# Introduction

> Connect Claude or ChatGPT to your Vollna account

The Vollna MCP server connects an AI app to your Vollna account. The app reads your filters, jobs, proposals and analytics, and changes filters, templates and auto-bidding when you ask it to.

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is how Claude, ChatGPT and Claude Code connect to data outside the chat.

## What you can ask

* "Why do my proposals get so few replies this month?" The app can read your proposal funnel and rank the causes by replies lost.
* "Which jobs in my Shopify filter don't fit me, and what change keeps them out?" It can check why each job matched and test a change on the last 30 days before you save it.
* "Try this qualifier prompt on last week's jobs." It can show which verdicts would flip, and save the prompt when you agree.
* "Compare competition in React and Vue jobs." It can read Market Insights and niche difficulty for both.
* "What stops my auto-bidding setups from bidding?" It can list each setup with what blocks it.

The app decides which tools to call. [Recipes](/docs/mcp/recipes) has prompts that lead it to the right ones.

The app acts as you, with your role in your team. It sees what you see in the dashboard and nothing more.

## Who has it

MCP works on paid Vollna plans. The team's plan must be active and paid up. Trials do not include MCP.

## Your data

Everything the app reads goes to the company behind the app: Anthropic for Claude and Claude Code, OpenAI for ChatGPT. That includes job posts, your proposals and cover letters, client details from Upwork and your analytics. Their terms decide how they store it.

Revoking the app in Vollna stops new reads. It does not delete what the app already received.
