I run **Jaxon's Junk Removal** in Perth, Western Australia. I personally film my jobs while I'm working, including interactions with customers, removing and loading junk, before/after shots, funny moments, driving to the tip and dumping the load.

I currently edit everything myself, but the business is growing and I can complete **1-4 jobs per day**, so editing is becoming too time-consuming.

### WHAT YOU'LL BE EDITING

For each job, I'll provide raw footage and I want you to turn it into **one finished short-form video**, generally around 30–90 seconds.

The taillights already use EXL Concepts LED boards and a proprietary controller. We want to determine whether the existing boards can be controlled by a different programmable controller, such as an ESP32, STM32 or BlueGhozt-type system, rather than rebuilding the taillights.

I’m looking for an experienced 3D vehicle modeler to create an accurate exterior model of the Subaru Brataroo 9500 Turbo driven by Travis Pastrana.

I have a large collection of reference photos covering the vehicle from many angles. I’ll attach a small selection to the job post, and the full reference set will be provided to the selected freelancer through Upwork. The goal is to recreate the exterior shape and proportions accurately in Blender, with clean topology that I can modify myself later.

This is primarily a reference reconstruction and automotive modeling job. I am not looking for concept design.

## Scope

I only need the exterior of the vehicle.

I do not need:

- Interior
- Engine or engine bay
- Suspension or drivetrain
- Detailed underbody
- UV mapping
- Texturing
- Rigging
- LODs
- Game-engine setup
- Final fitting to another chassis

I will handle all later modifications and fitting myself.

Detailed wheels and tires are also not a priority. Simple correctly sized wheels are sufficient if they are useful for establishing proportions.

## Main deliverable

The final deliverable should be an editable Blender `.blend` file containing:

- Accurate exterior proportions and curvature
- Clean, primarily quad-based topology
- Subdivision-friendly geometry
- Subdivision Surface modifier left unapplied
- Mirror modifier preserved where practical
- Real-world scale
- Sensible separation of major parts such as the main body, bumpers, lights, mirrors and aero components
- A mesh that is easy to continue editing in Blender

The control mesh should be reasonably lightweight. Approximately 10,000–25,000 quads for the exterior is a guideline rather than a strict requirement. Accuracy and good topology are more important than hitting a particular polygon count.

Please avoid unnecessarily dense topology, CAD-style tessellation, automatic remeshing, AI-generated final geometry or heavily triangulated topology.

## Accuracy is the priority

The model will eventually be used as the basis for modifications to a real vehicle project, so the underlying body shape is much more important than tiny cosmetic details.

Particular attention should be paid to:

- Overall silhouette and proportions
- Wheel position and wheel arches
- Greenhouse shape
- A-pillars
- Windshield angle and curvature
- Roof profile
- Hood shape
- Front fenders and widebody curvature
- Front corners
- Side body profile
- Rear cab and bed proportions
- Major aerodynamic/body components

I have numerous reference photographs available and will provide the full reference set through Upwork.

## Workflow

I would like to work in two main stages.

**1. Initial blockout**

First establish the major proportions, wheel positions, greenhouse, windshield, roofline and primary body volumes.

I would like to review screenshots of this stage before detailed modeling continues. This is mainly to make sure the proportions are correct before time is spent on smaller details.

**2. Final exterior**

Complete and refine the exterior, compare it against the supplied reference images, make agreed corrections, and clean up the final editable topology.

I am happy to provide feedback during the project, but I expect the freelancer to work independently and use their experience to interpret the reference photos and reconstruct the vehicle accurately.

Progress screenshots in Blender, including occasional wireframe views, would be useful during the project.

## Experience I’m looking for

You should have previous experience with automotive or vehicle modeling and understand subdivision modeling and clean hard-surface topology.
