book my father will give to family members and donate to local libraries in the towns where our family has lived over the centuries.
Style - You’ll use your creative eye to evoke a traditional, serious and professional tone without creating a “boring old textbook”. You’ll achieve cohesion, consistency, and legibility throughout. Artistic elements like drop caps or initial letters or other stylistic flourishes are desirable, as appropriate.
Font - Font should ensure legibility for aging eyes without exceeding the maximum page limit (550 pages?) for a KDP 8.25” x 11” Hardcover book. This suggests a larger font (at least 12pt).
Images (and boxes) - All images are embedded directly in the .DOCX manuscript in the order they should appear, relative to the text. There is NO master source file for the images. Many of the images are lower resolution than ideal. There are ~58 non-image callout boxes in the full manuscript (designated in blue text with this indicator “(((BOX ... )))”. You will use your judgment to balance legibility and resolution with the overall interior design, such as whether images/boxes require a surrounding border, backdrop, etc. The book will be published in premium color on white paper (unless you recommend otherwise).
Manuscript - the text has been professionally proof-read. If you notice any obvious errors, please call those out for attention (some text was modified post the professional proofing). Unfortunately, the manuscript itself is kind of a mess. It was written over many years, starting with a Microsoft Word template for a 6” x 9” book from an old KDP template and then edited using Google Docs. There are inconsistent styles, headings, formatting, TOC tags, spacing, page breaks, etc.
Details - As mentioned earlier, details matter to us. If you opt to bid for this project, please include this text in your reply: “I agree. The details matter.” For clarity - yes, please actually include that statement in your bid. Thank you for understanding.
Materials - We will provide access to the .DOCX manuscript for Phase 1 - all materials will be embedded inside the .DOCX file.
Here’s the link (also attached as a PDF): https://docs.google.com/document/d/1RE8deTdjpokiOeMaAOJ80WH6k-bOla_I/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=106339268631653808438&rtpof=true&sd=true
Deliverables - All interior content needed to upload to Amazon / KDP: 8.25” x 11” hardcover design and ePub design (for Kindle) as well as all source files, which should be developed using industry standard tools.
Phase 1 - This first bid is for only the forward content and first chapter of the book. This includes the Preface, Acknowledgements, Foreword, a page with a quote, the (likely hacked) Table of Contents, a Part One page, and Chapter 1. This first bid material contains approximately 5001 words, 29 images, and 7 call-out boxes. Note: Chapter 1 is one of the only chapters without end notes.
Phase 2 - The second phase will include the entire rest of the book and will be bid separately, once phase 1 is completed and approved.
Client's questions:
How do you keep a client informed during a project? Please describe your usual update frequency, how you raise questions or concerns, and how you handle feedback and revisions.
For the paid first phase, how would you show us your proposed design and gather our feedback before formatting all of the Front Matter and Chapter 1?
Have you designed a genealogy or family history book before? Describe the tasks you handled, such as cleaning up manuscript formatting, arranging photos and call-out boxes, adding artistic flourishes, and any design challenges, and how you handled them.

The work includes developing visually appealing templates, optimizing them for search visibility, and ensuring they are ready for easy listing. You should be able to produce clean, professional designs and help improve template discoverability through strong on-page SEO. This is a part-time project for someone who can deliver polished templates and support ongoing template updates as needed.
My book cover is mostly finished, I'd like some style variation suggestions and then a cleanup for the final version. It will have a bunch of quotes to be added to it. I might also need a little help finalizing the existing InDesign manuscript layout.
