# Troubleshooting

> What to do when auto-bidding stops, skips a job, or hides a setting you expect.

## My proposal template is not in the dropdown

The setup form lists only templates created with an **Agency** profile. A template built on an individual freelancer profile never appears.

Open [Proposal Templates](/docs/bidding/overview), create a template, and pick the agency in **Upwork profile**. Then select it in the setup.

## Bidding stopped with "Insufficient Connects"

Buy connects on the **agency** profile on Upwork. Connects on a freelancer profile do not fund agency proposals. Then turn on [auto top-up](/docs/auto-bidding/auto-top-up-connects) so it does not happen again. Jobs skipped in the meantime stay skipped. Use **Apply Now** on any you still want.

## Bidding stopped with "Agency Plus membership is required"

Upwork needs Agency Plus to submit a proposal on behalf of an agency member. Upgrade the agency on Upwork. Bidding resumes with the next matching job.

## Proposals go out later than I expect

* A built-in delay before every proposal.
* **Additional Time Delay** on the setup, 1 to 60 minutes. Turn it off to remove it.
* **Manual approval**. The job waits for your Approve, or until **If no action taken** runs out.

Open the setup, section **Limits & timing**, and lower or turn off the extra delay. Then check **Manual approval**.

## A job was skipped and I do not know why

Open the job on [Jobs](/docs/auto-bidding/jobs). The skip reason is in the red status line. The common ones:

| Reason                                                     | Meaning                                                                                                                                      |
| ---------------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Auto-bidding setup was paused                              | Someone paused the setup while the job was scheduled. Resume does not restore it. Use **Apply Now**.                                         |
| An equal or higher-priority bidder already queued this job | Another setup of yours picked the job first. See priority on [Dashboard](/docs/auto-bidding/dashboard).                                           |
| Already applied by another bidder                          | Another setup of yours already sent a proposal. Turn off **Do not apply if another bidder already applied** to bid from more than one setup. |
| Job older than the freshness window                        | The job waited past **Bid only on jobs posted within the last …** while your schedule was off.                                               |
| Daily proposal limit reached                               | The setup hit its **Daily Proposal Limit**. It resets at midnight in the setup's timezone.                                                   |
| Monthly proposal limit reached                             | The plan limit is used up. Turn on **Continue over limit** or wait for the next period.                                                      |
| AI Disqualified                                            | The qualifier rejected the job. The reason is under the status. Use **Process anyway** to bid.                                               |

## The Slack channel is missing from the picker

In Slack, open the channel and run `/invite @vollna_bot`. Back in the setup, click **Refresh**.

Archived channels, direct messages and Slack Connect channels never appear. Pick a public or private channel. See [Slack channel access](/docs/notifications/slack-channel-access).

## US-only or UK-only jobs are skipped

Upwork does not let an agency outside the US or UK apply to those jobs. Nothing in Vollna changes this. The filter can exclude them so they do not fill the skipped list.

## My request is still "Under review"

The app says approval usually takes 12 hours. Before writing to support, check on Upwork that the invite went to the Business Manager email shown in the app and carries the **Agency manager** role. A rejected request shows the reason and a **Start Over** button.

## A setup paused on its own

Vollna pauses a setup when the approval is lost, when the filter it uses is deleted, or when the trial ends. Open the setup, pick a filter if it is empty, and turn **Status** back on.
