We are looking for an experienced CNC programmer who can help us create and standardize cutting/programming instructions for our projects. We currently do not have an in-house CNC programmer, so this role would involve:

Setting up CNC toolpaths and cutting instructions for cabinetry and millwork

--The modified gable with windows has been strengthened by having the window framing connecting to the sheathing, strengthened laterally by connections to the gable rafter, the roof ridge, the vaulted ceiling ridge, and the vaulted ceiling hangers which extend laterally throughout the structure.


2. Provide calculations which show how the removal of the ceiling joists shown in the original permit drawings from 1978 have not compromised the structural load path.

This will require a calculation comparing structural load path calculations for the original ceiling (with all ceiling joists intact) with the structural load path calculations of the modified ceiling (with joists 2 and 4 removed and joist 3 strengthened with a triple joist.)

--The original ceiling was standard construction 2x6s on 24-inch centers, with 2x4 hangers connecting each ceiling joist to the roof ridge.

--The vaulted ceiling is, along with the center triple joist, additionally strengthened by hangers to the roof ridge and from the ceiling joists to roof rafters, as well as trusses connecting the vaulted ceiling rafters from the roof ridge to the room ceiling joists.

Scope of Work:
MEP + Title 24 (Permit Submittal Ready)

Task: Provide complete Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) design and Title 24 Energy compliance for a 14-unit, 4-story R-2 multifamily project in San Diego.

Deliverables (permit-ready):

MEP calculations and drawings suitable for professional building permit submittal, including equipment sizing, ventilation/IAQ, DHW, piping, power/lighting, one-line riser, panel schedules, and required notes/details.

Title 24 (2022) energy model and compliance forms (PDF).

Stamped plans: Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical design packages that meet City requirements.

PDF + CAD files for all sheets; calculation packages (PDF).

Plan-check responses through approval.

Coordination/Assumptions:

Coordinate with architect and structural; show space and interconnection for Fire Sprinklers (NFPA 13) and PV/Battery as deferred submittals by others.

Owner provides latest architectural CAD backgrounds, window/door schedule, and utility info.

Basis of Design/Codes: Current adopted 2022 CBC/CMC/CPC/CEC, Title 24 Part 6, CalGreen, and City of San Diego submittal standards.

Fee & Schedule: Fixed price $7,500; target start Oct 13; ~2 weeks to permit set after receipt of final backgrounds.

ROLE SUMMARY
We are hiring a full-time international Low Voltage Estimator to support our U.S. operations.

You will receive construction plans and scopes of work and will be responsible for producing material takeoffs, labor estimates, and professional summaries that our sales and project teams can rely on.

This is a long-term, contract-to-hire role. This is not a one-off freelance task.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
This role includes reviewing architectural and low-voltage drawings (PDF), performing complete material takeoffs, and calculating labor hours based on scope and complexity.

Typical estimating scope includes:
Data cabling (Cat6 / Cat6A)
Fiber (single-mode / multi-mode)
Pathways (J-hooks, conduit, trays)
Racks, cabinets, and patch panels
Floor boxes and wall plates

You will also be expected to identify plan inconsistencies, missing details, or conflicts, produce clear estimating summaries for U.S.-based sales teams, and maintain organized estimate files and revisions.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Must-have requirements include at least 3 years of low-voltage or structured cabling estimating experience, the ability to read U.S. construction drawings and legends, strong written and verbal English skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to ask clarifying questions when plans are unclear.

NICE-TO-HAVE EXPERIENCE
Experience with U.S. commercial projects, familiarity with prevailing wage projects, knowledge of fiber termination standards, and experience working with U.S.-based contractors or MSPs are all strong pluses.

WORK SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION
This is a full-time role (40 hours per week) starting as a long-term contractor position.

Target compensation is $1,200–$2,000 USD per month depending on experience, with opportunity for raises and expanded responsibility over time.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete a PAID TEST TASK using real (sanitized) plans.

The paid test allows us to evaluate accuracy, thought process, communication, and attention to detail. Candidates who perform well will be offered a long-term position.

We are developing a 3D construction kit (assembly model) of the Dom Luís I Bridge (Porto) made of plywood or acrylic. This is a commercial product intended for production using laser cutting. We are looking for an experienced industrial designer or design engineer specializing in laser cutting technologies, who understands the properties of plywood (or acrylic) and the mechanics of assembly joints.
Communication language: Ukrainian, Russian. English - written only.

Goal:
Create a highly detailed, realistic structure that can be assembled by the customer without glue (friction fit / interference fit) and features hidden integration of LED lighting.

Tasks:
3D Modeling and Engineering: Development of the bridge structure for plywood or acrylic.

Lighting Integration: Designing a technical compartment in the model's base for specific components:
USB Type-C breakout board (precise mounting hole required).
RF remote controller unit.
Non-standard narrow LED strip (5 mm) — appropriate slots must be provided.

Production Files: Preparation of 2D vector files (DXF/CDR) ready for cutting. Proper nesting of parts on the sheet is required to save material.

Technical Requirements (Mandatory):

Kerf Compensation: You must understand how to account for the laser beam thickness in the drawings to ensure a tight fit for "mortise and tenon" parts without play.

Material Knowledge: Experience working with the limitations of plywood or acrylic (avoiding elements that are too thin and might burn or break in hands).

Joint Types: Ability to use standard joints (Finger joints / Mortise and tenon) without infringing on third-party patents.

Software: Fusion 360 or AutoCAD. The result is required in vector format.
